  1. Could have been worse. Was hoping for a trade or two for some more picks in the 2nd round. I guess they will use the trade exception from the Middleton trade to get someone like Jevon Carter.
  2. I would all be for trading for another 2nd round pick or two in this draft. The 2nd round looks like it should have some interesting players that could fit and play for the Bucks. Kam Jones and John Tonje would be easy fits into the Bucks rotation. The Bucks need another G and preferably a PG so Kam Jones would fit that and John Tonje could fit at SG or SF. He maybe too small to play SF in the NBA. Try and get picks 37 and 40. Take Rocco Zikarsky with the 37th pick, Kam Jones at 40 and then John Tonje at 47. I think that would fill all of the holes that the Bucks have currently.
  3. 130 innings sounds about right. That would be about 130% of his innings pitched last year of 97.1 and if you go with his innings increase from 2023 to 2024 that would put him at 133 innings which is basically the 130 innings.
  4. They could buy a pick which does happen in the later part of the NBA draft.
  5. I told you to skip 28 weeks later.
  6. They may be able to buy a pick. They are going to lose Portis and Porter so they should have some cap flexibility to buy a pick. They may need to trade a future 2nd.
  7. That would be a good pick at 47. I am hoping somehow the Bucks are able to get into the 20-30 range. Not sure how they can do this. I wouldn’t be surprised if they trade Jackson for a pick.
  8. Suarez will cost more than people think as he will probably be the best bat on the market if the Dbacks even put him on the market. There are a few teams with holes at 3B or even DH that will over pay in prospects. I think Suarez cost will be at least 1 5-10 team ranked prospect, 1 15-20, one lottery ticket from the DSL and one AAAA player. That is just not worth it for about a half of a season of Suarez. I don't like McMahon never have and never will. I see him as an overrated player and someone that this board has somehow got a huge crush on. The Rockies won't part with him for the peanuts that have been suggested in trades here. I don't want to see the Brewers trading from their prospect depth unless it is for someone like Sabathia, Greinke or Yelich (the younger version of Yelich). If the Brewers can get a deal that won't cost them top prospects then sure trade for Suarez but I don't believe this will be true. I also don't believe there is a Sabathia, Greinke or Yelich type on the market to trade for. At best you are looking at Suarez who may not even be available. The Dbacks are only 2.5 games back for the final wild card spot. Unless you are willing to give up someone on the roster now for Suarez and no Myers would not be of interest to the Dbacks. Patrick would probably be of more interest to the Dbacks and I think you would have to add in a prospect like Henderson or Adams to make the Dbacks consider a trade. That is just way too much for Suarez.
  9. Yeah that is why I said I expect it to be a college bat. The Brewers have gone left when everyone was thinking they would go right in previous drafts. They do have a lot of middle infield guys but you are only one or two injuries away from not having enough. If the Brewers really like Cunningham I don't see them going away from him just because they have an excess of middle infielders.
  10. I am kind of coming around to Kayson Cunningham being the pick at 20. I spoke with one scout and they believe he is a 55 hit and 60 speed player but he will be a 2B and not a SS. They are not sold on him being able to stick at SS. Also I wouldn’t be disappointed with Xavier Nevens 3B/OF. Tons of power from Nevens. Same scout said easy 60 power for Nevens though they were not all that impressed with his hit tool and gave him a 30 grade there and that is more due to his patience at the plate. Defensively he thinks he could stick at 3B but if he can’t he would make a great RF. He has an absolute cannon for an arm. I am expecting it to be a college bat with the first pick and then HS pick with the Adames comp pick and then another college player with the pick for not signing one of their picks last year.
  11. I loathe team’s retiring numbers. Just put a jersey up in the rafters no need to retire the number unless they are an all time great and even then just put the jersey up there.
  12. 🤮 No thanks on Candelario, I would rather see Bill Hall play 3B than him.
