    If Thornburg is really healthy I would like to see him compete with Nelson for the final rotation spot. Still think Thornburg could be better than Nelson.

    I don't think the union would support this as it would make a LOOGY less valuable.

    Yeah, to start the year they may want to hold on to as many assets as possible and therefore end up keeping the guys with no option in the majors (Jimenez and Gomez) and sending guys with options to the minors (Sardinas/Rogers/Clark). I think the last outfield spot is up for grabs between Schafer and Peterson but it is nice that they both have options so I truly think the best person will win that job.

    I'm guessing Brooks Hall is removed from the 40 man and clears waivers.

    Phili should bite the bullet. If they play games to limit his finishes he will block future trades anyway or make sure 2016 is guaranteed.

    In that little roundtable discussion at RAW this week Shawn Michaels mentioned the winner will main event WrestleMania but did not mention the title so I am wondering if the WWE makes things interesting and has the winner headline one of the main events but maybe not for the title. I think in the past it could have worked with Undertaker and his opponent. Opens up the possibilities a little bit more. Even now I think Bray vs. Undertaker could be interesting.

    I can't stand K-Rod and hate that he is a Brewers year after year so I would pick anybody over him to be quite honest.

    Strong, as he is on the 40 man and a reliever. Although looking at this splits lefties have done better than righties the last couple of years. They must be somewhat high on Martin as well since they traded for him.

    I would rather have Papelbon than Wooten or Blazek so I guess wouldn't hate the move but think they can do better on the free agent market and not give up a prospect in the process.

    I also would rather have Sardinas start in AAA to give Gomez a shot and let Sardinas develop more. Like you said, if Gomez is a total fail then they can go ahead and DFA him and bring up Sardinas. I doubt Sardinas comes in and sets the world on fire though as he had his typical low OBP and no power batting line in winter ball and Segura is doing okay hovering around 300.

    Has not been in the majors since 2011. Nothing in his independent or minor league numbers from 2012-2014 suggest he should be with the Brewers during 2015.

    Likely worse but there is a decent chance Nelson is better and that the bullpen is better now. Wouldn't say obvious. Having a solid shortstop that can be called up is also a nice option to have. I really don't think Sardinas would perform worse offensively than Segura did last year and he would be an upgrade defensively, even though Segura is solid there.

    Pena was removed from the 40 man so he is Brewers property and doesn't have to be optioned. Blazek has one option left.

    That may be his strong side but it is pretty weak for a platoon.

    Aoki's decline with his defense can't be understated. He is not a good backup CF option. Parra is in his prime years only slightly older than Davis, while Aoki will continue to decline offensively and defensively.

    Out of the best pictures I have only seen Boyhood and liked it. Since it also has the Brewers in it I'll predict they are the big winner at the Oscars.

    I was thinking about this some more and the subject to availability still scares me. However, if I can purchase 3 more tickets at face value for the World Series maybe it isn't such a bad deal. Certainly a lot better than buying season tickets every year with the hope that they will make the World Series. I would like the Brewers to verify where the timeless ticket holder is on the priority list. Is it behind full season ticket holder, half season, 20 packs, 10 packs, the lottery? Also, if there is a diamond box seat available does that mean I get it or am I just getting the worst available seat? Same thing with the nine regular season tickets they are now giving, where will the seats be located?

    Agree with you on Jimenez, pretty sure he will be my least favorite Brewer this year if he makes the team and for whatever reason they seem way too high on him.

    I think Segura is still better than Drew both offensively and defensively. If Segura improves offensively this year he can still potentially be a strong trade chip or answer at third base. They are proceeding correctly with him.

    Agree, counting on Thornburg or Henderson is a mistake just as counting on Gorz last year was as well. Hopefully the Brewers are thinking this way and they are not short handed in the bullpen come opening day. I would think not since they acquired Duke last year to cover Gorz but you never know.

    If Hoffman gets elected he would also get inducted to the new Brewers Wall of Honor.

    I really think the worst of the clogging of the ballot is over. Johnson, Martinez, Smoltz, Biggio and Mattingly are all gone from the 2016 ballot so that frees up guys like Piazza, Raines, Bagwell and even Schilling/Mussina to make a move as there isn't much starting pitching in the foreseeable future. Trammell will be removed after next year plus Piazza after he gets elected so that should help even more. I really don't think any deserving guys will fall off sooner than they should as there should be room on the ballot to keep them on.

    Still don't think Piazza gets in. There are still too many voters that don't reveal their vote and lump Piazza in the steroid category without any real evidence.
