  2. Happy Father's Day. Let's get real.
  3. Jeremy Jeffress is the answer.
  4. Dang. Those are some great deals. I had forgotten the exact player for player of each of those.
  5. The Brewers would be foolish not to check out the market for Knebel in a month +. My guess is we won’t get a “blown away” offer that it would take to deal him, but relievers are so up and down. He is our best trade chip right now and the price tag should be extremely high given our position in the division – but the conversations should absolutely take place.
  6. My cousin just got drafted by the Padres boys! Got a great feeling about this one tonight. Garza back and his buddy Sogard leading off. Let's get one..
  7. Spoken in a moment of frustration, I know. But if the 2017 Milwaukee Brewers have highly frustrated you this year ... you may need to adjust a few of your expectations? They have been a joy to watch thus far. Sure a few guys are struggling, but the pros outweigh the cons about 4 to 1. Easy on the hate juice. Yes, this season has been quite a bit better than I expected. And it's certainly a step in the right direction. They are way better than I ever expected them to be. BUT, that doesn't mean that the team should just put up with terrible performances over and over and over again by the same players. We're not talking about young guys here in growing pains - there's no reason a team (one in first place even - I know, not likely to last), should continue to keep guys on the roster that simply aren't getting the job done. I definitely understand. This is actually a really good discussion topic. The Brewers are in a rebuild and are having, by most accounts, unexpected success. So on a normal rebuilding team, bringing up a guy like a Phillips or a Kyle Wren, etc to fill that 25th spot to maximize every at bat or defensive switch, etc in every game is likely not as important as giving them regular at bats in the minors? Stearns has been pretty consistent with the “we are not changing out approach” stance … but at what point in an anomaly year, like this one might be, does the focus shift and we say “we are going for this” and we drop Franklin, Peralta, etc for better alternatives in the system who might have their “plan” stunted by the earlier than anticipated call up to help? I’m not arguing against you, I’m actually interested in other’s viewpoints.
  8. I have a weird feeling about this one. Maybe seeing Feliz throw a bunch of strikes is just confusing me ...

  10. http://i.imgur.com/xZEBBLp.gif I laughed at that gif out loud in my quiet office and about 4 co-workers turned and glared at me. Thanks.
  11. His debut was a cold and rainy and windy day at Wrigley … I’m happy he is getting a chance to throw again in normal conditions. Would love to get him a big league win.
  12. I’m not sure I’ve ever felt as bad for a kid as I did when he was traded. I would have traded him too because the haul he was bringing was necessary… but there are very few more obvious cases of a team and/or city being a necessary comfort than Jeffress and Milwaukee. I would love to bring him back.
  13. I would think we will see Phillips again against the righty and then if he gets a day off it'll be against the overachieving lefty tomorrow?
  14. Half expecting to see Davies go 7 in 4 h 1 er ... and be tied and end up losing it late. Our starters will have gone the pitching 21+ innings giving up less than 3 total runs and we will have gotten swept. Just a projection. Hoping for an offensive explosion though.
  15. Our plate approach stinks so far in extras and we get to face Jansen again. I know, I know. I'm just trying to be optimistic. He has already thrown 17 pitches, maybe his arm will get confused.
  16. Wow, no kidding. Make room on that Top 12 list on the main page! ERA start to a shiny 3.36
  17. 101 pitches. Best start of your career Jimmy, congrats dude! Heart of the order up, let Knebel finish now?
  18. If he can get to the 9th under 100 pitches how can you look him in the eye and tell him he can't finish it? Kershaw over 100 pitches, his spot coming up... might be done through 7 ... which is a win for us I think.
