    Yeah I'm going to avoid the IGT for awhile. They are toxic enough as is and we have the best record in baseball. Can't imagine how they will be if we slip a bit here. Once the hurt of the trade deadline passes I'll find my way back..

    I know we all felt bad that he lost his job and rightfully so... But the only question whether he stayed with us was whether he was going to be too hurt at the release to stay. The best way for Haase to help the Brewers was to be in Nashville working with Myers, Henderson, Patrick and the new arms soon coming up from AA. This is great.

    You are doing the same thing. You are upset over something you don't know. I have stated my support for wanting to address the infield. But there is a spectrum of what happened today/the last few days. On one extreme, there is a chance Arnold didn't make a single phone call and rejected every incoming call and refused to try to improve the roster. On the other extreme, he offered a package of Made, Pena, Pratt, and Mis for any shortstop on every other team's roster. The truth is somewhere between those two extremes but you are all upset and acting like the truth is very close to the first thing I said, and unless you have some inside info you would like to tell the class, I find it peculiar that you would allow yourself to get worked up over a narrative you are creating.

    But you are getting upset over a hypothetical. You don't know if acquiring anyone improves our odds. I would have liked to address the infield as well. But we got Schoop and it made us worse. We got Chafin and it made us worse. How do we know Gasser doesn't pitch well enough to push Miz to the pen and our pen dominates? How do we know acquiring a new 3rd baseman doesn't push Durbin to second and Turang to short and makes our defense 8% worse overall? It is okay to be disappointed in today's outcome but to make 614 posts about how the organization and team failed us over something that you can't prove until the season is over seems a little overkill. You are preaching over a hypothetical.

    I agree with you but I'm putting an asterisk on this ... lot of DFAs and roster shuffling incoming around the league. I would have loved a bonafide stud as well, but there should be some options that are more the Brewers fancy (low cost) hitting the market for us to look at shortly.

    We could have added a prime Walter Johnson to this roster for free and people would have been mad we didn't address the hot dog prices in the 3rd base concourse at the deadline...

    I secretly enjoy it as well. Same as Packers FA ... everyone knows what is about to happen but get all worked up over the dreams of what could be, then explode of what never is. I feel bad a little for them.

    I know it was never going to happen with Miller... but there were about 18 minutes last week when I dreamt of adding Mason Miller and then moving Miz to the pen and we would close down every game with Uribe, Miz, Megill, Miller. It would have been the most must watch bullpen configuration of all time.

    You know the first two wins of this series were demoralizing for the Cubs because they weren't competitive games.. But this one is actually going to send them into panic mode when we come back. This one will hurt the worst.

    There is a point where it just isn't working in your org and you have to cut bait, even if that means he flourishes elsewhere. It isn't exactly the same .. but if Hiura had taken off somewhere else and became a very good big league bat - I would have been happy for him.

    Just as we all suspected, this is turning into an easy contract tender decision for Vaughn and we will have a 'cheap' first baseman next year.
