  1. It's worth pointing out that we don't need the game to be played, postpone as much as you want.
  2. The upshot of that graphic is that except for the Padres every payoff team is closer in record to the Rockies then to us since then.
  3. On a different note because we have entered the realm of the completely over the top. I'll call the Quintana complete game no-hitter today right now.
  4. So this is slightly different, but also I think instructive of eeking out the margins. Someone had asked about unearned runs and no one was surprised that we led the league by a noticeable amount. We also lead the league in Runs scored vs. RBI differential. Currently we have 45 more runs than RBI, next closest are the Reds at 33. I didn't have time to download into a spreadsheet to calculate the average, but there are only a couple of other teams to have even 30 more runs than RBI. So the average is somewhere in the 20's which means we are squeezing out a good 2 extra wins with our style of play
  5. At what point do others teams think about forfeiting and getting guys some rest?
  6. Well seemingly the less probable on paper the more destiny says the opposite this year!
  7. It shows how big of a team player he is skipping the glory of another cycle to instead just a hit a HR
  8. If I am a Cubs fan almost regardless of what happens this weekend I'd feel the need to go at least 4-1 during the series next week. At this point even just winning the series 3-2 since it would also give us the tie breaker is like adding 2 more games. And once that series is over there are not a lot of games left.
  9. 0-1 I went to the 25 year anniversary game. I don't think I'm allowed to attend in person now.
  10. His RBI pace with us is still high enough that if he played all the remaining games he'd finish with 102 for the year. Crazy
  11. Granted he had some time in the minors, but even if they are relatively small it still sounded like a lot of little adjustments to still get everything clicking as soon as he did is pretty remarkable as well.
  12. After we win the World Series it will all be fine.
  13. I appreciate the comparison Joseph, too close to call is a good enough answer that tells me what I wanted to know.
  14. The high number of starts in the platoon is far less of a concern give how quickly Durbin has been used to pinch hit so far. Basically it's more like Seigler has been the 'opener' to face the lefty starter and snagging some favorable ABs.
  15. Well simple math of 6 inning 1 run starts for 10 more starts and I got 174 innings with a 2.59 ERA, which is pretty good but Skenes currently has an ERA of 2.02 so he would need to have a meltdown or Priester would need some old school bump from maybe winning 20 games for a contender or something.
  16. So based on his RBI/ game total with us, if he gets 2 off days I still got a 117 RBI season for Vaughn.
  17. As awesome as the pitching lab is releasing Hudson points out that relievers are still volatile and a big part of the Brewer success is built on understanding that and having guys to shuffle around as needed and eventually move on without just blindly hoping guys will find it again.
  18. Is Montgomery at all able to comeback yet this year?
