  1. Do any of the analytics sites rate 3rd base coaches? I would think someone would have developed a metric by now.
  2. That's awesome! Congrats!
  3. And one more win.... Record is what it is. Probably worse than expected so be happy they are top five and not top ten. Be upset we didn't get a better pick. No. Life is too short.

  5. I'd rather they test the waters with a AAA team in Mexico City first. Montreal actually has a rich baseball history going back to the 40's. Jackie Robinson played minor league ball there. I think they'd support a team if they got a new stadium. Same argument about support could have been lobbied against a number of franchises in the 80's and 90's - Milwaukee, Seattle, Cleveland to name a few.
  6. I guess it's exciting but so would ending the season with the last day meaning something. I mean that Cubs/Pitt series a few weeks ago would have been HUGE. One game to advance is just dumb luck. Having said that I hope the Pirate clown stomp Arrieta.
  7. I have never liked the one game playoff.
  8. Agreed. Baseball drafts are so unpredictable. Getting a pick in the top five is pretty much just like getting the top pick talent wise. If you want to say we lost money over the draft position so be it but I don't think that's going to mean much at the end of the day. I mean they traded away some of their best players mid season and played basically a AAA lineup most nights. Can't really harp on them for winning with those guys.
  9. Top five is fine. No reason to be upset at all. If they had won one more game they'd have passed Oakland.
  10. They finished 8 and 19.
  11. Is that stuff available on the internet? If so you could maybe use your phone to supplement the PA announcer. If it's not readily available, the Brewers could maybe have some interactive deal at the stadium where you can use a tablet or something to get that info in real time.
  12. The court looks great.
  13. What a difference a couple of months makes. OPS is now at .830 overall and .869 in the second half. I think you hang on to him for another year and flip him in July if need be.
  14. I deleted the off topic stuff. If you have a problem with a particular post or poster it's probably best to alert a moderator. Confronting them in a thread is not going to solve matters.
  15. Is he the executive to be named later in the Gomez/Fiers deal?
  16. 5IP, 10Ks 2BB for Hader. Phillips with a dinger. Looking forward to seeing him play a full, healthy season next year. Don't think we really saw his full potential with that injury post-trade.
  17. They're the ones that can't afford Wrigley.
  18. Hey guys let's discuss race as it pertains to the topic at hand, not as a subject in and of itself. Thanks.
  19. Stewart has never seen Tyrone Brooks apparently.
  20. If Fielder is 5'7" then Jose Altuve is 3 feet tall. Here's something interesting: Adam Lind, 31 years old, 856 OPS, $7,500,000 Prince Fielder, 31 years old, 836 OPS, $24,000,000 Sorry - off topic but I didn't know Lind and Fielder were the same age until today.
  21. Kantrovitz was responsible for two drafts in STL. http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com/team/draft.jsp?c_id=stl&year=2012 http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com/team/draft.jsp?c_id=stl&year=2013
  22. Kinda weird to see an umpire quoted in a story. Don't see that anymore do you?
  23. If the Brewers were just playing out the string with a bunch of old vets I wouldn't care. But they are playing young guys with bright futures in some cases. I want to see them do well.
