  1. Envision this with me... Ortiz slides back to 3rd and remembers again how to be 2024 offensive Joey Ortiz?!
  2. It is time. Congrats to him and to us. Exciting times.
  3. Super random thought.. if we play Philly in the first round of the playoffs does Perkins make the roster and start in game one against Sanchez?
  4. I imagine Ashby is a top 5 hardest pitcher to try and bunt against..
  5. Sunday lineup in full affect. Sorry to Mudcatsfan for making it all the way up here but not be able to see a few of the bigger names. Hopefully the boys give you a show regardless.
  6. The Phillies had a chance to give their guy a leg up on the Cy Young race and it did not go well for them. The Brewers have the same chance today to give Miz a stiff arm's length lead. Let's see how we do.
  7. Something is up with O'Rae. He has gotten 3 total at bats in the last week but has pinch ran in 2 other games and the game notes always say he was "given the day off".
  8. The Brewers wouldn't risk losing a full year of development with Made by bringing him up for 4 pinch hit at bats in the post season or something like that. I don't believe he is being considered for the big leagues this year.
  9. At this rate I won't be surprised if Jaron DeBerry is making starts for us in August.
  10. Fischer + what though is the question. If we could get Skubal for Fischer straight up I'd walk to Appleton now to help him pack his bags. I'm guessing Fischer would be the 2nd piece in any deal for Skubal. We have half a dozen guys ranked in the Top 100 they would probably be trying to get as the main piece.
  11. I'll have fun watching the condensed recall later. I missed all of it. Was Schwarber's hit legitimate or was it a cheap one somewhere?
  12. Oh my gosh. I just finished up work and turned my phone on and checked the box score. What the heck did I miss.
  13. It was "Chew" not "Chewy".. I got it wrong. His teammates call him that. So much easier to type. https://x.com/i/status/2055391492521226532
  14. The trade deadline this year will probably sort this all out. If/when Fischer and Chewy move up Boeve becomes homeless... but Boeve isn't a guy to give up on until you know that labrum did forever damage imo. My guess is we will find out which of Adams/Wilken the Brewers like more and which one they don't mind moving on from. I'm not sure Blake Burke is needed in AA anymore - he and Boeve can move up together to make room for Bitonti, Fisher and Chewy. Pena, Made, and Pratt can all move up a level at the same time this summer as well. You could consider if the Brewers are making a big swing at the trade deadline that Fischer is going to be a part of those talks. If they are making a smaller move then any of Wilken, Adams, or Boeve will be on the table.
  15. You're so cool.
  16. So we traded Waguespack for Richardson and cash. Fleece! Richardson has appeared in 41 big league games in his career. 2 this season. Still only 26. 2nd rd pick by the Reds in '18. Let Hook and Henderson get their hands on him and see what we can discover. Fastball runs 96. Throws his changeup more than anything else.
  17. Different perspectives are so interesting. Is Mitchell broken or is he a few tweaks away from being an all star? Both things can be true depending on how you look at that savant graphic. With only a year's worth of big league experience I'm not letting him go until we are sure we can't unlock him.
  18. Local kid that has turned a corner this year - Thomas Burns from Hortonville. Big RHP pitching at Texas. Was a starter but they moved him to the closers role this year. His numbers are mixed but 43 k's in 22 innings. Hucks it up there high 90s. Big over the top delivery with some real rise. I think BA had him in the 100s as far as college prospects go at one point this year ... not sure where he ended up.
  19. Fischer won't get a full season in Appleton but if he does he might break the TRats team home run record by 10.
  20. Not even midnight. I can get a normal sleep in. This was the game to kick if you had to. Need Sproat to keep the ball in the yard tomorrow and our bullpen should be ok to bring it home. Just win the series and get back to Wisconsin. Goodnight all.
  21. They are just going to strike out the entire roster to finish this one up, huh?
  22. Rally caps friends. One on then one up into the jet stream. Let's go.
  23. This Alvarado character has a live arm. 3 ks from 3/4/5 maybe isn't the most productive inning. Let's see if the A's tempt fate and bring in a lefty for the 8th and pray Vaughn doesn't get a chance with a runner on.
