  1. Gomez and Cotts for Kepler, Kohl Stewart and Alex Meyer is my guess on what could occur if the two teams go big on a deal
  2. a first hand observation from pogokat - it does not get better than that.....I know he has always been listed as extremely skinny and it appears on video he has filled out a little bit....wondering if he could continue to fill out and increase velocity a bit
  3. I understand this would be a surprising question, but looking at the season Lopez has put together, i think the question needs to be raised. AA ball - 70 innings/1.16 WHIP/2.80ERA.8.5 k's per 9....over last 27 innings - 3 runs for a 1.00 ERA/22 baserunners It has been a process since he was drafted, but he does not turn 23 till 2016....I think he is in our rotation next year.
  4. realgm folks thinking that Robin Lopez is who we are after at a pretty hefty price.....so not worth it - Robin Lopez is a very mediocre player that disappears in the big moments
  5. I am a fan of Arroyo but he is not in the class of Arcia...Giants are not a great partner for us honestly
  6. I dare anyone to read this SI piece on Mudiay and not hope that we can somehow get up to 6 to draft him as our point of the future http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/13135005/top-guard-emmanuel-mudiay-quietly-climbed-draft-charts-playing-china
  7. Hearing Rashad Vaughn has a good chance to be the pick tomorrow - very young SG from UNLV...if that is the case, I see Tyson Chandler being a Buck...it seems odd, but the fact that Jeff Schwartz is the agent for MCW, Bayless, Kidd, Vaughn, and Chandler may tie this together somehow.....
  8. Just want to give props to the parents of Locke St. John - the Lakeland pitcher with the most "Lost-ian" meta name I have ever seen Edit: I was really hoping the Smoke Monster would come on for the save
  9. it is hard to respect someone that spells schmuck smuck...get your Yiddish straight people. Hernan Perez is very well regarded defensively around baseball and while his o has been abysmal so far, someone whose opinion I value was very very upset his Tigers team lost him...the guy has worth
  10. this is a very good thought....
  11. Preferred name of the Biloxi mayor = FoFo Length of the first home game in Biloxi = 4:44 I smell a conspiracy
  12. Brewers need to be proactive....Steven Matz may already be pitching himself out of "get-ability" for the Brewers.....Melvin's greatest flaw has always been his lack of creativity
  13. awesome write-up by the spindly one.....Florida Tech is where it's at
  14. And the strohs have tons of hitting to target...i love Brett Phillips as main guy to acquire but alos love tiny 2B Kemp
  15. I am predicting a trade of Gomez and Will smith to the Mets will happen this week....my guess on return currently is Molina, Matz and Legares
  16. I am salivating at the idea that D'andre Jordan may be available this offseason....he would be amazing with the Bucks...a better, saner Sanders
  17. I am a big believer in WHIP being an indicator of future success and Kaprielian of UCLA looks to me to be a much better pick than Funkhouser from a stat based perspective....would love to hear from Colby or others regarding any first hand accounts.....
  18. Arroyo is a top 100 prospect according to fangraphs, Susac is very good, and Mella throws very fast...that is not a bad haul; at all
  19. if you do some research on Singleton you will see we do not want any part of him.....has a very rough substance abuse history
  20. Also want to give Cy Sneed his props...we need some of these 3rd/4th round pitchers to pan out - i think Sneed has that ability
  21. FREE AUSTIN ROSS Seriously, another 2 inning stint with 5 k's in Biloxi. The guy will be 27 this summer as his injuries have set him back...he comes from a high pressure program in LSU - he can handle the jump to the majors from AA
  22. wow, Jorge Lopez looks so much bigger now than when drafted.....can see where his added velocity has come from
  23. Hey, there are a lot of MCW haters, but I think if you do not see what he brings to the team versus Knight, the vision, the defense....sorry but I disagree with what you are seeing on the court...MCW's defense is insane at times. When we get Jimmy Butler on this roster next year his playmaking ability is going to be more realized - he just does not have the weapons that can show off his skills...personally, I thought Knight was extremely over-rated defensively...a guy like Kemba Walker regularly torched Knight... the number one thing that MCW needs to improve upon, even more than his outside shot is between the ears, and I think he will....the dumb mistakes he made at end of game three are all mental fatigue related - he needs to get tougher - and with Kidd there, I think he will MCW is always going to be a divisive player I think, but I think he can be an all-star and a guy that you can win multiple playoff rounds with...he is not there yet, but I think he will get there, and in my estimation, Knight will never be that kind of player
  24. Devers? no way Garza gets that kind of top 50ish haul.......though I will say I drove the 90 minutes to Greenville to see Devers, etc. play last Friday and there was a scout with a Brewers lanyard radaring the pitchers of the Red Sox and jotting notes on batters....I do think we are scouting that Greenville team
  25. Anybody that prefers knight to MCW on this team is someone that I will always look down upon in terms of their basketball acumen
