  1. If the Badgers make the Final Four I would expect the prices to drop because the championship game is the same day.
  2. As an accountant I can appreciate the time value of money but also not a big fan of paying an expense for an asset that has already been disposed. Bonilla is an extreme example but deferred expenses can get you in trouble in the real world, especially if revenue starts going in the opposite direction.
  3. Why? Because our closer is making the same amount as out LOOGY? Even if he falters and Broxton or Henderson takes over closing responsibilities he is still an above average reliever on a cheap contract. No
  4. Cecchini has more value than Jimenez. I would prefer Jimenez never play for the Brewers even in a part time role but would love if Cecchini was starting next year. Jimenez is a few years older, strikes out a lot and doesn't get on base, shows occasional power. Cecchini bats left handed and gets on base with little to no power, very different players. The Brewers don't need another Jimenez, they need more guys like Cecchini.
  5. I came in a little late due to a meeting but was able to find a couple of obstructed seats in the terrace box section. Contrary to others I liked being able to search for my actual seat location, they say obstructed but I have sat in the same seats before and like them. There is just a rail next to me. Parking might have been an issue because there was no preferred left so you had to pick general.
  6. I do wonder where a guy like Knebel would be in the organization if he was drafted by the Brewers? Would he have made it to high A, AA?
  7. It really does seem like the Major League bobble has national appeal though as there are national writers talking about it and fans of other teams expressing interest in it. However, you still have to go to Miller Park to get the bobble so the only way people outside of Wisconsin will get it is if they buy on Ebay or another site so I think it will have value and maybe even increase from the current $50-60 once it is actually available.
  8. It is still terrace reserved, they just increased the price.
  9. I agree with you that they could have had the pick but it is highly likely MCW ends up better than that pick. Picks are overvalued by too many.
  10. BrewBalls, don't know how Ersan and Mayo get removed from the payroll next year so not too much room to sign a big free agent. Kind of surprised Ersan survived the trade deadline yet again.
  11. Don't really see the need to sign a 29 year old to a large contract when they already have Middleton. I think Middleton could get $10 million a year.
  12. They can be the one to tell my sons which one gets the bobble if it is only one per order.
  13. Yes, don't expect the actors that played the characters but the fans that do the costumes do a real good job and they look like the real thing.
  14. I encourage you to throw in the towel. Just get the ones you really want and ignore the rest.
  15. Bought tickets to the Indians game as I want the Uecker bobble that talks. Don't usually do a bobble on a weekday but makes sense with the Indians in town.
  16. Not really over stating next year, perhaps under stating this year. They will have a decent chance of still winning the big 10 next year but this year they are far and away the best team in the league and perhaps the team with the best chance to beat Kentucky in the tournament. This is probably the greatest team in my lifetime so obviously don't expect them to do the same next year.
  17. 40 man roster spots are still pretty valuable and the Brewers will have to make some tough choices the next couple of years. It is more giving Richardson his opportunity to show something versus rushing him. Move up or move out.
  18. Sthervin Matos as well, who just turned 21 today. As you said though, they both need to prove something in A ball. Demuth is a little old for his level.
  19. Not a big fan of getting rid of him. It is not like he was on the 40 man and there are a bunch of third base prospects he is blocking. He must have some issues the Brewers don't want to deal with anymore.
  20. They actually had two good months, 20-18 in March/April and 18-10 in June. The two bad months were real bad though. Depending on which 5/6 is used the first or last 5/6 then they were playing .537 ball the first 5/6. So the optimistic people can say the most telling argument to me is that they played .537 ball for 5/6th's of the year. Fortunately, I think the talent assembled is a .537 baseball team.
  21. Really starting to think the Peterson/Schafer loser gets removed from the 40 man. I don't think Schafer would get claimed, not sure if he has been outrighted before. Find it hard to believe somebody would pick up Hall if the Brewers sign/trade for another pitcher.
  22. Very true, it will enhance my game experience if my kids stay in their seat a little longer so I can watch the game. It is not as fun for me when I am watching the game on a tv while they race sausages or go down the miniature Bernie's slide.
  23. It kind of amazes me that Jimenez could play that bad for so long. You would think he would get hot at some point.
  24. I often times don't park in the Miller Park lots but if I stay for the whole game it is always much easier to get out of a Bucks game than it is to get out of a Brewers game. Taking out the tailgating option I would take parking at Bucks games every time over parking at Brewers games.
