  1. i hope people of Milwaukee rally behind these owners and team....Fools on the media are trying to generate steam against the owners for ratings....guys like Paul Henning of Save Our Bucks and realgm.com are holding up the beacon for intelligent Buck fans. Henning just did an interview on Bill Michael's show and was extremely knowledgeable and forthright...Realgm is not perfect by any means(I cannot even post on there currently because I responded to an insult from a favorite Australian poster on the site), but it definitely has some people that care deeply about the Bucks.
  2. that Parker/McDaniels/Dinwiddie draft would have made me very happy.......
  3. that Parker/McDaniels/Dinwiddie draft would have made me very happy.......
  4. with the 48th pick being swapped for a 2nd next year, the Bucks now have 4 2nd round picks in the 2015 draft
  5. the season that Shawn Zarraga is having in AA is just silly....no power but a 31/12 w/k ratio and batting .388 http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?pos=C&sid=t559&t=p_pbp&pid=519452
  6. O n a different note, my thoughts on the draft....love the Gatewood selection - i think he has superstar potential, and have no idea why he was not selected earlier - it really makes no sense. Gatewood has off the charts makeup from what I have gleaned, as well. Madeiros is a guy that has a truly unique skillset....that slider just doesn't fit with physics...love him, but hope he grows a bit more, at just turned 18, that may happen. Monte is a wild card for me as he reminds me of many failed players with a similar background - first and foremost Mitchell from the White Sox org.....I love the pick but have less faith in him than the first two picks.....the 6th rounder has upside and DeMuth is going to play in the big leagues some day......
  7. thunder, why on earth would you think he was being sarcastic? I think everybody that peruses this forum was very much interested in what you posted, and TLC is a pretty mellow dude.... I am a 4th grade teacher and gave a lesson last week to my class on accepting compliments....we all need that lesson sometimes......
  8. Jabari Parker is looking unreal in the ACC champ game..... he is my pick too.....but he will be a 76'er methinks
  9. One guy who is starting to really pick up steam for me is Mitch Haniger. Not reallt an under the radar guy but perhaps his potential future impact has been underplayed a little bit. He had a very nice game yesterday as well as a steal, and may have gotten an opening to a higher level than anticipated
  10. I will cap it off by taking the the Dykstras and Schraldis
  11. Did you see Her? Best movie in my opinion for the year by a fair piece
  12. Tommy John for the 20 year old 3rd base stud. He had a .915 OPS in AA last year even though he had a .236 batting average....he could have been a Puig this year. I would have loved to see him come up with Buxton this year.
  13. http://www.basketballinsiders.com/video-o-j-mayo-ties-his-shoe-instead-of-playing-defense/ Unbleeping real.......OJ Mayo going full Idon'tgiveacrap
  14. Not a top prospects list, just a list of guys (focusing heavily on 2013 draftees) that I think/hope have a bit of a bubble: 1. Hobbs Johnson - a 21-20-4-2-4-32 line between Helena and Wisconsin showed a bit of what this 14th round North Carolina product can do. A lefty with poise and command, he was beloved down here in NC. Will be 23 in April, I see BC in 14 at some point. 2. Josh Uhen - Born in Oshkosh, Uhen got better for Arizona as season went long, ending with an 11 baserunner in 13 inning stretch....the 5th round pick is raw, but would love to see his live arm in Wisconsin as some point in 14 3. Omar Garcia - Batted .345 over last 150 at bats for Helena, Garcia had 28 steals and a .462 obp when runners were on base.....he will be 20 till August and I would love to see him start 14 in Wisconsin outfield. 4. Brandon Diaz - Had a .949 OPS in the final month of August, and showed some serious pop for an 18 year old, albeit in Arizona....Expect to see him in Helena, but would love to see him show out in Arizona and pop onto Wisconsin roster 5. Tyler Alexander - the 27th round pick showed well in Helena, striking out 27 in 15 2/3 innings, giving up 7 his and 3 walks...lefties had a .071 obp against him in 14 at bats....the w/k ratio will be something to watch as the slight lefty should see some Wisconsin time 6. Ryan Deeter - the UCLA grad gave up nothing in the form of runs in 11 innings and 9 baserunners....will be in Helena I would think, but the late signer could impress and land in Wisconsin, as he has solid stuff 7. David Denson - This huge 18 year old (not 19 till November) has the documented power....expect him in Helena, would love to see him mash Pioneer league pitching 8. Andy Hillis - the tall righty had a .44 ERA in 18 appearances, and gave up little in the form of hits but had control issues in Helena....a dominant showing in Wisconsin as a closer would really make him an interesting guy to follow 9. Taylor Brennan - the 2012 pick (wow, what a rough draft in retrospect) has serious power and made huge leap in 2013, raising ops from 651 to 873 while moving up a level...he has weird splits and had a huge Ops well over 1 in August. He will be fascinating to watch in Wisconsin 10. Victor Roache, Clint Coulter, Tyrone Taylor - unlike most others on this list, this trio is much heralded and will be the make or break for a 2012 class that has had its depth stripped already....Coulter in Wisconsin will be great to keep tabs on especially Would love to see other lists of guys perhaps more under the radar that others are intrigued by
  15. Give me a break.....that area got there yearly average in one day....obviously they do not have the equipment for it....how do you think Milwaukee would do with 55 inches?
