  1. I think I might listen to the red's feed today, to hear Marty's last game. I lived in Cincy for 5 years and really enjoyed him. A true great!
  2. Really, THIS IS CRAZY! What a month! Let's stay hot!
  3. I think it's more, they get the leftovers. Not that they get last pick, but certain numbers have to go to certain players. Wrs and TEs 0-19 and 80s. Rbs, FBs 20-40. QB 0-19. OL 50s-70s. I don't know if Def actually has to have certain numbers or not. I can't remember off hand. But there are kind of unwritten rules about what numbers you wear, depending on position. So I just think the Kickers get left with fewer to pick from, especially if they are underclassman!
  4. I think this will be a very tough game tonight. I hope I'm wrong. Our pitching is going to have to do a great job and keep the runs low.
  5. This is just insane right now! I can't believe this run. Craig is doing a heck of a job piecing this thing together. I'm sure it's super stressful, but also a lot of fun for a baseball mind. Really enjoyable seeing how this all plays out each night.
  6. This is so fun! Finish off the sweep today Crew! Let's goooooo!
  7. My friend brought this up a few days prior to the injury, but now I'm thinking this could be a good time to do it. Tear up the old contract and see if we could get him to sign a four or five year contract for big bucks. Gives him some insurance, that he'll have one big pay day, but also will hopefully leave him for the big markets in four years for another. My initial thought was there is no way he'd do it, with how big the contracts have been this off season, but now with the injury, maybe he'd be more interested in the safety of this. Could be win win and still allow him another big contract.
  8. Let's keep this thing going. Can't wait for the game tonight! They have to keep the foot on the gas.
  9. Well that was a fun weekend! I don't know if we fully realize how great Yelich has been for us. The guy is unreal!
  10. So this debate on Trent doesn't spin too far out of control, remember, we won't know what the right answer is for several years down the road. So state your case, and reasons why, but let's not argue like there is a right and wrong answer we can figure out today. You'll only end up mad. I'm in the camp of waiting on him because this new offense has been a new trend. I don't want to act on something that fresh. Hiura, I'm all for it. He's living up to the hype, as many of said, one of the best young bats in MLB. "Low mid market team needs to be ahead of the curve to have any chance at a World Series title." - Brew Crew 92 This same ideology can sink a small market team quickly as well. It only takes a few bad gambles and they will struggle for several years. I'd almost argue they need to be more conservative on giving out new contracts super early.
  11. I think they still have a run in them..... but I think it will be too little too late.
  12. DHonks, I honestly think using Brewers is the way to go. At least for me, I know way more about them, and their matchups then anyone else. Mind as well use that to your advantage. Plus it's more fun when you're watching the game and your guy gets a hit. Yes, saw that guy was at 51. I thought he was about to win it for sure!
  13. Brewers are back! Que gif of Will Ferrell punching cereal boxes in Old School.
  14. Just started playing this year with 4 friends. Who ever has the worst, best score, has to buy at a happy hour this fall. Right now my best is 13 and I'm so mad because Lindor went 0 for 6!!! 6 at bats! It's a lot harder than it seems.
  15. I have a BGE but no experience with a pellet smoker. The reason I've really started to like my egg is because you can grill on it too. When you smoke on it, you put the ceramic plate in, and it's indirect smoking. When you girls, take the plate out and it's direct heat and can get a great sear on your meat. Also, you can use it like a pizza oven and make some pretty great stuff. The nice thing about ceramic smokers is, it's actually easy to regulate your heat (compared to trying to smoke on a weber). By using the top and bottom vent, you get it to the temp you want, and it will go for hours without needing any adjustment. It's probably not as fool proof as a pellet, but for the most part, you don't need to mess with it once it's set.
  16. What a great event. I really got in to it. I also loved how much my two boys, 6 and 3, got in to it too. This team is really fun to watch.
  17. I use eero, which I believe is like google's. I have been in two houses and they have worked really well. We have the base unit, which would replace your wireless router. We then have two plugins that extend the range. We have one in the basement and one in the living room (router upstairs). The system switches you to the best signal automatically. It's worked really well. Without it, both houses had quite a few dead zones. This is funny, while typing this, and listening to the radio, a eero commercial came on. Ha!
  18. Sad to see him go. At first I was slightly frustrated, but after letting my emotion get out of the way, I think it was the right move. I too, hope he lands with a solid team.
  19. This is tough to swallow and I've been worrying about this all offseason/season. It's usually such a bumpy road back, trying to get normal after a major shoulder surgery. I hope this is just a setback that he can overcome. I hope he can get back and be effective in the majors. Some can get through it, some can't. I think I'm finally going to let go of my hopes of him being a dominant starter again. My new hopes are that he can get through this and still be starter for many years. My other hope is, he reinvents himself in the bullpen, and becomes good there. Either way, I wish him the best in this tough time.
  20. That is one epic autocorrect!
  21. As of a couple of years ago, only two schools in the Big Ten did not allow NCAA minimum qualifiers - UW and Illinois. Northwestern allows them; they just don't get good recruits because of zero history of success and because their facilities are awful. If you've never been to their football stadium, you'd think you were at a FCS or DII school. They just renovated their basketball arena, and it still is a sub-par glorified gymnasium. It seats a little over 7,000 people. But have you seen football practice facility? Might be the best thing in the nation. I'll be curious if that will help them get some better recruits. Obviously will always be an uphill battle, but that facility looks amazing.
  22. Nice win tonight. A lot of positive, Moose, Yaz, and Grandal were great. Burnes.... not so much. I'm not sure what to do with him, but if he can't get outs on a somewhat regular basis, we have to send him down.
  23. Hiandtight - I would lose my mind on that one! I'd threaten to sue them if it's not returned.
  24. Great turn out by Brewers Fans at Target Field last night. As I stated in the in-game, when Arcia hit the go ahead home run, to a very loud chant of "Let's Go Brewers," it was a truly awesome moment. Nice win against a very hot team.
  25. There are usually a lot of Brewer fans at these games by fans who live in the western part of WI. There are a ton of Wisconsin Natives that live in Minneapolis as well, me included. We were at the game and it was a blast. I like this friendly rivalry because there isn't a ton of bad blood like with the cubs. Both sides can have fun with it. That said, it was really awesome to hear the cheers when the Brewers had a big play. Speaking of loud, the Brewers fans got an extremely loud "Let's go Brewers!" chant going during the Arcia at bat (they had a couple other ones, but they were probably half the volume). The twins fans started to try to chant and boo over them at the same time. Then he hit the go ahead home run and the place went nuts! It was so cool. I was totally caught up in the moment. Fun game!
