I know you like to non tender guys but in reality not likely going to happen. They tendered Hunter Renfroe and traded him. If the Brewers don't want to pay Vaughn they will tender and trade him.

Obviously great game from Mitchell, so many people have doubted him even saying he would be non tendered. Good on the Brewers sticking with him and ignoring all the noise.

Coming into the season Ashby had 11 career wins, which started in 2021. He has doubled his career win total a little over halfway through the season.

The Brewers won't take on long term contracts, don't see that ever happening.

The Brewers gave a journeyman 30 year old the strong side platoon this past season and they need somebody next season so wouldn't count out Black yet.
  6. Outlander
He has had a great June, by far his best month in his career.

I imagine Chourio plays long enough to get HOF stats and his best years will be as a Brewer so not Yount level but go in as a Brewer.

Really miss DL Hall, at least he could pitch the final three innings when leading by a few runs. The Brewers must really dislike what they have seen of Koenig with the filler relief pitchers the Brewers have had lately, now they have to call him up against the Cubs. Back to Nashville for Yoho

More like they want his stats to look good and convince somebody in the off season he is more than a platoon bat when they trade him.

There may be some that think that Sproat doesn't amount to anything but I don't think that is the majority. In my opinion he has performed the worst out of Gasser/Drohan/Sproat. I'm all for a six man rotation but Murphy said it is going to 5 and even after last night I would have Sproat as the odd man out for now. It is time to see what we have in Gasser.
  11. Outlander
If Murphy is really being honest about a 5 man rotation I wonder if Sproat gets optioned after the game as I would thinkg Koenig's rehab assignment is nearing an end.

Tigers have played well in June, including sweeps of the Rays and White Sox. They are hanging around now in a weak division so think it will be last minute if they trade him.
  13. Outlander
Absolutely, with no challenges he can't be stuck holding his bat with the bases called out on strikes.
  14. Outlander
Probably but was too close and don't blame him for that.

Vaughn in a big spot against RHP, we have all been waiting for this. Time to deliver.

Probably won't be another chance for Contreras to face a lefty where he can tie the game. Golden opportunity there.

I remember three years ago when Frelick played his first major league game and it probably was one of the better debuts in Brewers history, generated a ton of buzz. Now Akil Baddoo is preferred over him, quite the downfall.

It makes sense, it would give them a great shot at winning a World Series with three top line starters. You may not want to do that and the Brewers most likely won't either but teams have done it before and will do it again. A 30 year old with a future injury possible in the future isn't much of a concern with a rental. That is the next team's issue.

The Phillies had no chance today, a punt of a game if there ever was one.
  20. Outlander
Sure, fine. A crap left handed pitcher or right handed pitcher, why not both say the Phillies.

On paper the Brewers caught a break getting both Painter and Nola(good luck on that contract) and they need to take advantage of that before facing Sanchez. For a team that the Brewers hardly face they sure are an annoying fanbase. Hopefully Miz can shut them down and shut them up for a bit.

Not really concerned about Mitchell getting more expensive in arbitration years, more that he is running out of team control. History suggests he is traded after the 2027 off season at the latest so really not too out there to consider a trade after the 2026 season.

Yeah, I don't know why a He-Man movie needs to be nearly 2.5 hours. Good but not a lot of young people unless they brought their kids like I did. mid teens to twenties were non existent.

Was really hoping for a Perkins/Perkins matchup to see who would prevail, oh well.

Saw Master of the Universe, the type of movie I wish came out in the late 1980's instead of what we got back then. However, don't see any resurgence happening or a sequel as lots of nostalgia there. It was always a toy line that had a cartoon just to help sell more toys.
