  1. Boy that looks petty good. I'm having a hard time figuring out where Gomez should be..... What is his ideal spot in the lineup if we are just talking about him and not other players on the team determining where he should bat?
  2. Cnet is solid too. Try to get the most up to date tech is my only suggestion (whatever that is).
  3. Sorry to hear that, I can't imagine. Hang in there and soon it will be easier to think of all the good times and smile about them.
  4. I can't believe Bucky right now. Good win!
  5. It's not crazy. The difficulty of position changes tend to be drastically overrated by fans. I remember many fans here wringing their hands about whether or not Corey Hart could handle the 'move' to 1B... even though he'd played the position as a younger player. Now, I'm certainly not of the mind that Weeks could handle 3B -- in fact, the thought of him trying to make some of the throws required at the position makes me shudder -- but I don't think it's crazy to discuss players changing positions. This is a fan message board, after all I think a move from corner OF to 1B is a better fit both for body type and bat (the typical player). Also, as you said, Hart had some experience there. Some guys are athletes and can handle a position change. Other players are ok at what they do because of lots of repetition, but a move would be a disaster. Rickie's bat at 3b or 1b is not good and if his defense is still lacking, that puts us in a big hole. The only guy I see making a change to maybe do 1B would be ARam and I guess I could see Braun handling it. I don't want Braun there, but I think he'd have a shot at being ok there and his Bat fits.
  6. Random question, but if someone in Iowa had mlb.tv, would they get blacked out from all of them or would they get all those games?
  7. I don't think Weeks can handle anything now besides 2b. He can't even handle that so moving him does not seem like an option at all. There aren't many guys who can play multiple positions well in MLB. Same goes for Braun, keep him in the OF. I want to go with Morris at 1b but guessing they think if they rush him he may never develop.
  8. You don't get out of market games though do you? That would only work in WI I believe.
  9. This has probably been discussed on this thread but is there anyway Morris could get the 1b job this year or is that totally out of the question? I really don't want to give up much to fill this position...... I say keep holding out for a low asking price for Davis or come up with a lesser option with a lower price tag.
  10. Of course! That had to be fun. I hate it when it's super cold in the house in the morning!!!
  11. 1.) I'm willing to give him another shot, but I really don't want Francisco at 1b to be our main option. Anything but him. 2.) Have a young guy blow up and become a mainstay in our lineup or rotation. 3.) Davis to play like he did at the end of last year. 4.) Have a good start to the year! 5.) Young pitchers take a step forward, giving us a better picture of what we have for the future. I feel like I have so many more, but I won't cheat, and I'll leave it at that. Good thread so far, very enjoyable read.
  12. I can't remember off hand if you have to do the premium package for the overlay, but I'm guessing that answer is yes. They time it up very well, there are no issues that I'm aware of. It's a cool feature. I love MLB.tv and do the premium package (this will be my third year). Just so you are aware, the audio overlay has only been available on the computer, not phones, tablets, and apple tv. I really hope they change that up this year! Not sure where you live, just make sure you aren't in a Brewers blackout area is the only thing you should look in to. I'm guessing there aren't any outside the state of WI.
  13. Tis the season to be merry.....well that's my name. Let's hear your must watch Christmas movies for the holiday season and favorite lines. Christmas Vacation - multiple times x5 "Is your house on fire Clark?" Four Christmases - really continues to grow on me. "It's not a satellite genius it's a satellite dish!" Trading Places Elf Gremlins It's a Wonderful Life Christmas Story - "a crummy commercial....son of a…" Home Alone
  14. Doomsday peppers is terrible and amazing, all at the same time. My random thought, I think I did a great job shopping for the wife this year for Christmas and her birthday (28th). Pretty excited to see how I did.
  15. What do you say to the people who think they will get beat up and pushed around come big 10 time? I know this can go both ways because their O will cause matchup issues. I'm just worried about us getting killed in the paint and not being able to rebound effectively enough.
  16. I know this was announced awhile ago but I'm super bummed the fantasy focus baseball podcast will not be the same anymore. Both Mathew Berry and Nate Ravitz are moving on. I fear they could leave the football show too but have nothing to back that up. I've been listening to their football show for a good 5 or 6 years. I even started listening to their baseball show and I didn't even play fantasy baseball, I just enjoyed them so much. I remember checking for mid summer football shows every day. Would there be a new one today???... All summer long. I know there was a lot of nonsense on their show but I need that. 100% fantasy information does not keep me coming back. These guys will be missed and I really hope they continue with the football show. Thanks for all the laughs.
  17. Yes, I think it's good in theory, but not sure how it will be enforced. Catchers may have the hardest time adjusting to this because their instinct is to block the plate. I think it will be a bigger story this coming year, barely a story the following year, and pretty much gone from our minds year 3.
  18. I too am nervous about the next few games but great point on being at home, that should help. They will have a tough B10 season, hopefully they can get a few sneaky wins and do their thing at home. Fun to watch.
  19. I agree, I like it for certain things. My wife is the exact same as yours, hates it! It is not good for action movies and sports because of all the trail effects going on. It always reminds me of PBS or British public television shows!
  20. I get why guys are saying that stuff, but I don't think they've really thought it through. They think, oh, just getting my bell rung, worst case, be out for a week. But I don't think they really think about being paralyzed, severe memory loss, shortness of life, or even death from a blow to the head. Some guys may be willing to take a shorter life for the fame and glory, but I don't think many have really weighed the positives and negatives. I think the league is going to be extremely different in 10 years. Either they have to get way better helmets or they won't actually be able to hit guys, just grab them and throw them down. I bet they will make a rule in the near future you can't hit below the waist, which will make it impossible to hit anyone.
  21. Hey, throw in some ranch dressing and you got yourself a business idea!
  22. Ya there aren't too many "reality shows" that aren't scripted anymore. That or they come up with stupid things that will "happen" during the show and take it from there. You can usually tell how much a show is scripted by the way they do the interviews. Some people are so bad at "acting" in those and it's a dead give away. I would say there aren't too many shows that just show real life. Cops, Deadliest Catch (they are guilty at times of doing stuff they probably wouldn't do if cameras weren't around), Hoarders..... ya not too many. I think it's also one thing to enjoy some of these scripted shows but it's another to believe they are real. If you enjoy it and you know it's made up, I'm cool with that.
