  1. He didn't get a good lead at first and the ball didn't pop away all that far from the catcher. If he ran he would of been out by a lot with the lead he had.
  2. Conspiracy theory...... Apple is checking to see if Siri is activated on your iPhone. If it is it repeats the stats if not it sends a signal to Apple.
  3. Something about an issue that popped up in pre-game that was bothering him previously and won't be playing today. I thought that was Gurendo. Possibly could be. I am always getting those two confused.
  4. Something about an issue that popped up in pre-game that was bothering him previously and won't be playing today.
  5. Allen looks like he should be the starting RB.
  6. The unwillingness to use Ferguson in the red zone other than as a distraction is infuriating. I am convinced that PC is just a moron when it comes to red zone offense and TE's. Stop using Ferguson in just the middle of the field in the end zone. If you are going to just have him run routes in the middle put him in the slot a few times. Run some fades with your big bodied TE.
  7. The State Farm commercials really make Mahomes and Rodgers look like real entitled butt holes. Just saying.
  8. I just don't see 1B as a critical position to find someone to play at. Tellez can hold down the fort at 1B as there are going to be other options that may not even be on the team right now who can put up enough value where trading for someone like Olson or Mountcastle just isn't worth it. Because you are not giving up as many cost controlled years. At 3-years the value is there to pick up someone like Olson and trade away years of control. The value of trading the years of control you have for someone like Mitchell for 3-years of Mitchell is not as bad as trading away those years for only 2-years of control that extra year has a lot of value.
  9. I think the matchups were really good for Houser and he was dealing and not missing his spots all that much so I think that is why CC stuck with him over someone else. Ashby and Peralta were also getting ready to come in during the 8th. Also with Burnes going 6 innings that helped in bridging the gap. I am assuming if Burnes only goes 5 innings Houser gets the 6th and 7th and then Peralta or Ashby for the 8th depending on the matchups. I think the Brewers go with Ashby if Woodruff needs help tomorrow but hopefully Woodruff can go 6 or 7 innings tomorrow so the bullpen can be rested still. Going through game 1 and only using 2 bullpen pitchers is pretty good and setting the team up to use everyone if they have to tomorrow. Even though the Braves didn't win their bullpen is still in good shape also.
  10. I just started watching and that purple background on the CF batters eye is that just a graphic or did they put that up there? That would be a horrible batters eye if it is not a graphic on TV.
  11. YouTube TV free trial
  12. You could get a Amazon Fire TV Recast. They are about $250 and they usually come in a pack of two. This will allow you to DVR over the air and there are some cheaper options also.
  13. The Athletic has an article up about the experiment of the pitch clock in Low A-west. It decreased the game times by 21 minutes. Also looks like it is the hitters who are going to have to adjust the most well it is a good thing that Braun isn't in the league anymore as he would take like 5-min just to get ready to bat. That will have to be cut down also to see any significant impact. Also the 3 batter minimum is more than likely going to go away as the managers are not happy with it and the desired effect that MLB was looking for is actually doing the opposite. The 3 batter minimum has actually increased the game times and there have been just as many if not more pitching changes late even with this rule change. Also the batters haven't seen much of a difference as LHP still are coming in a majority of the time only facing LHB. I believe the stats haven't changed either on this. So everything that MLB tried to do with the 3 batter minimum has done actually hurt everything they have been trying to fix. https://theathletic.com/news/minor-league-pitch-clock-cut-game-times-by-21-minutes-in-2021/P9gjgRqcHZeR
  14. If it was just the Rays money then sure but the Rays are pocketing the revenue sharing and not even including it in their financials. So basically the Rays are using the revenue sharing money as bonuses to the owners instead of what it is meant for which is for improving the team either through the minors, stadium, or salaries. This is what the owners are mad about at least the small market teams at least from the rumors that have come out. I wouldn't be surprised to see some rule changes to revenue sharing and what teams can and can not spend it on and how it has to be reported to the league. That $100m minimum cap was aimed at the Rays.
  15. If the Brewers have a game 6 or 7 in the World Series I wouldn't expect anything under $1500 you may get SRO for $1200 but more than likely you will be paying close to $2000 a ticket for the upper level. If the Brewers play the White Sox ouch that is going to be an expensive ticket probably something like $1500 just for the nosebleed seats. SRO will probably be around $1000 also.
