  1. That's a tough loss.
  2. MLB: Brewers and A's - Been a fan of both virtually all of my life, with the Brewers always being #1 in my heart. I was a huge Rickey Henderson fan, though, as well as Bash Brothers, and all the way until the current day. NFL: Packers. Obviously. NCAA: UW and Marquette. I cheer for the public school kids when they play each other. NBA: Half of a Bucks fan. I try. I'm a UFC/MMA fanatic. I watch the WWE and wish it was 13-15 years ago and I could watch WCW when there was a Divas match or other bad stuff and then watch ECW on the weekend. So, I just download old stuff and watch that when I want to see good stuff. This year I have gotten into the Premier League and stuff, but don't really have an official team yet. Probably Manchester City. Kun Aguero blows my mind. Soccer is becoming a far more enjoyable experience for me the more I watch it.
  3. There were rumors that Orton was supposed to win the Rumble, but now with his injury situation it is kind of uncertain.
  4. I like Konerko a lot, but I'm not really confident in the Brewers' ability to remain in contention until the deadline if Gamel isn't playing at a reasonably high level. Also, I hope they give him at least a full season to see what he can do.
  5. This could really kill Quentin's numbers.
  6. Ziggler is awesome. Flat-out awesome. That's why I am kind of disappointed that Jericho is going to (likely, since it has been predicted for months) get programmed with Punk. As far as the disparity between Raw/Smackdown, it's time to end the brand extension.
  7. Of course casual fans will think it's lame, because they don't actually understand what he was doing. People will tune in next week to see what he has to say, and why he's back. And he'll instantly be a heel, which is awesome. I thought the segment was pure gold. Wouldn't expect anything less from Jericho. He's one of very few people who could pull that off. Right, but the point is to make money. I don't see where this did anything for that end. Of course internet fans thought it was good, because he's a good heel, but I don't see how it will help otherwise. Punk being champion or a top guy hasn't moved the needle as far as PPV buys and I don't think this feud is going to go any differently. I could be wrong, and hope I am, because I think Jericho is pretty excellent.
  8. The Kane stuff was pretty awesome. Monster Kane is way cooler than ugly, bald, no mask Kane. Curious who they siphon him off to for Mania.
  9. I get the concept, and I thought it was funny. At the same time, I don't get how it makes anyone tune in next week to see what's next. I had a buddy who watches casually text me after it and just say "that was lame".
  10. I saw Wade Keller mention Vince. Have also seen Stephanie and Shane-O-Mac mentioned. That said, this needs to have a big pay-off regardless of who it is. They have done a fantastic job of getting people talking about it, so here's hoping it's awesome and they don't blow it.
  11. I saw that Taker was photographed at some airport, too. Obviously he has to come back at some point soon, pre-Mania.
  12. It does seem odd, so I am curious how they are going to tie him to the videos if he is the guy.
  13. I LOL'd at Tom Boswell's column in the WaPo the other day when he said Adam LaRoche should keep the Nationals from signing Fielder... The same Adam LaRoche of the .172/.288/.258 line last year and that is almost five years older than Prince.
  14. Also, I want Ziggler and Punk to tear the house down tonight, then have Ziggler win the Rumble and face Punk at Mania and have another great match. Put Jericho in against someone else that needs help getting to be a star.
  15. If something he took without running it past the Brewers first caused him to fail a drug test, he's out 50 games. Regardless of it was to suppress a nasty case of swamp mouth or to hit more bombs. Seems pretty cut and dried and also fair.
  16. Lesnar is still under contract with Zuffa, so next year would definitely make more sense. I am hoping Austin comes back next year, too. As far as the airport thing, there is a picture of Jericho at the Nashville airport that I saw. Don't understand why he wouldn't have flown into Memphis instead if he's the guy.
  17. Being white certainly would be a reason a lot of fans would love them, whether it's conscious or not.
  18. I agree, Bailey is not really a special guy. I did think he would fetch guys who were closer to MLB-ready, though. As far as why Beane is making these trades, they are extremely low on cash until they get a new stadium situation. Bailey is arbitration eligible this year, and thus likely not worth his salary for a team in the A's position. Fautino De Los Santos has a chance to be a total stud "closer" if people are looking for fantasy sleepers this season. His BB rate is on the high side, but he is straight up nasty.
  19. As well as poor grammar and spelling.
  20. Yeah... that is about the smallest update imaginable. Every Braun-connected source says he is going to skate on it, which they should if they want to stay friends with him.
  21. I don't. There will still be a bunch of morons who are saying "why did WE let Fielder go?". Those people will be everywhere this season. If they have a 70 win season, the next year will be back to 15 K crowds on weeknights. People might still wear the stuff, but just because they paid $30 for the hat and $25 for the shirsey.
  22. They were actually going to move him back to the rotation because of his shoulder injury that he had in 2006.
  23. On the Red Sox side of things, this should clear Bard to definitely move to the rotation with Melancon and Bailey at the back-end of games now. I always felt they wasted Papelbon (who was very successful in the minors as a starter) by using him as a closer, so I am glad they aren't going to do the same with Bard. He didn't have a ton of success in his one minor league season before being made a reliever, but I think they should give him a shot.
