  1. There definitely weren't the normal corporate outings. There were zero available where I worked for the Dbacks. I can usually get one or three games a year in the corporate box here. This year they didn't buy any tickets and next year is unknown if they will renew the corporate box.
  2. At least the play calling was a little bit better. PC finally figured out you can run from something other than the I formation. Still very little in pre snap motion. Still only running 2 WR max out there which is just confusing and frustrating. Even if you don't have 3 WR you want out there line Ferguson up as a WR. I just don't believe PC is going to make the adjustments needed to take the program to a playoff game unless the season goes 1000% perfect.
  3. Yes the third time and Plesac was the starting pitcher for the Indians for all 3.
  4. Must have been executed or something.
  5. I think there are a lot of cheap receivers out there this week. Callaway, Elijah Moore, Rondale Moore....some decent low cost high ceiling guys if you do the big tournaments. It was the QB's and RB's that were for some strange reason really high in value. Though I did find A. Jones to be under valued and picked him at RB. QB I just went with M. Jones as all of the other price per points were just overly high.
  6. Top 15? Sure maybe at 15 but when you get out of the top 10 there isn't much of a difference between 15-20 as you are just splitting hairs at that point. There really isn't that big of a gap between a 15th ranked farm system and a 20th ranked farm system and it is mostly just opinion based on who the people ranking the prospects like better.
  7. I don't think you understand what projections or probabilities mean. There is context to the probabilities a 10 game lead and having a 90+% probability of making the playoffs is completely different than a 3.5-6.5 game lead and having a 90+% probability. The Yankees still have the higher probability of winning and we can see why the Brewers probability of 98% I believe it was back then is holding true now. Basically the Brewers are at 100% probability of making the playoffs as there are very few scenarios where they don't make the playoffs and even less probable scenarios where they don't win the division. The 2008 Brewers never really had a comfortable lead like they have had this year at 9-10+ games. When the season starts to shorten those 9-10 game leads become very unlikely in losing. The collapse and the other team or teams going on a hot streak becomes less and less likely which means the probability of those things happening is like once in an every 10 or 15 years type of a thing. Even with 5-game leads that can be very unlikely a team catches them and wins depending on how many games are left to play. The probability calculations are also taking into consideration what games the teams have left and who they are playing which gives you the probability of something happening. The probability of the Yankees making the playoffs on August 27th was 97.8% which was taking into account who the Yankees were playing in those final games. Probabilities also don't guarantee anything it is just stating that there is a probability of 97.8% of whatever will happen. That 97.8% probability may still be right even if the Yankees only win the wildcard by 1-game. You are conflating probabilities with something completely different. Again the probability of the Brewers winning the division is showing to be correct and there was no need to even panic in August like you were. You need to take these things in with the other variables that were out there a 10-game lead with 30 games left to play is completely different than a 3.5-6.5 game lead with 30 games left to play. You also have to take into account the Yankees had 3 spots that could win a playoff birth which also increases their probability of making the playoffs. Now that the probability is down to basically 2 spots their probability of making the playoffs has gone down. Probabilities also have nothing to do with enjoyability or comfortable situations. The probabilities are just stating that it is X% probable that X team makes the playoffs nothing more and nothing less.
  8. The Brewers are also the only team in MLB that has a single digit E# for their division right now.
  9. I think Wiemer maybe the next Corey Hart. Hart at 21 at AA .302/.340/.467 The strikeout rate looks to be about the same as Hart. The only thing I am not sure on is if Wiemer has the same profile defensively in the OF as Hart had.
  10. If the Cardinals win tonight their E# will be the same as the Reds but will have played 3 less games than the Reds.
  11. Draft Kings must have changed how they value each player because it is extremely difficult so far this year to pick a good lineup in their cap games.
  12. I have been watching Heels on Starz. So far it has been good, I like the characters and the wrestling and the drama kind of bring back some nostalgia from the 80's and 90's.
  13. Bauer to miss the rest of the season including the playoffs. https://theathletic.com/news/trevor-bauer-to-miss-rest-of-season-after-mlb-mlbpa-extend-leave-again-source/eJ8LvgYxvuW0
  14. [sarcasm]Anything north of Chicago.[/sarcasm]
  15. Block chain which is the same as crypto is being incorporated into every single major bank in the US and there is a reason for this. Block chain is far more secure than what the banks are using now. Even the closed networks like the one American Express has is not as secure as block chain is. There are also some small benefits to cost saving by going to block chain. Crypto is still in its infancy and is still growing. I don't believe this is the final state of crypto. What crypto will look like in 10-years is still fairly unknown it could change completely from a currency to a financial instrument where credit is tied to. There are a lot of different avenues that crypto could go down.
  16. That is the dumbest thing I have heard a head coach say in a long time.
  17. TJ Watt signs extension with Steelers. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/steelers-extend-t-j-watt-on-historic-112m-deal-making-pass-rusher-the-highest-paid-defender-in-the-nfl/
  18. The HR/FB% could just be a difference in park and weather. I thought Carolina was a more difficult hitters park due to the location of the ballpark. But I could be remembering this incorrectly and confusing Carolina with Biloxi.
  19. Yes/No/maybe/it depends. Any of those could be the right answer. There is a massage therapist who has 4 or 5 rings with 2 or 3 different teams. So it is possible.
  20. If the NBA Finals are any indication on how much tickets maybe then I think you are looking at the cheapest seats being something like $800. In Phoenix the cheapest ticket I could find for the NBA Finals was around $900 all the way up on top those usually go for about $20-40 a ticket.
  21. If they could add some bunches to the formation or even line up Ferguson in the slot it would help the offense out a bit more. Right now defenses have just a couple of looks they have to game plan for and that is it. Nearly all of the run plays come from the I formation with a few coming out of the pro set and wishbone. If they could also lineup with just the HB in the backfield and run from that it would give some more looks that the defenses will have to game plan for. Also playing Ferguson away from the line would be a nice option especially closer to the end zone. Ferguson being the biggest target and moving him away from the middle of the field where you can run some fade and even some rub routes with him. The offense is lacking movement and a variety of different plays to run this will help by allowing the team to run more simplified plays for Mertz if that is needed. Right now the offense is way to predictable and defenses can just camp the middle of the field basically nullifying both the running game and Ferguson. If the Badgers want to be anything more than what they were against PSU they will need to improve the play calling on offense.
  22. The TD wasn't Nelson's fault he wasn't supposed to be covering the guy but he was the only one in position to get to him. There was another play that he was the over the top help and he wasn't as deep as he should have been but when 3 players bite on a pump fake and Nelson not being as deep as he should have been that was just a disaster all around.
  23. I think Houser is the one who gets traded but to who I am not sure. The teams that instantly come to mind that need pitching help are the Angels, Red Sox, Yankees, Blue Jays and Padres. I would love to get Groshans from the Blue Jays but the Brewers would have to add in a prospect or two to even out that deal. Groshans would be that young 3B that you could put at 3B in 2023.
