  1. LOL the pitcher could have tagged Vogelbach there. If the pitcher turns around he has a play on Vogelbach as he slide way to early and didn't even make it to the plate on his slide. wow got lucky there.
  2. Ugggg the Ryan Braun at bat coming up watch pitches go down the middle and then swing at things out of the zone.
  3. If Cooper costs more than Ray it is way too much even Ray is pushing it.
  4. Miguel Sano is also having a bad year for the Twins. He has a slash line of .157/.270/.393 which looks like he is on pace to be as bad as his 2018 season which he had a slash line of .199/.281/.398.
  5. I don't think we will but if we do it will probably be Houser who does it. Burnes, Peralta and Woodruff are strike out pitchers which means their stuff is going to provide some power to a batter where if they just make contact it could go for a bloop single. I think Houser has the best shot as he is a more pitch to contact and get ground balls type of a pitcher.
  6. I had a friend in high school who started to get gray hair during his sophomore year we called him gramps.
  7. The Lakers are not a good team if both LeBron and AD are not on the court. With just one of them on the court they are just a perpetual 6-8 seed.
  8. Probably an agreement with Hader that he won't be used like he was previously. Disappointing yes but it is the business side of the game.
  9. Too many changeups. Yes it is his best pitch but when you throw just one pitch it gives the hitter an advantage even one as bad as Walker is.
  10. Nice seeing some speed in the minors.
  11. Suter with a horrible sequence of pitches there. He gets a swinging strike gift on the first pitch and then throws 4 straight non competitive pitches.
  12. For some reason KC doesn’t like to rebuild by trading away the few talented older players they have. merrifield, Dantana, and Perez should all be on the block but they won’t trade any of them and will win 77 games instead did having a bunch of future talent added The Royals built their team this off season for 2022. It is why they signed Santana to a multi year deal and I believe they extended Perez this off season also? The Royals do have some nice prospects who should be up at some point this year and I believe they want to have a few veterans in place for next season. Not that I agree with this way of building a team but it is how they set out to build their team this off season.
  13. Which gives you Ben Sheets, Sheets had a year where he batted .134 and if you subtract Hiura's current average gets you to .07 and if you multiply that by some number you get a crazy conspiracy theory.
  14. Hey look a Ryan Braun at bat! Watch two strikes go down the middle of the plate and then swing at a pitch out of the zone!
  15. If you have to you can always play Castellanos at 1B. He couldn't be any worse than Hiura or Vogelbach defensively at 1B. The Dbacks are probably the best team to deal with at 1B other than the Orioles. Pavin Smith will probably have to move to the OF as the Dbacks have Beer at AAA and he looks to be about ready to join the Dbacks at some point this year if not be their starting 1B next year. Beer can't play the OF and I wouldn't put Smith in the OF either especially in the NL West though he could play a passable CF which just sounds weird saying that about a 1B. His arm is below average for either corner OF spots and just about average in CF. The Brewers would probably have to overpay for Smith to get him away from the Dbacks but he should be someone that becomes available. This may have to be an off season trade. I would prefer Schwarber over Bell from the Nationals. Defensively Schwarber would be a question mark at 1B but again I don't think he would be worse than what the Brewers are currently getting out of Vogelbach and Hiura. Haniger could also be someone the Brewers could be looking to get. If anything the Brewers could move Yelich over to 1B and have Haniger play LF. For pitchers I think Kennedy makes some sense and Bundy could be a Pomeranz like addition to the bullpen.
  16. If you are giving up Hedbert and Turang you should be getting someone back like Yelich (Marlins). I wouldn't include Turang or Hedbert in a Mancini trade that is an over pay. I also believe the Orioles would be more interested in a pitcher in return for Mancini someone like Small or Ashby would be the headliner in a trade for Mancini. The second piece being someone like Zamora or Lutz and then the final two pieces being players like Ray, Bello, Gray, Henry etc. The final pieces are usually lower level players in trades. Depending on how the Orioles view Hiura that could be something they consider. Like Hiura and Ray/Bello/Gray for Mancini, but you are then selling low on Hiura if you are the Brewers and you may have to add in someone like Lutz or Zamora instead of your lower end prospects to the deal.
  17. While I believe coach K is a talented and really good college coach I still believe Izzo is a better coach. It is weird to see someone like coach K retire. Just feels like he would be at Duke for forever. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/legendary-duke-basketball-coach-mike-krzyzewski-to-retire-after-2021-22-season/
  18. Flaherty placed on the 10-day IL with an oblique injury. It is reported to be a serious injury with no timetable on a return. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/06/cardinals-to-place-jack-flaherty-on-10-day-injured-list-with-significant-oblique-injury.html The Cardinals rotation just got a lot worse. If Flaherty misses significant amount of games that could doom the Cardinals season. Beyond Flaherty the Cardinals don't really have a good starting rotation and without Flaherty they have a bunch of #4 and #5 pitchers.
  19. Can Charlie Blackmon play 1B better than Vogelbach/Hiura? I don't believe he wouldn't cost all that much in terms of prospects he isn't a good OF anymore and probably shouldn't be playing there right now. If you want a low strike out guy on the team Blackmon would be a good player to get. If he can just play 1B better than what Hiura and Vogelbach bring or just better than Vogelbach that would be an improvement both offensively and defensively. Blackmon does have two player options left for 2022 and 2023. So that maybe a prohibitive move and I believe the Rockies would have to put in around $7m for it to work for the Brewers at least if Blackmon who will more than likely exercise his 2022 and 2023 options. His 2023 option is only $13m which would fit well into the Brewers budget and what they spend totally on free agents. The 2022 option is what maybe prohibitive for the Brewers but I think the Rockies would kick in some cash if it meant a deal for Blackmon could be worked out. I see Blackmon as a Corey Hart type of a player right now, definitely on the decline of his career but I think he could give the Brewers a nice boost in the lineup as someone who doesn't strike out a lot and can still get on base with a walk. If the Rockies were hesitant on sending cash over the Brewers could just include JBJ in the trade and that would equal about the amount of cash the Brewers would need in return for the 2022 season when Blackmon accepts his option. I think someone like Erceg/Webb would be enough to get Blackmon so something like JBJ and Erceg/Webb for Blackmon or Erceg/Webb for Blackmon and cash. The prize at 1B that I would really want would be Mancini from the Orioles. I think the Brewers matchup with the Orioles here and could get him for a package centered around Small and Zamora. The third and fourth piece I am not certain on for them probably something like Ray and Fry/Henry but I am not certain beyond the first two who the Orioles would want in a Mancini trade.
  20. That was a dominating 2nd half by Giannis and Middleton.
  21. DiVincenzo to miss the rest of the playoffs. https://www.brewhoop.com/2021/5/28/22458653/report-donte-divincenzo-out-for-remainder-of-nba-playoffs-milwaukee-bucks
  22. Rhetorical question ... but is the difference in pitching at AAA compared to MLB really that drastic? I know its a wide gulf, but Keston's performance is making it look like the Grand Canyon. Yes the pitching at AAA is normally well below that of MLB. AA talent wise has better starting pitchers. For the most part AAA pitchers are normally just roster filler guys. It is why going from AA to the majors is not that big of a jump compared to going from AAA to the majors. AAA is normally just a holding spot for players. Top prospects barely play the whole year at AAA and if they do it is because of super 2 reasons.
