  1. I forgot how annoying setting up Windows is. First I forgot to format the USB stick correctly then I forgot to download the drivers I needed. This is a new PC that I didn’t transfer the SSD to so had to do the USB method. Uggg if I could log into work with Linux I think I would do that instead. Harder but less annoying.
  2. Yeah I thought he was backup with the Brewers but it was Myers called back up and not Patrick. That should learn me to go off of my memory.
  3. That means they would be skipping a Patrick start and Peralta would be on 6-days rest on Friday as Thursday is an off day. Same with Quintana. I am assuming Patrick would be the backup starter or long man on Wednesday or Tuesday? Then he would be back in the rotation the following week against the Cubs? I think you would want to skip Priester’s start against the Cubs so that would matchup.
  4. I think they want to build around Abrams. I wouldn’t be surprised if they try and sign him to a long term deal. But who knows what the new GM will do going forward maybe he doesn’t see Abrams as a centerpiece and trades him. I still think they would want someone better than Pratt as the headliner.
  5. I think the value is right for your trade but I don’t think the Nats accept this. It would have to be someone like Pena or Made over Pratt and I don’t see the Brewers doing that and not should they.
  6. I don’t think the Yankees would give up Rice for Myers. Would need to add in something else.
  7. Both teams say no. Brewers perspective they are giving up too much control for an about a half year rental. For the Dbacks side Myers has looked blah in the majors. I think they would prefer someone else over Myers. Probably someone with less than a year in the majors already. Patrick probably makes more sense for them than Myers.
  8. The 5 year cap hit was $22.5m for the Bucks it is now $20.2m. Explanation from Bobby Marks who is a super genius when it comes to the NBA cap calculations.
  9. That link doesn’t say they are going to trade Suarez. Actually it said nothing at all. Mostly speculation by the journalist than anything else.
  10. I don't think the Dbacks would do this trade. I also don't believe Suarez is even available or will even be traded. The player that will probably be traded or they will try to trade is Lourdes Gurriel Jr.. It is also possible if they are fully out of it they will try and trade is Naylor. I think the Dbacks will keep Suarez and try to resign him in the off season. I believe they think they can keep him long term and possibly move him to DH or 1B going forward. The Dbacks really love Suarez and I think they will prefer to keep him on the team and just take a pick if he does sign with someone else.
  11. I didn't see this posted but Jack Bauer decided to go to Mississippi State and forgo going to the MLB and that is why he was not drafted. https://www.clarionledger.com/story/sports/college/mississippi-state/2025/07/14/jack-bauer-mlb-draft-mississippi-state-baseball/85199243007/
  12. The value of the team increasing has no bearing on signing FA's. The only time you get that value is when you sell and well if the owner is selling they are not picking up a FA. So why even include this? Operating profits sure I get that but team value? The only way to get at that value would be to sell and to sell fully. MLB has rules for borrowing and needs to approve the loans before a team can get one. So borrowing on the teams value isn't really an option other than in an emergency. The most recent team to do a loan were the Padres and it was for $50mm for payroll in 2023. I don't believe MLB would allow teams to take out a loan just to sign FA's.
  13. I get to work from home today because of a water main break at the building. Have been in the office 100% since March. Feels nice not having to drive to work today.
  14. He didn't look all too happy about it either.
  15. Jackson so far in the summer league is not impressing the Bucks. He may only play if there is an injury or during garbage time only during the season. Jackson is going down the Beauchamp route where he will be traded or released at some point this season. I believe the Bucks were hoping Jackson would show something at the summer league so they could possibly put him in a trade with Kuzma and not have to include a 1st in that trade.
  16. Hey the Rockies did something smart?
  17. The Cardinals are going to get Holliday aren't they?
  18. Depending on how much Kuminga would sign for it could be do able without trading Kuzma but I think his first year would have to be low like really low. Possible but not likely. I think the Warriors want to move on from Kuminga and they have been actively looking for someone to do a sign and trade as Kuminga doesn't fit into their style of play with Curry. Kuminga is more of a shot creator and kind of needs the ball to be helpful and that is the exact opposite of what you want with someone like Curry. He is also not really a fit with the Bucks but right now the Bucks only have Giannis who can somewhat create for himself and that is it. Which means Giannis will get triple teamed a lot. Which for Curry that isn't a problem but for Giannis it is a huge problem. So you need a second shot creator with Giannis. So Kuminga makes sense for the Bucks. The Bucks will need to include a third team and I am not even sure who that would be who would want to take on Kuzma. It sounds like Beal will be signing with the Clippers along with Paul.
  19. The Bucks are looking to do a sign and trade for Kuminga? Would be nice if they could pull it off but no idea how. https://www.si.com/nba/bucks/news/bucks-exploring-blockbuster-trade-with-warriors-for-breakout-forward
  20. Buyout for Micic.
  21. I thought the Brewers had a zero chance against the Dodgers or at least that is what I have been told.