  13. The Thunder did a full tear down at one point. The Bucks haven’t done that ever. It is not really an apples to apples comparison when you are comparing where the Bucks are and where the Thunder are. The Bucks could get to that point but it would require doing something the fans will revolt at. This means trading Giannis if you want a future like the Thunder have now it means doing that. If you are unwilling to make the painful trade then we are stuck where we are. There isn’t an out where the team gets good enough to win another championship with Giannis on the team. Giannis is the only asset the Bucks have that has any meaningful value. Dame with his injury is dead money right now. When he returns he will have a lower value. The Bucks may get a first for Dame but it will be a protected 1st. After Dame and Giannis there is absolutely no one on the Bucks who has any positive value. It feels like I have been complaining about Connaughton for a long time. He has always been a chicken with its head cut off defender. But a lot of people like him because they see him hustling all of the court. The problem with this is that Connaughton puts himself in these positions where he has to go all out because he left his assignment or drifted into the wrong spot on defense. Nearly all of the plays you see Connaughton flying around in were not hustle plays but brain dead decisions made by Connaughton that put him in a bad spot or position. Since he has gotten older he can no longer make up for these mistakes with his athleticism so it is now glaring how bad he has been. The Bucks also never planned for life after Middleton. They never addressed this issue. They addressed the offensive need at the point with Dame. As much as everyone hates the HC Giannis wanted he was running a better offense with the players he had. It is just that Giannis has never been a good pick and roll player. He still looks very uncomfortable on where he should go on a pick and roll. The Bucks have the perfect player to do this in with Dame but Giannis just isn’t the complement he needs to be in the pick and roll game. Right now the Bucks are stuck in neutral. They can either go in reverse and keep Giannis and trade away more future assets or they can shift ahead and trade Giannis. I think the Bucks are going to stay in neutral. They are stuck and won’t move either way. This is the Kohl years all over again.
  14. I don’t believe this to be true. Yes it is two years and Giannis is younger but I think the gap between Giannis and Durant is far closer than you think it is. Giannis has been great but if his body starts to break down he is looking more like an old center with no shooting game. A slower Giannis is basically Dwight Howard. You have to bake that into any evaluation of Giannis. If he gets slower or is slowed down by some injuries you can’t rely on his shooting game as it is non existent. Giannis is a great player but I don’t believe he is worth considerably more than Durant. Comparing Durant and Giannis in the NBA All Teams is like comparing MLB players based on the number of all star games they get elected to.
  15. I don't think you get that. If the Bucks wanted to trade Giannis I think the deal the Rockets gave up for Durant is close to what the Bucks would receive. They may get another first but I don't think they would get much more than that.
  16. The pitch to France was out of the zone. The one to Correa was on the black. Neither were bad pitches.
  17. Durant to the Rockets. If the Bucks were to trade Giannis I think this would be a close comparison of what they would receive.
  18. For a laugh maybe.
  19. You should see 28 Days Later and skip 28 Weeks Later. I haven't seen 28 Days Later in a long time but 28 Weeks Later is garbage and you don't need to watch that one. I haven't seen 28 Years Later yet but the newer movie is more of a standalone from what I understand about the movie. You don't need to watch the other two but you should definitely watch 28 Days Later at some point.
  20. He is still on an innings limit regardless of Woodruff or if anyone else comes back. Once he hits that limit that is it. He will go down to manage his innings at some point. It is why Henderson went back down.
  21. He looks better this year so far at AA. I think he still has K issues but they look to be improved this year. I haven’t checked his K% yet this year but his other stats look better.

  23. I thought it was the Lightning. Well in the 92-93 expansion it was the Lighting and Senators who were added. I think they tried to possibly buy a team and then move them to Milwaukee.
  24. For a AAA bat that hasn’t really been all that good this year and a spot on the AAA roster that is going to go to Wilken at some point his time was really numbered. I don’t expect the Brewers to get much from this trade maybe a lottery ticket. But it is probably cash for this transaction. This is probably a good outcome for Clarke with Wilken probably coming up to AAA at some point he was going to be losing AB’s and probably on the verge of being released.
