    Ebel with 4 more walks. What in the actual heck. Folks that have watched Carolina play ... does he just hack his way to 10 pitch at bats that the pitcher gives in to or do they refuse to throw him strikes? According to my math that is 69/335 -> 20.6% bb rate?!

    Just logging in - was at a USMNT watch party. I see the play by play and it looks like Garrett Mitchell is arriving. Man if he and Sal are figuring it out ... once Turang and Yelich remember what they are doing we are going to be a tough out. Can someone give me a real quick synopsis of how Drohan looked? I see the numbers..

    Obviously I want the Cubs to lose every game they play ... but I still hold the position I want them well in contention after the All Star break so they dish out some prospects at the deadline. The Brewers should be on the phone right now with Detroit saying "Listen, we don't actually want Skubal but it is either LA or CHI who will end up getting him and we just want to make sure you get the best trade package possible ... so keep up informed and we will keep the price rising."

    Frias being there is crazy. This feels like Made all over again ... having a DSL kid on the list (I know he graduated up)... I don't have access - how many other DSL players are on the list if any?

    I'm crossing my fingers this can be the Sproat we get moving forward. 5 innings plus of decent to good pitching. The season really settled and 'advanced' this spring when Drohan and Patrick moved to the pen and provided so much coverage that we were not extending all of the other arms back there. With Henderson coming back to the rotation, if Sproat can consistently just give us innings and be a relatively reliable 5th starter ... Drohan to the pen should give us so much more coverage that we can utilize everyone else in the roles they are needed and not have to have days where "I guess it is Anderson and Kuhnel and a handful of hope tonight..."

    The poor Reds. I don't know the updated stat but their records against the NL Central is like 4-18 or something like that. They have won just under 60% of their games this year against non-division foes or thereabouts.

    It must be such a sneaky cool thing for these guys to move around and 'find each other' again. Fischer and Adamczewski start with the TRats and move to Biloxi and hit the ground running. A few weeks later one of their buddies Ragsdale shows up and he is now a part of it. I'm sure it won't be long before some or all of Payne, Bitonti, Hall, Owens, Pena, Dinges, etc have found their way south and the band will all be back together. I know they are in Spring Training with the whole crew and everything... but these are their guys this year. Must be a fun reunion when someone else gets called up to rejoin you. Brotherhood within the brotherhood.

    This is a good thought. Good way to utilize the DH quirk by adding some innings to the bullpen now by making that roster spot a shuttle position while not exactly taking Gasser completely out of the rotation.

    By my count, when Andrew Vaughn starts the Brewers are 21-12 on the year (.636%). When he doesn't start they are 7-4 (.636%). So by the logic above the Brewers are no better as a team when Vaughn starts vs when he is on the bench, correct? Or are there MANY other outside factors that play into 9 innings of a game that pinning success on one player is a little crazy?
