All Macha's players hated him. He was not an answer. He may have done things well with managing but he can't lead a team. Don't get mad at Ron for being blessed with two shortstops to play 1b. He's hands are tied. I like Ron and I like when he bunts and does suicide squeeze plays. They work more often than they don't. He may lack some fire at times but Macha did too. His players seem to like him and we are winning, what else should we need as fans?

So we win because of our players but we lose because of the manager. That argument doesn't jive for me. Either you think the manager has little influence over a game and therefore players should get 95% of the credit/blame or you think the manager has a big influence and should get most of the credit/blame. If you think the manager is the key to a team's success, you better give Ron some credit because we have won a lot, even with a team that was left for dead last year. If you think it's all about the players, don't blame Ron when we lose, blame the players for not doing their job. Listen, I get it, when a manager makes a decision and it doesn't work, people get upset and say the other decision was the right one. That's easy because we can just assume decision B would have worked, but really that could just as easily failed too. So I understand why managers get all the heat each game, it's easy to blame them. I think if we win a World Series people would still dislike our manager.

Does anyone on this site ever like a current manager? Just curious. Back to back winning seasons, made the playoffs, won a series, almost made it last year when left for dead, what else do you want from a small market team? Not accusing anyone but it seems like the attitude tends to lean that, when we win its because of the players, but when we lose its the managers fault. Can't really have it both ways.

Really, I'd try to be a good neighbor and do what you can to help them out with their issue of smelling the smoke. Like if it's a nice day, walk around a bit or whatever. If it's raining or you are hanging with friends, don't feel bad for having a few smokes. It sounds like you aren't out there that often, right? If issues continue, I'd just say, always try to take the high road. Have a conversation and see if there is a way you can meet in the middle and both be kind of happy.

Are people using the 'Chat' during games anymore? Also, can that be used on an iPad or is that not an option? Just curious, haven't checked that in awhile.

Ya that is BS. I mean, try to be nice, but really that's on them to shut their window. I'd be nice about it, but it's your right and you aren't trying to hurt them. You could put a fan on your porch that blows away from their house, as a gesture. But really they have no right to complain.

Is this two separate houses or an apartment? Where are you actually smoking in relation to their house? Just trying to get a better picture of this? I feel like you should be able to do whatever you like on your property as long as you aren't breaking rules. Is there another part of your property you could smoke in? Garage, backyard, etc?

That made me laugh. Carlos is playing really well. I'm sure there will be some ups and downs, but I've always loved watching him. It's like he drinks a case of red bull before every game. Just fired up to be out there. -

Ender - just curious why you think Weeks isn't humble. Not a jab, just don't know how much I've heard that. I know he never wants to sit, even when struggling but I think that's because he'd rather play his way out of it. Great game! Started falling asleep late, that one tool awhile for an east coast time zoner. Lets get the sweep now and keep these guys down as long as we can. Pirates are playing good ball but for some reason we just keep out playing them. Love it.

First off, I had no idea YB was only 31 (I believe they said that during the game yesterday). I thought he was 33 or so. Second, with that information, I actually thought, boy, we should sign him up for cheap for another year or two. HA!!! Way too early to have a thought like that creep in to my head. But with him able to play all 4 IF positions, I wouldn't mind him on our squad. Even if he goes back to the old YB batting style. Third, I really can't see Weeks getting benched, but man, he should be if this keeps up (for both Weeks and YB). I do think that even with Hart and ARam back, they will probably need days off the first few weeks. Let them ease back in to playing full time. So I see quite a bit of playing time for YB until mid May or so. At that point if Weeks is still batting .175, he's got to get benched. Edit - YB is 31? I thought they said he was 27 yesterday, but that might have been Vin Scully screwing up or they were talking about someone else.

Wow what a fun game. Segura is unreal right now. I don't even know what to say about Yuni! Haha. Gomez just makes me pumped up, I love it. I have a perma grin!

I guess I never counted that as a baseball movie, but really that's what sparks the whole thing. Always love watching that one!