  16. Also, Charlotte does not have their own 1st this year - that goes to Chicago from the Tyrus Thomas trade if the Bobnets(Horcats?) stay in their current position....they do have the Blazers pick and as of right now, the Pistons pick, though that could change as late as the lottery
  17. Hearing completely unsubstantiated (to be clear - I think they are false and just speculation) rumblings of Kyrie Irving for our unprotected #1 for 2014........really not sure how I would feel about this I do see a risk that Embiid/and our Parker do not come out, we get the 4 pick in the draft, and we end up with Smart, who I just do not see as a point. Is Irving a head case that would not fit well with Giannis - who I think could blossom into Magic Johnson with proper coaching and a little vision. Edit: just for the heck of it i gave the espn trade machine 100 chances to simulate the lottery.....Bucks picked 4th 40 times, 1st 33 times, 2nd 15 times and 3rd 12 times
  18. Wow, actual depth to analysis and insight instead of mindless blurbs.....Sickels is no more optimistic that KLAW unfortunately and states bluntly that something needs to change, which I agree with.
  19. I dare anyone to dig into Law's archives and find more than a handful of things he has been accurate about in the last several years....the guy is the biggest fraud in sportswriting, and that is saying a mouthful
  20. I agree with Tiger Beat regarded Gallardo, but the pictures of him this past week indicate he has lost some serious weight....he looks like he is in pretty decent shape.
  21. LePay is great news....Anderson is going to be gone alot methinks...his national role is only going to expand Also, can I just say how much I love Mark A? It would have been easy to go into a financial shell after the attendance has dropped but he has allowed us to be aggressive.
  22. Just was wondering what this team would have looked like if we had gotten Teague (a better offer may have grabbed him). Would we have done the same Jennings deal and played Knight as a swing guard, which I think is a much better role for him. With 40 odd games left what will the team allow Giannis to do? He needs the ball in his hands more and is being stymied. I also would love to know if the Cavs have an interested in Ilyasova or the like in a deal for Anthony Bennett.
  23. The Bucks luck is back on attack again....Alex Kennedy is reporting that league execs believe Parker will come back to Duke for another year, and that Embiid likely will as well, as Embiid feels he needs another year to get acclimated to the NBA since he just moved to US two years ago and doesn't have driver's license yet
  24. That hands picture is insane....the smaller hand is from a female reporter for Raptors....for older Bucks fans, just read an interesting rundown of how Don Nelson was an egomaniac, forcing a trade for Dave Cowans, who was a friend that had retired, for Quinn Buckner, and really set the franchise back.....Wayne Embry was the best Bucks GM of all-time My dream scenario by the way...Bucks get 1 overall pick, trade it to 76ers for the 3 and 10 overall, draft Parker with the 3 overall, then trade Sanders and the 10 overall for the 6 overall and get Marcus Smart and filler
  25. Dr. Wascher, the guy that heads up this group, recently built an 8 million dollar house.....any idea what 8 mildo gets you in Appleton freakin' Wisconsin? This was basically an ego-drop for him.
