  1. Or maybe Prince didn't want to play in Milwaukee.
  2. But why couldn't he have just been taking them for his whole career and then finally got caught this time? That would help the consistency.
  3. Isn't Jim DeRogatis on that show? No Wilco? That would blow my mind.
  4. Eh, I'll believe it when it leaks... Goodell has the clean-up crew at work, I'm sure. I'm sure it's true, but you're talking about a league where probably 50% of the players are on HGH and they have a reputation as being tough on drugs. Every media corporation is in bed with the league for huge money, and that stuff tends to get swept under the rug. I'm banking that this will be no different. If it was MLB trying to cover it up, I would agree - the list would have leaked yesterday.
  5. I liked their last album.
  6. They had to have Roode continue to bolster his heelness and to also go over clean on Styles. I really kind of like the premise - though I thought it was pretty awful to end a PPV with a non-finish. They need to siphon Roode off onto Storm now that both of them have been legitimized more. If Roode lost to Hardy... that would suck. With the tag team thing, I dig it. WCW did a similar thing way back in the day (Battle Bowl, I believe). It's a way to get some guys that aren't involved in anything storyline-wise into some feuds. The tag team champs are just a random pairing, anyhow. Samoa Joe is who I am thinking of here. I might be crazy, but I liked the Impact last night. It was better than that garbage that was Raw the other night. I think TNA has a chance to get on a roll if they build the Roode/Storm feud right.
  7. Jon Leuer.... CHAMPIONSHIP!
  8. I saw a lot of shows this year, but my favorites by far were the Two Cow Garage 10th Anniversary shows in Little Rock at the White Water Tavern. The 14 hour or so drive was worth it - got to see several of my favorite bands all under one roof and drink far, far too many PBR tall boys for $1.50 a piece. Honorable mention goes to the Lucero two night stand in Fayetteville, especially night one with Cory Branan opening. Crazy that I made two road trips to Arkansas this year, but both were amazing. As far as WI shows go, I loved being able to see The Jayhawks and Alejandro Escovedo at Summerfest. It was beautiful that night. Looking forward to a three night run of Lucero shows in April in Madison, MKE, and Chicago that I will be going to. My favorite band on earth.
  9. I still check the site daily, but mostly out of habit. I find that the AV Club reviews stuff that I have far more interest in. Once P4K got into promoting stuff like Wavves that is completely unlistenable, I pretty much dropped out.
  10. Not to mention that he has to look out for the best interest of the MLBPA and any other players that may find themselves in a similar position in the future.
  11. I have it on good background that Braun doesn't actually shop at Kwik Trip.
  12. I'm way out of touch with Pitchfork nation these days.
  13. That was 2010.
  14. Yup. They have been my pick all along. If you go with Boras, you're going for the most money you can get, not necessarily to a winning team. Baltimore is a perfect spot for him.
  15. The NFL does such a good job with PR, though. I would think this story will go away fast. If it were a bunch of idiots like MLB, I would think that it would linger longer, but the NFL has managed to bury stories that should have led to steroid/HGH scandals in the past, as well as narcotics ones. I'd think the same will happen here.
  16. As far as I know, there is a list of approved drugs/medications/supplements, etc. and that if a player is going to take something not included on that list without consulting their team trainer or MLB, then it's their problem if it causes them to fail a drug test. Seems to be a totally logical policy, in my opinion.
  17. 1. Glossary - "Long Live All Of Us" 2. Austin Lucas - "A New Home In The Old World" 3. Shane Sweeney - "The Finding Time" 4. John Paul Keith - "The Man That Time Forgot" 5. Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit - "Here We Rest" 6. Lauderdale - "Moving On" 7. Michael Dean Damron - "Plea From a Ghost" 8. Micah Schnabel - "I'm Dead, Serious" 9. Tom Waits - "Bad As Me" 10. Jonny Corndawg - "Down On The Bikini Line"
  18. It's pretty cool that the Clippers might be good.
  19. I would consult Chris Carpenter before explaining slumpbusters to my kids (if I had kids).
  20. Watching the PPV from the other night. Austin Aries is pretty awesome.
  21. Jive Soul Bro is indeed racist, but Akeem the African Dream was awesome.
  22. Well, it would definitely be more hilarious if that were true.
  23. Seems like you have to go two years with the good utility guys. That doesn't seem like a good thing for the Brewers' chances of getting one.
  24. I pretty much agree with everything you said.
