The first menu (to the left of "File") is called the Application Menu. It has the application's name. OS X's interface guidelines always put a program's preferences in that menu. Also, they're always called "Preferences" rather than one program having "Preferences," another having "Options," and another having "Settings." [it might be more accurate to say "most to all" as colby does; there could be a rogue program out there that screws this up.] When Firefox was first being developed, I remember the arguments on MozillaZine among Windows and Linux users about where the options/preferences belonged and what to call them. There was no argument among Mac users because the name and place was predetermined. By the way, if you're using Firefox in Linux, look for "Preferences" in the Edit menu. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Other handy items in the Application Menu will hide the current application or hide other applications. It's one way to maintain control over a cluttered desktop.
