  1. 3 games out after tonight..I know there's a lot of season left, but that feels like dangerous territory to me, especially since, seemingly the Cubs just won't lose right now. They are getting gifts from opponents left and right.
  2. If they do that, they are obviously waving the white flag on the season. That would be pathetic. Just go get an arm and be done with it. Problem solved.
  3. This is the point in the game now where the Brewer bats go silent. We have seen it time and time again.
  4. Chacín’s been bad all year, teams 7 under in his starts, he needs to go away, I don’t even want him in the mop up role in the pen. Trade/DFA. Peralta will do better. I want Peralta no where near the rotation...that's not going to solve the issue...they NEED to go get a big arm. Period.
  5. We can’t give up the prospects it would take to get 3 arms. Yes...they can..and they NEED to. If they want to salvage this season..but I'm about at the point after how the Cubs won today and the Cards putting up 10 in the 6th inning that I'm convinced those two teams are going to have lucky go there way the rest of the year and no matter what the Crew does it won't matter.
  6. Such an important game for the crew to win with Cubs and cards winning AGAIN(convinced the Cubs may never lose again, at least not when the Crew wins), and Chacin is blowing it..
  7. Chacin showing why the Crew needs another arm for the stretch run
  8. The problem is, if you call Shaw back up, he HAS to play, or why bother?? Right now, there is no place to play him unfortunately.
  9. Can't help it...yes there's a long ways to go, but everyday that goes by without ground being made up, means one less day to make up that ground. I'd really like to see the Brewers at worst be even with the Cubs by the time they meet next week, ideally, they would flip the 2 game lead, but of course the Cubs keep winning in junk ways.
  10. Screw you Reds!! Up 7-0 and have allowed an 8 spot in the 6th. Doesn't it just figure, the Brewers just start playing a bit better and have nothing to show for it, as everyone else around them keeps winning too. Make that a 10 run top of the 6th for the Cardinals, are you kidding me??
  11. My hope was/is that the Crew would get really hot here and flip the 2 game division lead in their favor going into that Cubs series next week. That's one of the reasons I'm getting so pissed when they have been pulling sh*t out of their asses to win games lately.
  12. Here is the SNY article on it... Mets sent exec Ruben Amaro Jr. to scout Brewers, who are interested in trading for Zack Wheeler, Noah Syndergaard Beautiful! We want Thor! We want Thor! We want Thor!
  13. Meh, not really a major needle mover.
  14. I care about the Cubs, that is afterall the team the Brewers are chasing right now. I'm starting to get really PO'd at that team having a horseshoe up their asses since the ASB. That win today was flat out garbage. A freaking error wins it for them. Total BS.
  15. Why would they be scouting players on the 25 man roster - Only players that they would see, that could be moved and make sense is Arcia or Peralta, but they have rosario to play SS I can think of several, they COULD be looking at or at least guys I consider trade able off the current team..Arcia, Chacin, Aguilar/Thames, Peralta, Pina, Albers, Chase, and yes even Davies(IF the brewers target is Syndergaard). Then again, this report could be false, or they could be scouting Dbacks players. Who knows??
  16. Woodruff is a TOR arm, and Davies is pretty dang close to that level. They could use more depth in the rotation to be sure, but I don't think it's a good idea to give up a huge amount of capital just because the guy you're trading for has a recognizable name. Davies is no where near TOR arm...Get out of here with that non-sense. Thank you...Syndergaard and Madbum both are TOR arms.
  17. Reading about all these scouts watching guys like madbum, Syndergaard, Stroman etc, and we have not heard a peep about Brewers scouts anywhere. That disappoints me, I want a TOR arm.
  18. If they are looking for pitching what's left to offer them? Arcia may interest them. Grisham may interest them as part of a package, but where's the pitching they'd want? Peralta...IF and only if Ray is the top arm they'd get. if they get him plus another bigger arm, then I'd put Peralta in that deal.
  19. This right here, Minor would be fine, as long as it's in addition to a bigger fish. Minor by himself...meh.
  20. Jon Morosi @jonmorosi 25m Sources: Mike Minor is increasingly likely to be traded in the next two weeks, as I reported a short time ago on @MLBNetwork. The #Brewers and #Phillies are among the interested teams, although there’s no indication that a deal is close. @MLB
  21. You all hate on Saladino...but Arcia is 5-33 since Saladino came up. That's so much better, right?? So much in fact, he deserves to be starting every game! He's just absolutely raking!
  22. I've been rolling this general premise around in my head a bit and it might be the best option. I think the Indians are trying to win, so I don't see them trading Bauer. Maybe you go for Greinke instead with Ray as the headliner...having them send back 15-20 million. I also will say I like your targets other than Bauer, but I don't like any of those trades at all. Also, Chacin/Albers are getting minimal return if traded. Chacin might get the Cashner return at best...Albers will get a 25 year old in high a with no upside. The general premise of going big this deadline though, I think I might like it. We've also seen how trades can help energize your core players and spark winning streaks. This is right, go big or go home. ALL in..It's why you signed Moose and Grandal in the off season. You have probably a 2 or 3 year window left..take advantage of every single year of that window while you can. If it fails, it wasn't for lack of trying.
  23. Adam McCalvy @AdamMcCalvy David Stearns said he hopes to be a buyer at the Trade Deadline, but the team's play will help drive the decision. "It is a very important stretch," he said.
