The biggest reveals happen in the last minute and i was ticked that i missed it. " Yeah, he called her from the boat and she answered. The Faraday looked through his notebook and saw that he had written "If anything happens, use Desmond as your constant".

    Having lived in the PHX area for four years I concur with phxMILWfan on the location of retirement communities. Sun City is traditionally one of the biggest ones and that's on the far northwest side of town. I moved away about five years ago, but even then people would ask "Isn't Phoenix filled with old people?". No it's not. It's one of the fastest growing cities in the US with a growing nucleus of young people - I think Scottsdale opened about 10 bars and nightclubs in the time I lived there. And the Maryvale neighborhood gets a bad rap, but it's not all that awful. It's not like you have to worry about your safety walking from your car to the game, or getting carjacked or anything. It's a little rundown and largely latino so maybe there's more perceived badness than reality can justify. It is not the worst neighborhood in Phoenix by any means. I think part of the drawback for attendance is there's nothing else to do around the ballpark. San Francisco is right in Old Town Scottsdale, The Mariners/Padres complex is next to a huge shopping area, Oakland is very close to downtown Tempe (although that stadium has probably seen it's better days), The Angels complex is very close to I-10, etc. The Cubs complex isn't really near anything but it's the Cubs and they'll draw anywhere. When I lived in PHX, I always meant to go to 8 - 10 games and was lucky to see 1 - 2 - it just wasn't convenient for me.

It takes place in the many bars of varying atmosphere that surround the ball park.Take the time to enjoy the experience if you come" I'm not complaining about the atmosphere around Wrigley - I happen to love it - but it most certainly is not tailgating.

    I really don't think the Brewers will (or should) consider Wisconsinite's travel plans when deciding which state to train in. The attendance numbers won't increase/decrease dramatically either way.

    re: Parra's innings Two things: 1) I'd like to see his innings controlled so he can be as strong in August as he is in May. He's never been stretched out over a whole season and fatigue may factor in. 2) I'd rather his innings be controlled in the minors so the Brewers aren't forced to use up more bullpen innings early in the year.

    I recommend not even clicking on the link in case they glean some kind of revenue from click throughs or something like that. If you don't like Milwaukee, and if you're trying to be funny that's fine....but if you don't like Milwaukee and aren't trying to be funny then try to at least get the facts right.

    The one thing that sticks out to me is injury risk with your starters. Harang has been abused the last few years, Kazmir had some elbow tightness this spring (not to mention he's thrown his share of innings at a young age) and there are questions about Bedard's mechanics over the long haul (and that he's spent time on the DL every year). Definitely a high risk/high reward rotation because all three of those guys are going to put up great numbers if healthy.

    Whizkid, I received a framed color poster of that logo when we won the coveted 1991 intramurals basketball championship. It hangs in my parents rec room. Aside: Holy cow, the governor of Illinois just walked into the coffee shop I'm in. Aside 2: Geez, now the head writer from Conan O'Brien just walked in. It's like Chicago B celebrity fest in this place.

    I still don't understand the whole "renewal" vs. "re-sign" deal. Anyone got any insight? How could the Brewers have given Fielder more money in '08 without signing an extension? Should Prince be more upset with the collective bargaining agreement than with the Brewers?
