  1. .. and that's where I landed with all of this. I'm not knocking the FO even a bit for any of it IF any of it is more than coincidence. Use the system that's given to you. I was just pointing out that a few of our injuries as of late have just been fortunate in their timings.
  2. sarcasm noted. hope you have a better weekend!
  3. Is there any way this can be made into an active chart? I just saw that Castro is hitting .200 with the Cubs, McMahon is like 3 for his last 18, and Suarez has no idea where he is. This chart would be incredible to reference as the summer drags on so we don't have to check each one individually. I'm not sure how hard that request is... thank you!
  4. Color me suspicious on this injury as well. This one is as coincidental as the Miz injury. Myers wasn't able to be recalled until Sunday or so unless an injury occurred... Henderson cannot surpass 45 days on the active roster if we want to keep his rookie status next year. Although Myers is now listed as tomorrow's starter, so I suppose they would have just thrown Henderson tomorrow and then sent him down for Myers after the weekend... I dunno, I truly hope I am right and the Brewers are just playing sneaky chess. Cannot have another Gasser situation. But until further notice I am suspicious... **post edit, by my count Logan has spent 26 days on the active roster, someone can fact check me on that .. so we have 18 remaining days he can be with us active if we want to holdover his rookie status into next year**
  5. I would think that is the hope. If they both show well in this final month plus.. I'm not sure there's much benefit to having them hit in the cold weather for the first month next season.
  6. Jiminy Crickets. Andrew Vaughn is going to get some MVP votes, isn't he?
  7. All of this said, the Brewers have won at like an 80% clip (any chance someone could actually look this stat up for me? I won't be able to for a while yet. ) since Rhys left the team so he does not have too much footing to stand on if he throws a tantrum over playing time when he returns.
  8. I mentioned this a few days back too. A platoon at DH with Yeli and Hoskins would make our lineup pretty sick... But I don't know how either would handle it and I'm not sure Murphy could do it. But it is the right move right now.
  9. Any other guys sprinting towards the wall I don't worry about because of normal human tendencies.... But when Sal is running towards one I just assume he is about to knock himself out.
  10. I don't think it is wild to say that Collins should be our #3 hitter and Vaughn should be our #4 hitter permanently.
  11. It's crazy. When Chourio returns... How do you sit Sal? But how do you sit Perkins? But how do you sit Collins?
  12. Oh my gosh what is going on in Washington? They've given up 70 runs in their last 6 games.
  13. I mean I get watching him can be eye rolling... but big deep breath here friends. Freddy is top 20 in the league in ERA (which is now flirting to go below 3). He is top 20 in SO. He is top 20 in opponents BA against. He definitely walks guys (11th) but because no one hits him his WHIP is still top 20 in baseball. Wins are a whatever stat but he leads the league in them and has an outside chance of being the first 20 game winner for Milwaukee since the Raegan administration... ... and he is making $8 million dollars a year... .. and he doesn't get hurt. Where else are you going to find a pitcher under 30 who will put up that stat line and only cost you that much who will take the ball every 5th day? (BTW, tied for 23rd in MLB in innings pitched coming into tonight) We have been blessed this year with such great pitching that we are allowing ourselves to pick him apart when he has been a rock for us. He was the MVP of the team through the first two months outside of MAYBE Sal. Monster truck type haul for him in the off season only ... otherwise he is here to try for the repeat and we trade him during or give him a QO after the year. Freddy is frustrating but he is awesome.
  14. To be fair they have been really good this year in those spots. The name "Team Sac Fly" hasn't been given to them without reason...
  15. You know... I thought of this during the Washington series and I was just reminded watching Collins AB right there (for the wrong reason this time)... The Brewers have so FEW at bats that are not competitive, Ortiz aside. Yelich oddly enough seems like he has the most after Joey. I have no idea how to quantify or qualify this observation but we just don't seem overwhelmed at the plate by anyone, ever. Even Siegler, who isn't picking up hits .... it feels like he battles himself into a 2-2 count all the time and then makes decent contact. I dunno, I could be wrong.
  16. winning in multiple ways. the confidence in this club just slowly builds and builds..
