  1. Weeks must have surgically removed the baseball magnet and placed it in him? CONSPIRACY!!!!!!
  2. Cardinals gave up Malcom Nunez (10) and Johan Oviedo for Quintana and Stratton. Not a bad return but not great either.
  3. Braves trade Will Smith to the Astros for Jake Odorizzi. Both former Brewers.
  4. This is a really good trade especially with only giving up Mark Mathias. Ok not as great of a trade with Kelly also going to the Rangers.
  5. McCutchen has a 101 WRC+ you don't just throw away 101 WRC+ players it is just dumb roster management. He is only not the worst in OPS that would be Narvaez and Taylor. McCutchen has also been the 6th best hitter in the 2nd half so far with an .832 OPS. McCutchen does not need to be replaced.

  7. I guess that is better than nothing for the Cardinals. They have been left holding the bag on Montas and Castillo. They probably didn't give up anyone special for him which from the rumors is that the Cardinals are not willing to give up their top prospects in any of the deals they were trying to do including for Soto.
  8. Yelich should really be playing DH and not LF.
  9. LOL no. McCutchen has been one of the better hitters on the Brewers. Removing McCutchen would make this team worse not better. McCutchen should be the everyday LF over Yelich at least there maybe a couple plays at the plate on throws unlike just send it it is Yelich noodle arm in LF with the runner being safe by 10 feet.

  11. If they can go 2-4 or even 1-5 they could still pull it out and make the playoffs in the AFC North. They would have to go either 10-1 or 9-2 in their final 11 games. Not impossible as their final 3-games are against Saints, @Washington and @Steelers. So if they go 1-5 in their first 6 games and then go 9-2 the rest of the way that is a 10-7 record which should put them in the playoff picture. They could go 3-3 also with three very winnable games against the Steelers, Panthers and Falcons. You could even put the Jets as a possible toss up and the Browns could go 4-2 to start the season only losing to the Patriots and Chargers. The first 6 games actually plays rather well for the Browns. But it is the Browns so they will probably go 1-5 or 0-6. If they go 0-6 they basically can only lose 1 game of their final 11 games. But still at worst they are going to finish around 7-10 which would put their pick in the 10-15 range.
  12. The Mets have balked at the prospect of giving up a top 10 prospect for Bell. The Orioles had to settle for the Astros 12 ranked prospect and an unranked prospect from the Rays who will also have TJ surgery this year in the Mancini trade. That is a rather light trade for Mancini. I think the Nationals if they want to get something for Bell are looking at a similar type of trade. I am not sure if it is the Mets or the Brewers who will give that up but the Red Sox are also looking at the same return for Martinez. I think the Mets go with Martinez over Bell which then leaves the Jays and Brewers vying for Bell. I think the Jays may prefer Cruz over Bell as he will cost even less than Bell. I think Narvaez stays with the Brewers. I don't think the offers that the Brewers received were all that good if they were he would be gone but there is still time left for a trade to occur. I believe the Brewers add another bat like Bell or Martinez or maybe Gallo. With the acquisition today I think Gallo is less likely to happen. I don't see the Brewers trading for another reliever I think they got who they wanted already. I think Hiura will also be traded either in a package for Bell or sent to the Rays, Mets or Blue Jays.
  13. Braves have signed Austin Riley to a 10-year deal at $212m. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/08/braves-sign-austin-riley-to-ten-year-extension.html
  14. I don't believe Hall has signed at least it doesn't show up on the official MLB page. The MLB page has both Wagoner and Adams signing so I think the MLB page is correct and he hasn't signed yet.
  15. Well it is a 3-team deal now with the Rays getting Jose Siri. Final players in the deal: Rays: Siri Orioles: Seth Johnson and Chayce McDermott Astros: Mancini and Jayden Murray
  16. It is clancy he wanted to play Braun at SS that should be all that needs to be said about clancy and his weird obsession of playing players at their worst possible defensive position.

  18. Sweet another player not going to the Cardinals. The Cardinals really need a starting pitcher and they have missed out so far on all that were available for trade.
  19. He is a better CF than he is at 2B.
  20. What if the Brewers are just shedding payroll to pickup Ohtani or Soto? Would be an interesting strategy.
  21. It is hard to tell which one is which as the MLB site has him as an OF so I went off of that one. Quick edit this is what I am going off of: https://www.mlb.com/prospects/2020/padres/esteury-ruiz-665923
  22. Hmmm the MLB site has him listed as an OF in their system. Still it only brings the value up to about 11.
  23. Are you sure? The other Ruiz is listed as a 2B at 4.7 unless they have the positions incorrect but it is impossible to tell which one is which. Everything I have seen Esteury Ruiz is listed as an OF and not an INF.
  24. Ruiz probably replaces Davis on the 40-man and on the active roster. Either Davis is removed or Alex Jackson/Pedro Severino. I think Jackson is probably the most likely candidate. Hiura being traded is also a strong possibility. As for the trade this wouldn't be accepted on the BTS. Seems very underwhelming but I am guessing the Brewers are high on Gasser and Ruiz.
