  1. I'll probably buy the shirt if I see it at a Kohl's or something similar before I go to the game Tuesday. If it is on the road or they win the division though it is getting returned.
  2. Since the division is still in play one scenario still out there is the Nats/Brewers/Cardinals all end up tied and since Cards/Brewers would play game 163, if the Brewers lost they would no longer have the tiebreaker over the Nats because of game 163 and would be the road team in the Wild Card. Of course they can just win game 163 again and not worry about the Wild Card at all.
  3. The way Moose has played not sure why the Brewers wouldn't offer him a two year deal. It would actually be nice to know they have somebody at 3B for a couple of years since there is nothing in the minors.
  4. I hope so, worst team to go to or win a World Series would be even better though.
  5. That was kind of bizarre to me that they elected to pitch to the guy that was actually hitting in a game with 4 runs in 19 innings. It wasn't like it was already 2nd and 3rd either, it was 1st and 2nd so it made it easier to score the winning run by having the guy on third.
  6. Moose is getting up there in years, probably best for him to take the option money and get a multi year deal with somebody so don't really think there is any way the option is exercised. However since 3B would be a huge question mark, the Brewers offering a multi year deal may be best for both.
  7. Expect a big day from Thames, Mahle has been crushed by Thames in his young career and it's the Reds.
  8. Yes they would but that would be Friday at the earliest.
  9. Not sure if anybody else noticed but Davis scored the winning run in a 5-4 walk off against the Red Sox Friday and was on base when a walk off home run was hit the following day to win 5-4 again. Great story for him.
  10. Yep, officially eliminated and face Scherzer, automatic loss.
  11. Hopefully the Phillies can win the first game, fear that they will just punt the second game if they are officially eliminated after Game 1.
  12. Not Cain related but while waiting in line for the base run it was kind of fun to see David Freitas play baseball with his daughter in right field.
  13. There is nothing to hope for, NLDS#3 is a Sunday, 4 is Monday.
  14. World Series Friday-Sunday though so that would be a fun weekend.
  15. I'm not seeing much profit potential in the Wild Card and Divisional. A Tuesday night, Sunday against the Packers/Cowboys game and a Monday that will potentially be an afternoon game.
  16. Reds just won, WC is looking real good. Hoping for some Cardinals losses.
  17. I still see no way they go with 13 pitchers in a Wild Card game as it is almost impossible to use them all. If for no reason than they need actual hitters to pinch hit for the pitching spot.
  18. This is all under a pay wall with the Athletic but Robert Murray had a podcast on the 16th indicating the Brewers are in preliminary talks for a new deal with Lyles, no money mentioned. He also just did an article on Lyles where he mentioned the Astros showed strong interest in Lyles before the Brewers swooped in and made a deal. Also gave credit to Grandal in Lyles improvement and the confidence in Lyles curveball.
  19. For those that do not know, the schedule for the playoffs is already set. Game 163 would be Monday September 30th, The Wild card would be Tuesday the 1st and the two potential NLDS games in Milwaukee would be Sunday the 6th and Monday the 7th.
  20. Would seriously consider starting Pina again at catcher since he has hit lefties so well this year. Gives Grandal another day off from catching along with the day off coming on Monday. Be nice if Grandal could help carry this offense the last week of the season.
  21. My goodness that escalated quickly. Sure as heck hope Counsell wouldn't encourage anybody hitting somebody in the face. Black could kill somebody.
  22. Ya i don't understand the start time either. Maybe the thought process is the Padres get 2 hours heading back to the west coast so they are starting 2 hours later than usual? idk. I kind of like it, allowed me to pick up the kids and take them to the game after school.
  23. I'm going with a little unusual lineup Cain Hiura Moose Braun Austin Perez Taylor Pina Lyles With a lefty again tomorrow would start Pina again Friday with Grandal at first.
  24. Nationals have off today so a good day to pick up a half game on them. However they then play 11 games in 10 days because of a double header with the Phillies.
