He has been bashed quite a bit around here for "making up" trade rumors. But I think he just reports what he hears. There are probably 50 proposed trade rumors for every 1 that actually goes down. Sure GMs probably use him knowing he'll spill beans but he's not the only guy in the media used that way. I like him - always have.

I'll be going but my brother lives in Back Bay so I'm staying with him. Should be a good time. I think there will be a large Brew Crew contingent there.

I was in Boston for work last summer and bought tix off Craig's List for about 10% above face. Granted, it was a mid week game. Just throwing that out there in case the online thing doesn't work out.

Even if people save the money it still helps the economy. The only way it won't is if they cash the check and keep it under their mattress. Frankly, I'd rather they pay down debt instead of doing this.

I watched Lucky Number Slevin over the weekend and it was a good rental. I wouldn't say it's one of the best of the year or anything but a decent choice for a night at home with popcorn. It seemed like the filmmakers were going for a hybrid between Snatch and The Usual Suspects but could not equal the style of the former and the intelligence of the latter. I had guessed most of the ending 'ah ha!' moments about midway through the picture but was still surprised by a few turn of events.

Guess I didn't think to question the street name's origins. So does this mean that 81st street is named after Bob 81st?
