    I don't mind all the other sports talk in off topic. I guess maybe to clean it up a bit, have subform "other WI sports." I welcome any extra activity that Packers, Badgers, and Bucks would bring to the site.

    Just curious - do you think there are two groups of people in general, ones that like or don't care about announcers and ones that get irritated by a majority of announcers? Try to be honest with yourself. I'm in the camp that never really notices announcers unless it's someone like Davie Nelson in the booth as a replacement. If I do notice announcers screwing up or being goofy, it makes me laugh as opposed to being irritated. It almost entertains me. Anyway, just curious if the people who don't like BA, also tend to dislike a lot of national announcers as well (Buck, Aikmen, Collinsworth, etc)

    I have a hard time liking the idea of a computer calling balls and strikes. It just seems like the game would have less soul and personality that way. I'd totally be fine with a handful of challenges each game, but that would be the most I'd like to see. Just my opinion.

    Boy this is fun to think about but also stressful. I'm always a worrier so I think they will lose ground on the trip. I'm really hoping they can have a great series against COL to star this trip off. One series at a time.

    I don't know if this trade talk was even a consideration from the Bucks or just talk from those guys as "good fit." I don't like it. Short term and there is no way Kyrie stays. Plus, for at least one year, you still have to beat Lebron. I'd rather wait another year or two to make that big move/signing. On the Harley patch, is that on their for every game or just for a few? Is the NBA going to adds this year?

    I think many of you are underestimating how hard it is to be a Baseball announcer and to constantly stay fresh. We are talking 162 games with a lot of downtime. Yes I know BA does fewer games than that, but it's still a lot. People are going to repeat themselves, they will say dumb things, they will screw up. I think there are a lot of people that will never be happy with a full time radio or tv guy. I've always thought we've been extremely fortunate in WI and as Brewer fans, to have had the talent we've had (especially in a small market. Be thankful.

    I agree with the Bro stuff. That rubs me the wrong way. It's like a gang of frat boys. That said, some of the stuff they put out is pretty good. Big Cat - Dan Katz, is really good I think. He does a great job of walking the line between sports and comedy. He doesn't do too much Bro stuff, just having fun and not taking himself too seriously. I think the guy who started the whole thing is pretty funny on camera. Just naturally one of those people that makes you laugh. So I guess I always get caught in this middle ground where I like some of the stuff they do but don't like the people who get too in to it, if that makes sense.

    Purchased a couple Ribeye Cap Steaks from Costco this weekend. Wow! I was pretty sure just by looking at it (from the marbling), that it would be good, but I was blown away. Highly recommend.

    Just curious how many people have started reading/listening to Barstool Sports? I've gotten in to it quite a bit but sometimes question if I should be. It can be pretty immature, which I'm guilty of being at times! It can be really funny too. I think a couple people there are pretty legit, but others don't offer much. I question whether they are creating much or just forwarding on funny stuff on the internet. Thought I'd see if any of you are in to it or strongly against them.

    I hate those things! We call them hair-a-pedes! I actually just read something on them, that they actually eat other bugs I think? So it was suggested to leave them be because you'll have fewer types of other bugs in the house. Don't know if I could ever go with that strategy. I hate how fast they are!

    Yes but which pole is up and which is down is arbitrary. This is getting deep. I don't want to think about this too hard or my mind will explode.

    I didn't have time to run through the whole thread but saw some people wanting us to either go for it with big trades or don't do anything and sell off any short term assets (if we have any). I think DS is doing the right thing by making little moves to see if he can help out a team that is overachieving. I strongly think we shouldn't be doing anything drastic. Stick to the plan and make our move in a few years. Anything prior to that is could put everything at risk for the future. As William Wallace said in Braveheart.... HOOOOOLD, HOOOOOOLD, HOOOOOOOLD

    Yes, I'd say my definition of up north, is north of highway 29 or so. My family has a cottage on Long lake, north of Campbellsport. I like it over there, but it's nothing like northern WI.

    Heck of a win last night but pretty hairy. Not sure what Arcia was thinking on the pop up. Would have been an easy catch for Braun. I can't believe how much the Cardinals hitters were guessing in the 9th and maybe the 8th too.

    I'd say others do, but it's not mandatory like it is in WI I joked the other day that I'm worried I might be known as the jerk in my new neighborhood in WI (just moved back after being gone for about 10 years). I keep forgetting that I need to wave at all passing cars in the neighborhood!

    NeedMoreFans - Yes, a lot of letters of recommendation come from people you no longer work with. A lot of scenarios, it's tough to ask for a recommendation letter from your current employer. I would imagine, in your scenario, a current administrator would likely be happy to help you though.

    Tough loss last night. Don't think this is any kind of skid yet, just happens to be two losses in a row. I think this will be a tough road trip. Hopefully we can go 500.

    Completely forgot that they also have Wang. Amazing. "Hey Wang, what's with the pictures? It's a parking lot!" Edit: Btw....I know...Wang in the Brewers org. is not pronounced the same. Still.. Busted out laughing at this. How could I not have made that connection?!?!

    Tremendous idea! Also props to the person to post the Ty Webb pic. Made me laugh. Seems like a good move. This is the type of thing I'd rather see at this point in the "re-build."

    Baldkin - I've been the same way. I've been trying to just have fun and not expect much all year. Now I'm getting to the point where that is becoming tough. I'm somewhere in between caring about every game and just enjoying the wins and progress of this young team.
