  1. This is weird, when was the last time the Brewers had multiple players with 10+ hit streaks going at the same time in the minors? Feels like this should happen more but I can't remember the last time the Brewers have had players do this.
  2. The Cardinals starting rotation is finally getting exposed for the weakness it was projected to be. Losing Flaherty is the near death kneel for that rotation. I don't see the Cardinals being much of a threat in the NL Central. The Cubs will be the Cubs and will cool off for a bit especially their starting pitching. I just don't believe the Cubs will be able to continue with the strong starting pitching especially when you look at who they have starting. All of the NL Central teams have warts and problems though. The Brewers probably have the least worrying warts being their horrid batting and their just about average bullpen. The Cubs, Cardinals and the Reds all share the same issue a weak starting rotation but a good offense I have heard this story before as a Brewers fan it usually doesn't end well by the end of the season. Good offenses will only carry you for so long at some point the bad starting pitching is going to hurt your bullpen and your offense won't be able to out score a team every game. Offenses can be fixed at a cheaper cost than a starting pitcher. Basically if the Cardinals are hanging around they will have to give up Gorman+ to get a starting pitcher and the biggest one left today after 12 pitches in Scherzer. Beyond Scherzer it is just a bunch of mediocre starting pitchers and that won't be enough to get the Cardinals into the playoffs. The same issue with the Cubs they will have to give up prospects that they don't have and probably don't want to give up. If the Cubs are somewhat in it come the deadline I expect them to just trade for marginal players to make their team better. Probably just adding to the bullpen or another #3 or #4 type starter. The Reds will more than likely sell and I think that is the right call for them as they shouldn't be trading their prospects as there really isn't anything out there that is going to move them from 4th to 1st. The wildcard is probably also out of the question in the NL Central.
  3. You're drivin' along, you're drivin' along, the kids start shouting from the back seat, "I gotta go to the bathroom, Daddy!" "Not now, damn it!" Truck tire. EEEEEEEE! I CAN'T STOP! There's a cliff! AAAAAHH! And your family's screaming, Oh my God, we're burning alive!" "No! I can't feel my legs!" Here comes the meat wagon. And the medic gets out and says, "Oh my God". New guy's around the corner puking his guts out.
  4. As bad as the shooting was this game the end of the final 30 seconds of this game has been the most exciting.
  5. That was some awesome defense there! Great deny of Durant by Tucker!
  6. That was a nice play Jrue.
  7. Giannis looking like he never did a pick and roll before.
  8. Still trying to figure out where the foul was on that last play?
  9. ugggg Giannis and Lopez are getting lazy and not boxing out on rebounds come on.
  10. Giannis needs to stop shooting the 3. He is killing the team with all of the misses.
  11. So you want them to watch more first pitch fastballs down the middle of the plate and then flail at low and away sliders?
  12. Latest MLB mock draft. https://www.mlb.com/news/mock-mlb-draft-2021-june-9 I think they are copying me for the Brewers 1st round pick.
  13. I wonder if Urias just plays better when he doesn't have a set position?
  14. Traeger is good just need to sometimes replace the pellets if you are cooking something that takes a long time. Traegers cost anywhere from $999 to $1999. To me that is a lot for a grill. The most expensive one I believe is their biggest one.
  15. I know sarcasm, but about as good as a scarecrow planted at 1B with a glove.
  16. If you want a set and forget it grill and you have a lot of money to waste a Traeger grill is really good. You kind of get close to a smoker with a Traeger. But beware the price tag for a Traeger.
  17. I guess. Maybe the game has changed. I just like defense. Hoping to out-shoot the other team just doesn't seem like team basketball that wins team championships. If you actually make an effort on defense, you can overcome a subpar shooting effort, you'd think. Sure defense would work but not against Durant. Durant will just out shoot your defense. He is like a taller version of Jordan in his prime he is that good. All of the elite defenses couldn't stop Jordan same with Durant. Your best hope is to contain him and hopefully he only scores around 30 points. Now add in Kyrie and that is just not going to work at all. You can scream team defense all you want but you are not stopping those two when they are even a little bit off.
  18. He reminds me a lot like Gomez and Arcia personality wise which means we will probably have some dumb threads about smiling and struggling. [sarcasm]Must have pouty face and seriousness when in a slump otherwise you can't get out of the slump - some random brewerfan.net poster.[/sarcasm]
  19. In recent memory I think the most a team has had is 2 starting pitchers on the All Star team. 2017 Dbacks and 2018 Dodgers. I might be remembering wrong but I don't think a team has had 3 starters selected for the All Star game at least not recently. Maybe the Braves in the 90's with Maddux, Smoltz and Glavine, but I can't remember any recent teams having more than 2. Narvaez is probably the only position player that has a chance. Depending on how you look at the stats Narvaez is the 2nd or 3rd best catcher in the NL so far. Posey is currently #1 followed by Narvaez and Realmuto.
  20. Just looking at Hiura's swings today he looks to be timing everything but his hands are not where they should be. His last AB on the two last swings his hands were below and above where the pitch was. He time them correctly but he either swung above or below the ball. I don't believe this is going to be an easy fix for him. It is going to be a long process of hime missing pitches. On the one hit he got today his hands were where he needed them to be but it looks like he just can't get his hands in the correct spot when swinging at pitches.
  21. So many 1st pitch strikes down the middle looking. The Brewers need to be more aggressive on these pitches
  22. The foul happened at 0.1 therefore the clock stops on the foul and the basket counts.
  23. Harden out with a hamstring injury unknown on the severity of the injury.
