  1. I wouldn't mind seeing the Brewers go after Brandon McCarthy and/or Anibal Sanchez. I think both of them could fill in nicely as the 2/3. I'd prefer Sanchez out of the two.
  2. I just looked up Jose Quintana's stats, and I don't see why you wouldn't take him? He's 23 years old w/ a minor league career 2.76 ERA, 1.167 whip and more strikeouts than innings pitched. In his first taste of the big leagues he has a 2.58 ERA w/ a 1.057 whip in 76.2 innings. Is it because he's not striking out as many guys in the majors? Or becuase his average fastball velocity is only 90mph? http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=quinta001jos
  3. I agree. I'm not sure how he was behind Mclendon and Chulk on the depth chart. There must be something about him they dont' like.
  4. Yes, click on the poster you wish to ignore's name and then add them as your foe, I also had to look this up recently.
  5. I don't think anyone thinks its probable, but I definitely think its possible that he could re-sign w/ the Brewers. A lot more possible than either Prince or Sabathia was.
  6. I'd also like to see Burgos added to the 40 man, and given a callup in September. He's been unbelievable this season. I'd like to see a rotation of : Gallardo Marcum Fiers Peralta Thornburg w/ Rogers, Burgos, Estrada coming out of the BP.
  7. I hope Burgos gets a September callup to see what we have. I'm very intrigued by him, and wonder if he's changed something to have this breakout season.
  8. I would be really pumped if we got Profar or Machado, they both looked like potential superstar players in the futures game, and have put up some pretty nice numbers so far in the minors.
  9. Money talks w/ a lot of free agents. Also, the fact that we would still have Braun, Weeks, Lucroy, Aoki, Gallardo means that we are still going to have a chance to contend.
  10. If we make a trade w/ Texas and they won't include Profar, I hope we target Luis Sardinas as part of the deal. He's a 19 year old SS who was highly touted out of Venezuela and is batting .306/.361/.349 in A ball. He's had some injury issues his first two seasons but is supposed to be a great defender who has a lot of potential. I'm thinking something like Martin Perez, Justin Grimm and Sardinas.
  11. Jean Segura the SS from Anaheim sounds like a pretty good prospect. I wouldn't mind getting him as the centerpiece along w/ a couple of other prospects like CJ Cron.
  12. I'd be ok w/ that. What do the Brewers have to lose by doing that?
  13. X-TAI, I'm guessing you know Burgos. Could you please give us a detailed scouting report on him? Also, has he changed something from last season to this season that has helped him have this great of a year? Thanks.
  14. So when does Burgos get the bump to Nashville? I think 83 dominating innings at AA is enough to justify it.
  15. Sorry about that last post, I meant to edit it and pressed quote instead. How do you delete a post?
  16. I'd like to see them go w/ a depth chart of: Jennings/Udrih/Lamb Ellis/Dunleavy/Lamb Harris/Mbah a Moute Ersan/Henson Dalembert/Udoh/Sanders I really like all 10 of those guys, and they all bring different aspects to the game. I hope they are able to trade Gooden, because I'd much rather see Henson, Udoh and possibly even Sanders get all of the backup 4/5 minutes. The only things I wouldn't mind are a 3rd C like Nazr Mohammed, and maybe a 3rd string backup 2/3 like Raja Bell, that wouldn't expect minutes but would bring some vet leadership and fill in incase of injury.
  17. I've also watched a couple of the games, and I'm very impressed by Harris, Lamb and Henson. It's exciting that Harris just turned 20 this week, I think he's going to be a very good player.
  18. I agree, I'll be very happy if Gooden is not on the roster next year. He has become my least favorite player.
  19. I've also seen Perry Jones, Terrence Jones, Terrence Ross, John Henson and Jeremy Lamb as possiblities for the 12th pick. I have always loved Tyler Zeller's game, and also really like Jeremy Lamb from UCONN, I think both would be good picks.
  20. I agree, I don't want the Bucks to draft Leonard. I'd love to see the Bucks draft either Zeller or Rivers. I think a Udoh/Zeller front court would be very solid.
  21. I love what I've seen from him so far. He's made a few mistakes at first, but I think he's going to be one of our better players for the next few years.
  22. I started training for a half marathon last week, and I play soccer competitively pretty much year round. Last time I trained for a half marathon, I found myself feeling much slower on the soccer field, I'm guessing partially due to tired legs. Does anyone have any tips on exercises to help keep my speed up on the field, while still training for a half marathon?
  23. I don't know, Fontenot's defensive numbers at SS seemed pretty impressive last season. I've also read a few articles saying that he performed surprisingly well, while never having to play a lot of innings there in his career. Also, Izturis has never really played 2b in his career.
  24. Hopefully the Brewers get him. I'd definitley prefer Fontenot over Izturis.
