    I don't see any indication he will be in the lineup tonight. There is zero evidence he went to Washington DC this morning. I can tell you Delta flights/routes to DC from Colorado Springs were open this morning, so if Milwaukee wanted him in DC tonight to play - travel was not an issue.

    So if no other news comes out shortly the speculation will ramp up once tonight’s lineup is released. If Brinson has been called up he will be in the lineup against Gonzalez. That is certain, yes? If he isn’t in the lineup, then he becomes the centerpiece of trade rumors I would assume. Side note: I do believe I have broken my daily record for hitting refresh on both Brewerfan as well as Ken Rosenthal’s twitter feed. So put today’s date in the record books.

    Haudricourt tweeted “Stearns said when he woke up yesterday he didn’t know he’d be making a trade. That’s how fluid things are.” If that is what Stearns said to Haudricourt I’m going to put a 95% sticker on the fact that someone is being traded…

    I’m not arguing for or against… still learning the nuances. If we were to trade for Darvish and he walks, we acquire the compensation piece that is making his price a bit higher, yes?

    Supposably the price on Darvish is high since Texas can get draft pick compensation. Phillips could probably headline a deal, but this forum would freak out giving that up for a rental when we aren't playing well. I wouldn't be a fan either unless there is an extension announcement at the same time. Add Wily+ to the deal and bring Jeffress back. Fans will take it easier.

    I think the thought process is that Cordell won't help the team this year and won't be protected on the 40 next ... same thing with Cooper. Swarzak has no future control so this one is a little tougher... but it is a positive on the major league squad for a bit whereas Cordell would have gotten taken next year in the Rule 5 and therefore provided nothing. I think anyway...

    For some reason this one feels good to me. It was almost like the 2nd half started 3 days earlier than we were expecting and we couldn’t catch up. Got a rest day. The Cubs took an L. Deep breath, little lineup tweak. Now let’s start the 2nd half for real. Davies is on the mound so we will score 9. I feel good about tonight.

    That makes a bit more sense than my initial thought. They had already moved Devin Hairston, their 6th round pick, into WI. If you try him at short and Keston plays 2B ... Lara's confidence goes down the drain further. Didn't think they would already move Hairston away and Lara down...

    I absolutely agree...we must deliver out harsh punishment for attempted humor...especially when it's noted in the title. I think your post and my post have a lot more similarities than you think...
