  1. Workload didn't affect David Price too much....until this year I guess.
  2. I saw a tweet that they are working on a sign and trade with Reddick. No mention of who they might get in return.
  3. That would be sweet. But RRR would probably bench him the last few games of the year so he didn't break it....like Lopes did with Jose Hernandez when he was on pace to break the strikeout record.
  4. That's how I feel about it. I'm sure others will disagree but I don't think the mental switch from starter to reliever is that big. It's really a matter of getting used to throwing out of the stretch more often.
  5. Imagine Dragons from the skyglider: http://instagram.com/p/bKxl7DCo6B/
  6. http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=thornb001tyl&type=pgl&year=2013 Scroll down for June splits.
  7. Well that's fine but in terms of the pick itself I think it was a good one.
  8. Bucks took best player available (in their eyes) which is what they should be doing. I like their draft.
  9. Well actually it could have come at a better time, like when the Brewers still were in contention or against the Reds who he's hitting .154 against or the Cards who he's hitting .114 against. This now is simply window dressing. I'd be willing to be that if he hit in April like he is doing now and hit now like he did in April the Brewers would have the exact same record (assuming everyone else hit /pitched the same).
  10. I think the larger point about Lucroy is how hard it is to find good catching. He's arguably top ten at his position and comes at a fair price. Not to mention there's nothing in the minors outside of Coulter and he might not be a catcher in three years.
  11. That was unreal. Bruins probably feel about the same as the Leafs did.
  12. Nick Ramirez struck out for the 100th time this season...he also hit his 16th HR. I wished he walked more. He could be 3TO material.
  13. Americans that use the word "bloody" as in "That was bloody well worth it!"
  14. Tell that to the fans. I'm sure it's gotten loud at a Marlins game a time or two as well. I've actually been to a game in Nashville. It's a nice arena.
  15. Hockey does not belong south of the Mason Dixon line. I live in Chicago and cheer for the Blackhawks. I used to feel the same way you did, but without a natural hockey rival I really don't see the big deal. People in Chicago don't hate people from Wisconsin - they hate Packer fans, but they don't hate Wisconsinites.
  16. Looking forward to seeing Jose Pena again this summer. I hope he can get the bump to Appleton at some point.
  17. Well Taylor has a double, single, and a walk so I'm satisfied for today. If I was uncouth I would say I have a bigger crush on him than Liberace had for Scott Thorson. But I am couth so I won't say that.
  18. Anyone know where his condo/apartment is? I couldn't place it. I assume it's east side, downtown.
  19. A) excellent use of the term "fusillade" 2) Free Garrett Cooper
  20. I wonder what kind of records the guy keeps? If he records when people take their stuff back without getting the work done he would have to show that. Since he doesn't have anything that says you took it back (or if he does it's fraudulent) and you have proof you dropped it off, he is going to be on the short end of the "his story vs. your story" argument. I think you have most of the proof on your side in the way of emails and phone records primarily since he claimed that he was going to have it ready numerous times and then changed his story all of a sudden. Like Louis Ely said, if the item is not worth a king's ransom then small claims court might be the way to go. I still think consulting with an attorney is a wise course of action if you can get free advice.
  21. I think we can all agree that Yuni fell off a cliff.
