  1. I still think Attanasio will be willing to pay Sheets if he wants to stay here.
  2. I was wondering recently where that June prediction thread went. I seem to recall several people predicting bad things for the Crew in July. EDIT: Man, that search function is a pretty cool thing. June Prediction Thread I must have been thinking of a different thread. Almost all predicted a pretty decent month.
  3. Jump on the Cubs bandwagon everyone... Ten tips if you're jumping on a bandwagon I enjoyed this line... "when you plant a team flag on your car, it signifies that you have expanded the realm of human depravity and traveled to yet another bandwagon. Congratulations! And may your bandwagon drive off a cliff."
  4. I'm sure everyone has heard but just in case... I-94 opens 1 lane each way
  5. It's still a "W". Dillard wouldn't normally be in the majors right now anyway, and Riske was obviously rusty. All that matters is Bush pitched well, the Cards lost putting the crew only two back in the WC, and they are also closer to 1st place than they are to last place right now.
  6. For some reason I knew that grand slam was coming. Now you have to use Torres. Thanks Dillard and Riske.
  7. I was just thinking the same thing.
  8. Did anyone catch the distance of Branyan's shot? Or at least to those watching on TV, where did it eventually come back down to Earth?
  9. Let Fielder go be a DH. Trade Hardy when Escobar is ready to take over. Sign Gallardo, Parra, Weeks, and Hart. He's not one of the young guys, but I still think they need to sign Sheets as well, if they want to make a serious run at the WS.
  10. "I'm Only Sleeping", the Beatles. I played that song for, and sang it to, my daughter quite a few times. Most of the Revolver album actually. Listening to the words I always imagined John holding Julian and signing it for him. Course I'm not even sure if Julian was born at the time yet, but whatever.
  11. She weighs like 95 pounds. Too thin for my tastes. You definitely wouldn't go for my ex-wife then. She was all of 5'0 tall and 85 pounds. LOVE those cute little petite women.
  12. Stacy London is a fox. Yep, gonna have to agree with that one. She can dress me in anything she wants, any day of the week. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. I assume you're talking about the route that goes north around the lake. Will do.
  14. I'll second this statement.
  15. I admit it. I didn't know what crocs were until I saw the pictures. Put me in this group as well. I wouldn't wear those things. Just don't like how they look. I'm not afraid to admit I watch "What Not to Wear" from time to time. So if anyone's looking for an "is it fashionable to wear crocs" answer, my guess is that Stacy and Clinton would probably throw those in the garbage can. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. Thanks, Diskono. I think I'm going to try the 16 / A / 89 / 94 route thou. A couple of people suggested it here... http://www.jsonline.com/content/forum/i94.asp Also someone who lives in Sun Prairie and works in Milwaukee suggested this: Yesterday I took 41 to 33 to 151. That ended up only being an extra 20 miles and 30 min.
  17. That would be cool. Hopefully it's ready by Saturday morning.
  18. What about this? Does anyone have any info on these roads? First can we get all the way to Watertown on 16? Then HW A down to 89, and get on 94 westbound at 89. The map doesn't show them as being closed.
  19. Has anyone found a better way to Madison from Milwaukee yet? I need to go to Sun Prairie, Saturday morning. Yesterday, I took 59 to Palmyra, 106 to Fort Atkinson, and 12 to Madison. Very little traffic, and it seemed pretty quick. This sounds like it may be my best bet. But I can't decide if I should take 73 up to 19 then over to Sun Prairie, or stay on 12 'till N, then up to SP. I've never been on 73, 19 or N, so I don't know what's better. Suggestions anyone???
  20. They really messed up the post game demonstration with Blyleven tonight. The audio died. How can you let that happen. That might have actually have been a fun one to watch.
  21. I'm simply a UW-Milwaukee alumnus, and have season tickets to men's basketball.
  22. Sort of on the same topic here... I'm wondering how attendence will be effected this weekend by all the rain we've had. How many of those Twins fans are still going to make the trip over? My Dad was supposed to be coming over for tonight and tomorrow's games, he lives over by LaCrosse, but he's not now. I guess a portion of I94 is still closed down?? He doesn't see very well anymore, so he doesn't want to chance driving into a lake or something.
  23. One great thing the Ushers do. They dont let you go back to your seat until the AB is over.... LOVE THAT! (course I had to watch Jenks' GS from the aisle. YES!! Agreed. They need to do this at Miller Park. I will be very disappointed if they don't do this WHEN the Crew is in the playoffs this year. I am so sick of the drunks getting up, stumbling in front of me, to go get another beer that they obviously don't need, while Braun or Prince is in the middle of an AB.
  24. So some reporter, respected or not, is around our team for a few hours over three days, and comes to the conclusion that "there are so many bad vibes in that place it might explode". Yeah, right. Like him or not, I'm sure Tom Haudricourt would have reported something or said something in his daily interview in Homer's show on am540. All I've ever heard TH say is the players like Ned. When was this guy supposedly in the clubhouse anyway? If it was after the game on Tuesday, I would expect the team to be pissed, I would be worried if they weren't. At that point they were 1-3 on the road trip and had just gotten crushed that night. If they were all joking around and pretending nothing was wrong like they were leading the division by 10 games, again, I would be worried. I put no stock in his comments at all.
  25. I really hate they had to put Corey in the leadoff spot. You now have one of your only .300 hitters and a guy who has been good with runners in scoring position, batting after the pitcher and a bunch of strike out machines. I don't like Hardy hitting second either. Moving him to the 2 spot isn't going to change the fact he's a below average hitter. But, it's not like they have any other options right now. So I have to agree with some others, this is probably the best lineup they can put out there right now, given the circumstances.
