  1. Too much and the Brewers already have a DH in Yelich.
  2. Judge has a 9.6 fWAR while Raleigh has a 9.1 fWAR. Judge has a commanding lead in wRC+ at 202 and the next closest is Raleigh at 164. For MVP I wouldn’t be bothered by either winning it but I would give it to Raleigh. Being an everyday catcher is just insane with the numbers Raleigh is putting up. If he had a better batting average it would be a no doubter. On the NL side of things it should be unanimously won by Ohtani no one else is even close to him in the NL.
  3. I hate the Giants they are like the little brother to the Cardinals. Th Red Sox also at least their fans they are a more insufferable Cubs fan.
  4. Sigh another person who doesn’t know what capitalism is.
  5. No they definitely didn’t maybe one or two players here or there but it wasn’t all that many.
  6. No it is 3 games. If the Brewers win 3 games regardless what the Phillies do they are the #1 seed. The best the Phillies can get to is 98 wins. The Brewers are at 95 wins right now. So 3 wins would tie the Phillies and the Brewers have the tiebreaker. https://www.playoffstatus.com/mlb/nationalwinmagicnumbers.html
  7. Those assistants left a long time ago. Bielema left because UW was unwilling to pay the assistants more. A lot of the guys that were developing players who were 2-3 star recruits and walks on left as the money from other programs was more than what UW was willing to pay and they didn't leave for the Ohio States, Alabama's or the Texas's of college football. They left for smaller schools than UW. This is an insane take and an absolutely clueless one.
  8. Not sure how you guys misinterpret things so much on this forum. Where did I say it takes 5 years to recruit? Please reread what I said. I said it takes awhile to build the connections and recruit that doesn't mean one kid. It means getting into the high schools and other programs. It takes time to get into there and no you can't just use the connections that were used well not used by PC. Plus after this season the majority of the recruits will be Fickell's recruits and not PC's recruits. The majority of your team that will see if you can get success are going to be your Sophomore and Junior type of players with a few seniors sprinkled in. True Freshman are hardly ever starting and if they are it is because they are really good. Even the good ones don't start their first year. Next season will be the determining factor if Fickell recruited correctly. It is when every player will be his and not some castoff from PC. PC was going to be going down the same road as Fickell is in right now. Please tell me what recruits that PC had that was going to improve that 7-6 team. You won't find any as PC completely gave up on the recruiting end. We would be far worse off right now if PC continued to be the coach. That .713 winning percentage in the regular season would be falling so fast he probably would have quit after the 2023 season. If his record is this great why isn't he a HC at a major conference team right now? The answer is clear he is a cancer to a program and that is why no one will touch him because he won't recruit. Why get a HC who won't even do the basics for recruiting? He may have a good regular season winning percentage against cupcake teams but he is an absolutely awful HC when it comes to ranked opponents and doing the easiest and smallest things for recruiting.
  9. Yes after 5 years. It takes awhile to build the connections and to recruit. We are still on PC's failure of recruiting. If he would have given more than 0% the Badgers would have been a bit better off but he didn't if it were possible to give below 0% effort PC would have done that. You can't get lazy at recruiting and expect the program to be successful. Next year should be the year where Fickell gets judged on his recruiting. It will be all of his recruits next year.
  10. They had to rely on the portal because PC put them in this spot to rely on the portal. He did very limited recruiting and let one really good defensive player go because he didn't want to even meet them on campus. He just gave up and said screw it I am not doing this anymore. He didn't recruit a single QB after going after Mertz. It was like ok we got this guy we don't need to worry about 2-3 years down the road. Heck we don't even need to recruit for a backup QB because reasons only PC knows. The team is in a bad spot and having to go to the portal because of PC. He is the reason why they have had to go to the portal so much. You can't just give up on recruiting and expect to stay as the HC of a college team.
  11. I don't think it is possible for the Rockies to allow 1,000 runs in a season this year but they are close at 984. They have one more game at home and then are in Seattle and San Francisco both are more pitcher friendly parks. Still possible as there could be a crazy Coors game tomorrow where if they allow 8 or more runs getting to 1,000 should be possible then The last teams to allow 1,000 or more runs were the 1999 Rockies, 1996 Tigers and the 1939 St. Louis Browns and Philadelphia Athletics.
  12. Supposedly by the middle of the month if the Brewers would have even had lasted that long.
  13. I really hate U2 and believe they are the most overrated band of all time. Also another overrated band.
  14. Something something something Cubs easy schedule and they will be passing the Brewers any day now.
  15. Still waiting for the mythical "easy" part of the schedule for the Cubs to pass the Brewers to happen.
  16. He went 12-18 against ranked opponents. That is horrible for the program he was given. If he continued to coach his record would have went even lower. Probably looking at something like 12-25 or there about. Yes PC sucked and he was a bad coach. You have to do more than win in college football especially in a major conference. PC couldn't recruit and the majority of his best recruits were guys that were already there. He took a good football program and turned it into a snowball going to hell. His final 3-years he absolutely decimated the football program by refusing to recruit anyone. He was absolutely lazy and pathetic at recruiting. He is the reason this program is faltering as much it has been. Bielema set him up really good for his first three years.
  17. I think it was longer than his last two seasons. It felt like he quit after Mertz committed. After Mertz committed there was barely any recruiting going on if any at all. Leonhard didn’t help either on the defensive side of things when it came to recruiting. The death kneel of this program was losing Bielema and then going to Anderson and then to PC. PC was just a bad hire from the beginning. He was unwilling to move players around on offense and refused to change his game plan when it wasn’t working and then when something was working in the pass game it would all of a sudden just disappear never to be ran again because that wasn’t WI football. He had a great TE in Ferguson but refused to play him off of the OL. PC is a great D3 coach but an absolutely awful major conference coach.
  18. I still believe Fickell has at least one more year and possibly two. The Badgers are still trying to dig themselves out of the hole PC left them in. If they could have kept Bielema that would have been the best outcome. All UW had to do was pay the coordinators more. UW definitely could have afforded that.
  19. Would be nice if the OL could stay healthy for more than a half of a quarter.
  20. Not sure what Geoff Jenkins has to do with the Brewers.
  21. Kershaw also had a phew seasons where the ball was deadened but also a few years where the ball was lively. So not exactly sure how that would impact his career if at all. I don’t believe the deadened ball or the more lively ball from 2016-2019 are even adjusted in the advanced stats.
  22. Luis Robert should be a primary DH to keep him healthy. I wouldn’t classify him as a full time OF. If the White Sox release him I would be very interested and maybe he could have a comeback season. If he gets cut I don’t believe he will get a huge contract but it won’t be at the league minimum either.
