Johnson, Martinez and Biggio will for sure get elected this year. Hoping that Piazza does as well as he should already be in. Would be nice if Bagwell and Biggio went in the same year but Bagwell has too much ground to pick up this year, maybe 2016. Thinking Smoltz will be waiting a while with similar pitchers like Schilling and Mussina out there. Glad that ballot clogger Mattingly will finally be removed. Wouldn't mind if Sosa received less than 5% since he stands no chance of getting elected by the writers.
It is really based on age but since all players drafted out of college are older than 18, college players are eligible after 4 season. So if they were drafted in 2011 out of college then they are eligible this year, guys like Lopez and Reed will be eligible in 2015 because they were under 19 when drafted. Not sure about a guy like Lara if he gets more time. There will be quite a few top prospects that the Brewers will have to add next year along with some of the guys they chose not to protect this year. Fortunately or unfortunately, for the Brewers there are a number of guys in their last year so maybe it won't be too much of an issue.
Kind of interesting to look back and see that not a single person voted for Strong and he was just added to the 40 man. 3 of the top 25 players (17,18,23) could be drafted in the rule 5 draft.
I would guess you are correct but the WWE Network is free this month and I would think they would have something big planned on this PPV. I mean besides Cena would anybody really care all that much if anybody else on that team was fired? It is a longshot but maybe Cena finally turns heel.
Henson's minutes are odd but this is his third coach and they have all done the same thing so in this case I am inclined to give the benefit of the doubt to Kidd and Henson is the one that needs to improve or make adjustments to his game or work ethic.
He provides no power but he is an on base guy so I think he could fit in with the team as they currently have a bunch of low on base guys with power. Not saying he should start or anything but worth a look. If Satin can really play 2B at the big league level it could give him the edge over Jimenez and Rogers.
Good call, could be a potential right handed side of the platoon for both Gennett and Lind. Probably worth an invite to spring training. Actually hit 317/404/476 against lefties the only year he had some decent playing time in the majors.
From what I remember the food was quite good and there seemed to be a buffet that always had the same food but was always available if you were hungry. I believe there was always free fountain drinks as well. As mentioned before Disney is top notch so quality isn't really an issue here.
Yes. My friend works for a company that creates mascots for teams all over the country. Last season he created the Hank mascot that will be regularly seen in 2015. They already debuted it at Hank bobblehead day, but by MLB policy new mascots can only make one appearance if it is created during the season, that's why you didn't see it roaming around after that. Interesting, we saw him at that game and was wondering why the mascot didn't show up the rest of the year. Makes sense as I do recall the same thing happening to the Chorizo a number of years ago.
Went a couple of years ago with niece and nephew. Disney is top notch and treats you like a king. You do have to take kids into consideration if going as a couple as they are everywhere. However, there was an adult only pool, adult shows at night and a fancier dinner that costs a little more but didn't have kids.
Just write a business check to yourself and classify as a distribution, pretty simple actually. Your accountant should be able to give you an estimate what your taxable income will be, also I am assuming you have basis in your company.
Disagree, you can tell a lot in a few games. Just like it was obvious they would be horrible after a game or two last year it is obvious they are 8 seed material this year. They beat two teams from the east that they potentially will be better than and blew a big lead to another team competing for the 8 seed. It is very obvious they will be competing to the end for the 8 seed.
The Mike Heller show is good and Ted Davis is there so there is decent Bucks coverage. Also available in Madison and Milwaukee so that works for me since I am at both often.
It sure does look like the Bucks will be fighting for the 8 seed. This Bucks team can certainly compete with the Knicks, Celtics, Hornets, Pacers, Pistons, Magic and Sixers.
Anybody know what the deadline is to add minor leaguers to the 40 man, is it just a day before the rule 5 draft? It seems that the consensus is 4 or 5 guys could be added so there seems to be potential to have a couple guys removed if the Brewers pick up anybody else in free agency before the draft.
I also think having Ramirez around will help them decide what to do in 2016. Jimenez and/ or Rogers should get ample playing time with Lind and Ramirez on the roster. I was hoping Ramirez would decline but do think there are positives to having him around one last time.
With payroll so low right now in 2016 and beyond I wonder if a solid reliever like Miller or Duke would be interested in a multi year deal that is severely backloaded so that the payroll remains reasonable for 2015. It is all guaranteed anyway so maybe some players would bite at more years and money even if it means less right now.
Don't have a link yet but Ramirez has picked up his end of the option. I am okay with this and am glad there is no multi year deal involved. Hopefully Ramirez has one more good year in him. Edit: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/11/aramis-ramirez-exercises-option-to-remain-with-brewers.html
I think it would be a bad decision not to tender Parra, $7 million does not seem too much considering how much time Braun will likely take off plus he will play often for Davis and will replace him late in games. Even if they don't want him on the team next year I think they good get a decent asset in return for him at some point.
