  1. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/elgton-jenkins?id=32194a45-4e11-7507-3601-9c3adcefa1c1 Hard to argue with an OL who can play just about anywhere on the line.
  2. If GB wanted to get back that 4th round pick, they could slide back (if they don't like Metcalf) 5-10 spots and probably pick the same tier of player.
  3. Lots of intrigue in the next 5 picks, with Ford and Risner still on the board...along with Metcalf, Campbell, Brown and Irv Smith Jr. if you want a pass catching option here (at #44). EDIT: Ford gone at #38 Risner gone at #41
  4. Gary and Savage weren't exactly the names I had been hoping for, but they're Packers now. I don't mind giving up a pair of 4th rounders to move up...just not sure you had to move up that far.
  5. Taylor's still on the board...isn't he?
  6. Pack just traded into Pick 21
  7. https://packerswire.usatoday.com/2019/04/25/report-packers-attempting-to-trade-up-from-no-30-in-first-round/ Let the rumor mill churn; this sounds like a FANTastic opportunity, assuming they go OL or Edge with the 12th pick.
  8. ...sorry, couldn't help but say it. GoT is the reason that I can't consider Killing Eve to be appointment television. While it's getting the DVR treatment for the next few weeks, it's quite the interesting show. Jodie Comer deserves all of the awards.
  9. Voted Williams, since I think T.J. Hackeysack (and Devin White) will be off the board at 12. Wouldn’t be surprised if they go for an edge rusher, but I’d rather see them get a versatile option for protecting #12 at 12.
  10. Jonescm, the article linked on the Brewers' website says the truck won't be at Miller Park until May 5th, so no luck this weekend. (I was wondering the same thing, FWIW.) Josh, any word on where the truck will be setting up when it does come to Miller Park? I may have to try it out sometime.
  11. Barnes actually got off to better starts in 2018 and 2017 than he did this year. Then he had dumpster fire Junes in both years (6.75 and 7.20 ERAs, respectively. http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/splits/_/id/34868) A single Barnes-ian blow-up regresses those statistics to the mean; while I'm happy when he delivers a scoreless inning, the last thing I want is for him to pitch in high-leverage situations...because signs of improvement are fleeting.
  12. We're in smokescreen season, and GB leaking that they are hosting a 1st round QB in a year they have 2 first round picks (but don't have an immediate need for a QB) is every bit in-keeping with this time of year. My time to read up on prospects is rather limited, but there are quite a few G/T options who could potentially start inside for a year, and slide over to RT when Bulaga is a Free Agent (or injured). At #12, the Packers could have their pick of all the O-Linemen in the draft...which usually doesn't happen. I'd like to see them get a lineman, receiving option (TE preferred...but I doubt Fant is going to last to 30), and a defensive starter (LB or safety) with their first 3 picks.
  13. Shocked they would both transfer the day after Howard declares he is coming back...that's not a good look for the school, the players, nor for the Coach. Especially surprised they would be willing to sit out a year in order to do so. (Given my college basketball bias, I'll avoid any discussion on their destination.)
  14. It's too bad he's going to miss this season, given the expectations / aspirations of anyone reading this, but having the surgery now is better than waiting a few months and still having to have the surgery (which is the timetable I was worried about).
  15. Had a gut-sinking feeling watching Chacin give up the 3-run inning, but thrilled to watch the team rally back & hang on to the win. Worried about Hader racking up multiple inning saves (while JJ is on the shelf), but it’s too early to call anything a trend. Also, Yelich & Moose are on pace to hit 162 HRs each, which I’m pretty sure would be a record. (...just to make the recurring Opening Day joke.) Happy to have Baseball back.
  16. IMO, you can't have it both ways. If Gard was the point man for recruiting under Bo, then he has to bear some responsibility for the stagnant PG recruiting that would lead to prioritizing D'Mitrik Trice over Sam Hauser (while leaving out that the 2016 recruiting class also did include a forward in Aleem Ford).
  17. Remember when Trice was shooting 60% from 3 this season? ...neither does he. Disappointed for Happ, KI, and Thomas that the backcourt let them down in the last few weeks.
  18. He looked darn impressive today. Would he be worth taking at #30 if he lasts that long? Or Smith? Hockenson? This looks like a decent TE class this year. I've expected Fant to be a 1st round pick for quite some time now. For all the love Hockenson gets as a blocker, Fant is the guy who stood out to me while watching Badgers - Hawkeyes games. (Though as I look at it, Hockenson had 125 yards on 3 receptions - with a long of 46, so even his shortest catch went for over 30 - while Fant had 2 TDs on 3 catches in 2018. Neither did much of anything in prior seasons against the Badgers.) With the Patriots having a potential need for a receiving TE when/if Gronk retires, I just don't see Fant falling outside the 1st round. If he's on the board at 30, it's going to make the case for an OL or Edge rusher (whichever we don't get at 12) that much tougher.
  19. HAX2N0 - in honor of Chuck Carr...it's really the only sensible option.
  20. Reports say there is video evidence of Kraft engaged in the acts. It would be a real shame if that video made its way to TMZ or a porn site. Just Kidding. It would be awesome! Is it really solicitation if he only told the massage technician to "Do your job?"
  21. He wasn't terrible tonight. Single-handedly responsible for the win. He and Pritzl. Who would have bet on Pritzl having a double-digit rebound night? Granted, I'd like to see his rebound numbers go down due to the team hitting more shots (especially from 3, where the guys have a collective crisis of confidence), but in this conference, I'll take an ugly win over the alternative.
  22. With the buyout as a sunk cost (paying $10M for his 2019 season), his net salary in 2020 would be $8 Million, making the second year effectively at a discount. With both Dubon and Hiura sitting in AAA, I would initially suspect either Shaw or Moustakis would be dealt during the season to open up a spot on the infield....but having a relatively affordable option opens the door to a prospect-for-pitching trade instead.
  23. For everyone wondering why we heard about the AmFam naming rights this year...this was probably why.
  24. It got lost in the horrible first half, but the 2nd half against Maryland is where Reuvers really started taking off. (I looked it up: 18 points in 24 minutes, including 4-8 from behind the arc. I think most of those points came in the second half, but they'd almost have to.)
  25. Am Fam is such a cognitive disconnect as compared to Miller Park / Brewers. They're not even the first insurance company I think of with respect to the Brewers (which is probably a silver lining for that other company). I don't know how often I would tell people I'm going to Miller Park...but I suspect I'm going to say "Brewers game" or still say Miller Park instead (at least for the first few years).
