  1. The post by sveumrules shows how the Brewers would use Bell. Basically use him as a platoon against RHP at DH and a platoon at 1B against LHP.
  2. Something like Valerio and Gray would be the most I would go for Bell.

  4. I just tried on desktop using dark mode it also happens there. It seems as though it loads the light version when switching categories in the forums. Using the latest Chrome version on desktop.
  5. Both on wi-fi and 4g/5g. I just tried using wi-fi and 4g/5g it comes up using both. It seems like it is a transition between loading forums. It is not as noticeable on an Android as it is on an iPhone.
  6. I have noticed in dark mode when viewing on an iPhone using Safari I am getting a flash of white when changing forums or topics. Sometimes it won't happen at all on going from one forum to the next but it always happens when going from one thread to the next. There will be a strong flash like my screen is taking a picture it is that bright sometimes other times it is a light grey but most of the time it is a bright white flash before the topic loads. It happens on Android also using Chrome but the flash is not as bright.
  7. Probably in Europe.
  8. They don't really need another bat but a dependable CF is something they Yankees do need. After King went down with his injury the #1 option is getting a few more relief pitchers.
  9. The ever popular Whit Merrifield could also be a target though I don't think he has played much CF lately either. Merrifield had a horrible start to the year but since June he has been normal Merrifield.
  10. We as American's have been lucky enough to enjoy the freedom of movement. I don't want to see that go anywhere anytime soon. It is just not economical for what you are saying for the majority of the people. Even with the higher gas prices now it is far more economical to keep an ICE car over getting an EV. EV's need to extend their range by another 150-200 miles before they become economically viable for everyone. Right now EV's are just niche vehicles. If I got a EV vehicle I would have to recharge almost every night as it would be about half the range of the EV just for me to go back and forth to work one day.
  11. You missed one #28 Spencer Jones (RF).
  12. You underestimate the power of idiots.
  13. I haven’t been excited about a comic in awhile other than Berzerker but this looks and sounds amazing! https://rippaverse.com
  14. That isn't even the worst part about electric cars. The current infrastructure would collapse in on itself if 20% of the population switched to electric cars. There are not enough charging stations and we don't have enough nuclear plants to meet the demand. Instead of paying high prices at the gas pump you will be paying higher prices for electricity that is if you are not in the middle of a blackout. Electric cars are a good idea but we don't have the infrastructure nor the means to produce enough electricity to keep the electric cars going. Since our current government has decided that nuclear bad but we can build wind and solar. Wind and solar can not provide enough unless you are willing to also build more natural gas refineries but that is also not an option.
  15. This is the fourth-straight month that inflation has gone higher than the estimates. Inflation is currently sitting at 9.1%. Inflation increased by 1.3% compared to an estimated 1.1%. It looks like inflation should reach 10%. But the real question here is how high will it go? We are also starting to get into the danger area with inflation. The FED and the current administration didn’t act quickly enough and ignored the warning signs.
  16. In Arizona in the summer it is preferable to be in the house. But I listen to all of the games when working as most are on when I am working still or when driving home.
  17. Keith Law has his latest mock out and he has the Brewers taking: https://theathletic.com/3413419/2022/07/11/mlb-mock-draft-2022-orioles/
  18. I think he is an interesting prospect but he looks to be a late round pick somewhere around 8th-10th round.
  19. Another name to watch is Vanderbilt’s Spencer Jones. He is flying up teams draft boards comps to Judge when he was drafted by the Yankees.
  20. Also new this year the draft-and-follow is returning for any player drafted after the 10th round. A player who is drafted after the 10th round and they go to a JUCO they can be designated as a draft-and-follow player. The team will also have to sign the player before the 2023 draft. If the team doesn't sign the player before the 2023 draft that pick is then forfeited so if a player does well in JUCO they can refuse to sign and reenter the draft. The amount the player signs for will still count against the $225k slot. I believe this would count against the draft that they were drafted in so for teams that do draft-and-follow may not spend all of their draft pool. But then again if the player is going to significantly go over the $225k slot value then they are probably going to re-enter the draft.
  21. Very weak for college pitchers. Seems to be a top heavy draft where most of the talent is but this is true for nearly every MLB draft. This draft seems to be very hitter heavy but that isn't really out of the norm for most drafts for MLB. There is a lot of value from the 2nd-5th round in this draft. High School players are ranked higher in this draft but there are a lot of tough signs so a team would have to be willing to go over slot to get some. Overall I think this is just an average draft class for MLB though Druw Jones and Elijah Green look to be good superstar like talent. There is also a lot of former MLB players kids in this draft which is weird and also making me feel old as CC Sabathia's son is also in this draft though he is currently unranked and is committed to Georgia Tech as a 1B/3B. I think I am going to change my pick to Sterlin Thompson 3B (Florida). He has a lot of power in his bat but it hasn't shown up during games. I think this is someone that the Brewers will pick to see if they can fix his timing issues and tap into that raw power. Thompson is also someone who can play all over the field which is the type of player that the Brewers have been targeting as of late in trades.
  22. Beck has a problem with being impatient and will take overly aggressive hacks. Basically he is a clone of Hunter Renfroe. Beck has less holes in his swing compared to Melendez. Melendez’s issue with his swing is that it is a bit slow. Both have K issues but I would be less concerned with Beck’s than I would be with Melendez’s.
  23. You haven't read what the author is talking about. He is not talking about trickle down theory in fact it doesn't even exist. From Thomas Sowell's book Basic Economics: “’Trickle down’ has been a characterization and rejection of what somebody else supposedly believed.” But “no recognized economist of any school of thought has ever had any such theory or made any such proposal. It is a straw man. It cannot be found in even the most voluminous and learned histories of economic theories.”
  24. Neither of those links prove it to be wrong. They are just talking about the estimates and are talking about the deficit. You actually have to decrease spending in order to decrease the deficit which apparently our government officials don't understand. The basis behind cutting tax rates is to discourage people from investing in tax havens. If you lower the rate enough to where the tax havens are not as profitable there is more revenue coming in as people will tend to pay the taxes because the other investment opportunities pay more. When you get more people paying taxes you will get a higher revenue stream. Please read "Trickle Down" Theory and "Tax Cuts for the Rich" by Thomas Sowell. https://www.hoover.org/sites/default/files/uploads/documents/Sowell_TrickleDown_FINAL.pdf
  25. Thomas Sowell proved this in one of his books. https://www.aei.org/carpe-diem/thomas-sowell-on-the-relationship-between-tax-rates-and-tax-revenues/
