  1. MLB is already working on a streaming service for in market games. Which should be ready by 2023 and I wouldn't be surprised if somehow the other streaming services are also included in this. Basically would just be a channel you can add and pay for. Bally Sports is also supposed to have a streaming option you can pay for at some point in 2022 or 2023. 2022 will more than likely be all buggy and probably won't work all that well. I don't watch many games on TV so not having that as an option is fine by me. I prefer listening to baseball on the radio as it is the best sport to listen to on the radio.
  2. LOL 25 hours and $5 extra for 150 hours? I get unlimited for free with YouTube TV. But you keep on doing you and paying for that horrible customer service. We will see you in 2-years from now when you are again complaining about how they won't bring the price down for you.
  3. The Witcher Season 2 is out today! If you are into books and you like the genre it is definitely a good read. Also the final season of the Expanse has started another good book read also.

    Pizza

Why is it that majority of pizzas in WI and other states are these horrible thin crust pizzas. I absolutely hate them. I will take a Chicago deep dish pizza over that horrible thin crust junk. That isn't even pizza it is just crackers with pizza toppings!
  5. You probably checked to many boxes on what they wanted or not enough take your pick. If it was a corporate job they are probably looking for someone who is overly experienced or not experienced at all even though they probably had something like 3-5 years of experience required. Corporations are still treating everyone like it is 2008 when there wasn't a shortage in labor and they could get people who were overqualified but yet pay them the same rate as someone who has no experience. The tables have flipped now but the large corporate jobs are struggling to change their ways as they are just stuck in 2008 still. I can't decide what is worse in corporate America is it IT or is it HR. They are both bad but I think corporate HR is over taking corporate IT here in uselessness.
  6. The biggest issue and it varies from county to county and state to state is the exclusivity rights that have been granted to cable companies. For example only company A can lay down new or maintain existing fiber lines in region A while company B can lay down new or maintain existing fiber lines in region B. This is the dumbest thing that has happened and is hindering consumers. A board to rule over price increases will not help all that much as the state or county already know the costs and would just approve the increase anyways. The government also needs to stop giving exclusivity rights away to companies that maintain and create the new fiber lines. One thing that would help in price would be to remove these exclusive rights from the companies and allow more companies to use the fiber lines and to sell that access. It would allow for more competition and when there is more competition the consumer wins normally. There are times when there is too much competition and the product degrades or becomes lesser and the consumer starts to lose as the product becomes less and less valuable. Even Google wasn't able to break the exclusivity rights away from the cable companies so I have very little faith in this happening and I think Amazon was looking to do the same and they also gave up on the idea of doing this. Though I think Elon is far more stubborn and won't quit on something like this.
  7. Comcast now allowing YouTube TV as an option for their Xfinity broadband customers. https://variety.com/2021/digital/news/comcast-youtube-tv-xfinity-flex-1235129412/ Probably going to see more of this as the cable companies turn from cable and internet to just broadband only.
  8. You don't need to care when your company is a legal monopoly. You either pay and deal with them or you don't there is no incentive for them to change when they don't have to. It is also why cable companies can change their prices to whatever they wish even if it doesn't make sense at all.
  9. You may have to go to a digital signal or just use DVD as the coax cable is almost dead. Cable companies are going with wifi boxes now with no coax option.
  10. Good plan, except you can't watch Brewers games on mlbtv, in market that is. Well may be not for 2022 but for 2023 it may be possible. https://nypost.com/2021/10/17/mlb-in-talks-to-launch-nationwide-streaming-service-for-home-games/
  11. NFT's are probably going to be needed for the metaverse. I know the sandbox is technically a metaverse but I see it more like AOL than the next internet of things. The metaverse is basically the next internet or so the theory goes. The metaverse will need things like NFT's to function properly I am just not sold on it being a NFT it maybe something else that hasn't come up yet or is just in development.
  12. Also a fellow graduate in Finance and I am finally using my degree to do Finance stuff. Well sort of I do all of the tech stuff now for a finance team but I do get to help with some of the finance stuff. This new position I lucked into only hired me because I have all this experience in Alteryx, R, SAS, Python and Tableau as the people who were helping them out left the company. Also if you graduated within the last couple of years with a degree in finance and have some tech skills in Python or R you would get hired really quickly. The company I am working for is basically sending people with no experience in finance at all to fintech classes all the time and also project management especially for AGILE certifications mostly as SCRUM or SCRUM Masters. Those are the two things most banks are looking for right now. Basically SCRUM and SCRUM masters to lead the projects for the fintech's that the company is having a hard time filling.
  13. I liked the new Venom movie but that is me. I would like just about anything with Venom in it. Probably my second favorite comic book character behind Deadpool. If you are not really into the MCU or comic books probably best to stay away. I watched Dune last weekend and I loved it but I can see why most wouldn't like this movie. It takes awhile to get into the movie and it ends about half way through the book. Action is rather light until about the end of the movie. I guess I am just a sucker for sci-fi movies.
  14. Reading this article brought a real smile to my heart. As someone who graduated college in 2008 and spent essentially the next 4 years trying to find a job I can totally related to being on the other side and being treated the same way. Well, well, well. How the turntables... I really hate slate but there is that rare one in a billion chance that I agree with the premise that they have but the drivel that comes after it is just uggg. Companies have been doing this for a long time now and still do. The generic rejection letters where they don't even have your name correct on them to an HR rep who completely disappears. I have been offered jobs in the past where I have sent an email or called the HR rep I would be accepting then weeks or even months later I finally get the generic response of sorry that position is no longer open. I have even had one call me a year later and asked if I was still interested in the job. The worst HR is definitely AMEX whenever an HR rep contacts me about a position there they never send an active link to the position. I have to actually dig for the actual link to the job or I have to reply to the email about four or five times until I get a link I can actually use. Not sure I would even accept a job at AMEX their HR department seems very poor.
  15. At least they are being honest about it instead of just using some filler words to cover up what they are actually saying.
  16. YouTube TV free trial
  17. You could get a Amazon Fire TV Recast. They are about $250 and they usually come in a pack of two. This will allow you to DVR over the air and there are some cheaper options also.
  18. Dune looks ok. Though I will probably just watch that on HBO at home. The new Venom movie looks decent. Other than that it is the Matrix and the new Spider-Man movie. Everything else not really excited about really.
  19. It is because it competes with their imaginary money.
  20. I have been watching Heels on Starz. So far it has been good, I like the characters and the wrestling and the drama kind of bring back some nostalgia from the 80's and 90's.
  21. Block chain which is the same as crypto is being incorporated into every single major bank in the US and there is a reason for this. Block chain is far more secure than what the banks are using now. Even the closed networks like the one American Express has is not as secure as block chain is. There are also some small benefits to cost saving by going to block chain. Crypto is still in its infancy and is still growing. I don't believe this is the final state of crypto. What crypto will look like in 10-years is still fairly unknown it could change completely from a currency to a financial instrument where credit is tied to. There are a lot of different avenues that crypto could go down.
  22. It is no different than investing in any other stock out there. While we can't make more gold on our planet we can definitely mine it on asteroids and possibly other planets like Mars. So while gold has a big protective moat right now that may not be true in the future how far in the future I have no idea.
  23. I am really liking the coin Cardano and that is my new long coin to hold. Currently trading under $3 a coin.
  24. So you are saying it is like WCW back in da day?
  25. Have been listening to Morgan Wade a bit lately.
