I can't believe we had gone almost 2 years without a 90 degree day.

It wasn't too long ago that the Bucks were freeing up salary cap space. What did they do with it? Overpay for garbage like Simmons and Gadz. I don't know what the Bucks are better at: screwing up drafts or overpaying the wrong players.

Yeah, the Brewers really need to take a good look at their training and medical staff from top to bottom. This has been way too common throughout the organization.

Can't be anything compared to the County Stadium flooding of 1988 (I think that was the year). The paper showed the entire field under a few feet of water and outfield padding floating in the water.

Don't the Brewers have the best home record in baseball over the last 4+ years? (or at least the best in the NL). If anything, it would appear that the stadium quirks have helped the home field advantage.

My only tip is the avoid the "brat" at the stadium. No idea what it was, but it certainly was NOT a brat.

Has Iribarren ever played 3B? I can't recall him ever playing there.

I believe it happened in the first half of 2007. Brewers were in first place. Nashville was in first the whole year. Everyone else except Arizona won the first half titles.

It hasn't been this fun to watch a closer come in and slam the door since Rollie.

Macha did say in the article that he'd rather pick his spots, like in late game situation, instead of just running all the time.

It also seems that the rest of the bullpen really settled down once Hoffman joined the team. With Hoffman nailing down the 9th, Macha can use the others based on matchups.

Link This is exactly what a lot of people here have said in the past. And really not much reason to run with so many big hitters in the heart of the lineup. I'm really liking Macha and how he's not afraid to make adjustments.

When I was growing up near Missoula, Montana, I remember going out hunting for mushrooms in our wooded property. That picture is exactly what I remembered. So at least now I know what they were. We never did it after we moved to Wisconsin, though.

Yes, he did walk some in the minors, 40-50 walks in 500 AB seasons. So it's not like he never took walks. -

We all make joes, but I certainly wouldn't give it up for anything. I will never forget the first time seeing my son when he was born. He was crying of course, but as soon as I held him and he heard my voice, he calmed down. Nothing like it in the world.

Yeah, you could see the writing on the wall weeks ago, when Macha said that a sub has to be able to stay healthy.

I like the ALDI method. When they open a second lane, they say "I'll take the next person in line". And man, those ALDI's cashiers are blazing fast.