  16. I still believe MLB missed their opportunity where they should have moved the Rays to Miami and moved the Marlins to Montreal. The Rays in Miami would sell out while the Marlins barely sell out at all. Also the Rays owners have supposedly pissed off a lot of the other MLB owners especially the smaller market teams that have been investing their shared revenue by improving their MLB teams by using that money to increase payroll while the Rays have been mostly pocketing the money. It is one of the reasons why the $100m minimum cap was leaked to the media. Some of the small market teams are not happy with the Rays ownership right now and I wouldn't be surprised to see a vote where they force the Rays owners to sell at some point in the future especially if they get a new stadium and don't commit to spending. If the owners are not able to convince or force a sale get ready for a salary cap minimum to be set at some point. I think the salary cap minimum is going to be part of the new collective bargaining along with the DH to the NL and one or two more playoff teams. The salary cap minimum will be the owners concession to the players to add another playoff team or two. I believe the owners will take away a teams revenue sharing and probably bonus slot money for the draft and international signing. As much as MLB likes what the Rays are doing on the field they hate them even more business wise.
  17. Must have been looking at someone else or remembering someone else and thought it said DSL and not ACL. Was looking at it from my phone so that is my excuse.
  18. With all due respect, where else would they send him next year? Arizona rookie league. He pitched in the DSL this year. Going from the DSL to AFL is interesting as that is a large jump from the type of competition he was facing previously. His highest level has been the rookie leagues. So if he is going to the AFL the team may see him as a candidate to be in low A at some point next year. He could also be placed in instructional until the rookie league starts up. But I think they probably keep him at extended spring training and then move him to low A at some point.
  19. Interesting to see Zhao getting the selection. I wonder if that means the Brewers are looking to bring him to low A at some point next year?
  20. I wouldn't trade for either Mountcastle or Olson. Before this season started sure for Olson but now that he has 1 less year of control no thanks. I would rather run with Tellez at 1B than trade for Olson unless it is a Turang for Olson. That is all I would give up for Olson and I doubt the A's would be interested in a one for one swap or even be interested in Turang. If I am trading Mitchell or anyone else really I want more control than what Olson is bringing and I would prefer someone that isn't a 1B.
  21. I’m not sure of current rules, but it used to be that an organization was only allowed one guy that was below AA as of Aug 1. We also don’t know which positions were designated as priorities for the Brewers. I think that rule has been removed and all players are now eligible except those who are on their home country's reserve team in the winter ball leagues.
  22. This has always been the case as people will always gravitate towards the tribe that represents them the best. Not much of a difference between now and then.
  23. Are we at the point where the finger needs to be pointed at the coaching staff now? The same problems keep on coming up every single game. The play calling is an extremely simplistic version of a high school playbook. The offensive line seems to be getting worse as the season is going on giving the QB no chance at doing anything positive or negative. The offensive line is even poor at run blocking. Why is this happening? This appears to be a coaching problem as the recruiting has been really good. The recruiting is coming together and has been really good but the player development side is just awful unless the player is on the defensive side of the game. I don't believe there is a single player on the offensive side of the ball that has improved since coming to the program. The best player on the offensive right now in Ferguson hasn't improved and is still the same player he was last season if anything he has regressed. This all screams to me as a leadership problem on the offensive side of the team. This is all on PC he is failing at getting his coaches on the offensive side to develop the players. The offensive line has regressed, WR lol what are those is basically what the team thinks of that position, TE, RB and QB are all significantly worse since the 90's. The talent is there except at WR and maybe RB where the team shouldn't be playing this bad. I don't expect them to be undefeated but they could have won at least two of the games against Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State. Right now it looks like this team will barely win more than 5-games this year. The talent that the team has at QB, offensive line and tight end shouldn't be playing this bad. This is all on the coaching staff and their failure to develop these players. PC needs to be fired but they won't do that instead they will just try and push him out and see if PC will instead leave for something else so they won't have to pay him. Hopefully the team can recruit someone with an offensive mind that can get around run ball up middle run ball left run ball right throw ball to 5-yard routes over and over again. There are other coaches out there that are running far more complicated schemes with lesser skilled players so don't tell me it is the players who can't run the scheme. If the players can't run the scheme then that is exactly a coaching problem. That is the job of the coach is to make them ready to run the plays and if the players are failing to run the plays that is on the coaches because they are failing to get them to run the plays correctly. This is not rocket science if the players can't run the plays then the coaches you know need to do their job and coach them up so they are able to run the plays.
