Petricka's line was not very encouraging either and he has been pretty bad for a while. Guess Fields is the next man up.

Maybe the bullpen wasn't as questionable at this point last year but the guys they counted on most August-the playoffs were Jeffress/Burnes/Knebel/Soria/Woodruff/Hader. Now they only have Hader in the bullpen.

All it takes is one poster, he is in low A again and still a long ways away so doubt many care either way.
  4. Outlander
Lara was at risk this past off season but nobody selected him.

Good to see Trent Grisham have a good couple of games. He has always been real young for his level so hopefully repeating AA will give him confidence and better results. Also didn't know he was going to play CF on a regular basis so would like to see how he performs defensively as well.

Probably, I'm sure Gamel will get the majority of the starts in that situation and whoever is brought up will be on the bench a lot. No reason to start the clock on Ray and add him to the 40 man to just sit.

It was only a matter of time before Stearns would claim a guy like this. He has probably been itching to put Wahl and Knebel on the 60 day DL but nobody worth claiming before this.
  8. Outlander
Correct, some were implemented in 2019 but others like the 15 Day IL, 3 pitcher minimum and 26 man roster are set for 2020.

I think that may be the case as well. I know somebody else mentioned Peralta having the lowest floor and ceiling, however in my opinion he has the lowest floor but the highest ceiling so there could be some peaks and valleys.

I'm pretty sure Gallardo had one where he also scored the only run of the game, maybe back in 2011ish time..not sure. I dont think Grienke had one for us but he did have the game where he allowed 0 R in 9IP but was removed for extras I believe. So Ill say Gallardo and Wolf? I was at that game in April 2009 against the Pirates on weather day at the ballpark. Gallardo and the Brewers won 1-0, the only score on a Gallardo HR. It is not the correct answer though because Carlos Villanueva pitched the ninth.

If somebody beats you to it there really is no reason to make another post like this. Get up earlier next year.

You are missing the vastly overpaid part, he isn't worth it. He is 33 and the basketball version of Curtis Granderson. He is fine to have on the team for the playoff run but is easily replaceable next year contrary to what you and Luke believe.

I certainly hope the Bucks don't pay Hill $18 million, actually do think it is a good decision to cancel a contract over the principle of vastly overpaying the individual. He has been okay but his importance is quite overstated when someone says they will drop to 3rd in the East if Hill leaves.
  15. Outlander
It was a small blurb but Murray indicates his sources at the Brewers are pessimistic a deal can be reached.

Got free tickets in the right field bullpen area. I am also in the camp of would rather go to multiple games vs. paying for Opening Day but if it is free tickets/food/beer then I am there.

I am thinking of taking this trip with the family as well especially since one of the days is the 4th and a paid holiday. Have been to both parks but it has been a good 15 years. I'm sure my kids will like the incline thing they have in Pittsburgh and the view of downtown from up there. Maybe even stop for a visit that Monday to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Home Run Derby if tickets are available.

I get MLB TV for free since I am a T-Mobile customer. Just a reminder if you are a customer of them that you have only a few days to claim the free subscription.

Not good for Saladino when Wes Wilson and Nate Orf make it over him.
  20. Outlander
One thing to consider is Fields has over 5 years service time so he can refuse any assignment to the minors after he is added to the 40 man and gets called up. Therefore, being so close to Opening Day my guess is he begins the year in the minors.
  21. Outlander
Cobb gets 1 year $5 millions, not totally bargain basement but better start producing if he wants a contract next year.

I would pick the Bucks first and then a huge drop to the Packers and then the Brewers. Giannis is one of the best and possibly the best player in the NBA, still very young and can determine if a championship is won more than any player on any Wisconsin team. I'll go Packers second because that is the league where a team can make the leap from non playoff team to Super Bowl caliber team the quickest and they still have Rodgers. The Brewers I put last because so many things have to go right to win a championship in baseball and I probably will never believe the Brewers will win a World Series until I see it.
  23. Outlander
Yes, but he was outrighted the year after being selected by the Brewers so anybody could have grabbed him.
  24. Outlander
Probably hedged their bets a bit thinking Bledsoe would get a bigger offer in free agency. Doesn't really stop them from paying Middleton if they want him.
  25. Outlander
Correct, after signing their draft picks it will reduce their cap room by 4 or 5 million
