  1. I still like A Bridge Too Far which is probably my favorite war movie.
  2. Indiana has a .000000000000000000000000001% chance to beat OSU.
  3. Rodgers has 4 seasons being sacked 46 times or more and was at 22 when played 7games in a season. Trubisky has a high at 38. Rodgers sacked 50times the Super Bowl year. Always felt the line was overrated up to 3 years ago. Rodgers escaped so many certain sacks that Trubisky and bottom 90% of NFL Qbs never would or could. Sacks are not the only thing to look at but the number of times the QB has been hit and also the rushing yards by the RB after the point of contact and where that initial point of contact will tell you how good of an OL a team has. The Packers have had a good to an above average line almost every year that Rodgers has been the QB. There have been a few years where he has had a below average OL. Also need to look at how long the QB was holding the ball for if it was more than 3 seconds then that is not on the OL. Anything better than 3 seconds means the QB is getting enough time to look down the field and go from read 1 to 2 and then to 3. A lot of Rodgers sacks in the Packers SB win were at the longer period of times. Just two years ago I believe the worry was that Rodgers was taking too long in the pocket to throw the ball and was looking for the deep threat all the time. You don't get to do that with a poor OL. Rodgers sack evasion is not all that good anymore maybe during his first few years of starting he was but not any more. Trubisky has actually excelled at evading sacks it is decision making after doing that have been the problem.
  4. Wilson and Mahomes had and have good offensive lines. I believe that is being overlooked here. I don't believe Trubisky has ever had a good OL maybe his first year but each year after that it has been bad and this year is just awful. Go back to Couch and one other that I am forgetting that set the record for being sacked or hit. QB's are only as good as their offensive lines if the OL is bad your QB is going to be bad. The same goes for the RB, WR and TE positions especially RB. I believe OL is far more important than the QB everything in football starts with the OL.
  5. Hayward and Avery Bradley have declined their player options. I am not sure either would sign for the MLE. I think Hayward might but I don't see Bradley doing it. I believe it would take all of the MLE to get Hayward maybe he signs a 1-year $5m deal but I am doubtful on that.
  6. Nwora looks good. https://theathletic.com/2192446/2020/11/18/jordan-nwora-louisville-milwaukee-bucks-nba-draft-second-round-rookie
  7. The Cubs are going to resign two of their free agents and one of those will not be Bryant if he had any trade value at all he would be traded this off season. I believe the Cubs will resign Rizzo and Baez and I wouldn't be surprised to see a contract extension for Baez soon. The Cubs real problem is the bullpen and starting pitching and I don't think they will go out and spend on Bauer and will instead go bargain bin shopping for players like Gausman. I believe the Cubs could have down years from 2022-2023 and then be back again in 2024 and if that is their plan then extending Baez and Schwarber makes more sense. Each would be in their mid 30's by that time and if they drafted well and spend well in the international free agents they should have a good team by 2024 again. I don't see the Cubs being down for more than 2-years unless they draft horribly or the international free agents they spend on are busts.
  8. Kaminsky would actually fit in with the Bucks and what they do offensively. He is actually a better fit than Robin Lopez was as a backup C. Dekker doesn't really fit in with what the Bucks do though defensively he wouldn't be a bad option but there are better fits out there than Dekker. Kaminsky is really the only player that actually fits into what the Bucks are doing offensively and he wouldn't be a liability defensively at C either. Like Robin Lopez I am not sure Kaminsky will want to come to the Bucks as there would be very little playing time for him at C.
  9. If this was 3-years ago that is an overpay but with Hayward's recent injuries he is not worth all that much. Depending on the three first round picks from the Celtics the Pelicans accepted the superior offer though Hayward has a higher ceiling than Bledsoe I just don't believe he can stay healthy to provide any value to the Pelicans.
  10. Jrue Holiday to the Bucks? https://theathletic.com/news/jrue-holiday-traded-to-milwaukee-bucks-sources/7YKmlqUOiniZ
  11. I would rather resign Brett Anderson who has been a better pitcher the past few years.
  12. From 2010 on Baseball Prospectus says this about 3B coaches: https://www.baseballprospectus.com/news/article/10073/hot-stove-u-why-all-third-base-coaches-should-be-fired/ I believe Sedar was in the 90% success rate which means he didn't send enough maybe he needs a nickname change to stop sign.
  13. Earlier in the year I said the Pirates would be lucky to get a top 100 prospect for Bell and it is still true today. I believe Bell's value has actually dropped even more since January and I think his top value right now is a Corey Ray type of a prospect or even lower. A Ward for Bell trade maybe the top of the offers that the Pirates would receive for Bell.
  14. So the people putting out the data don't fall into your political ideology so the data is not right got it. So you are not interested in reading something and learning something because you are afraid your ideology will be challenged. Closed minded indeed.
  15. Can you provide studies that show this data from reputable sources? We'd all like to see the backing of this claim. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.24.20078717v1 https://gbdeclaration.org/ https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-failed-experiment-of-covid-lockdowns-11599000890 https://www.wsj.com/articles/public-health-experts-rethink-lockdowns-as-covid-cases-surge-11602514769 https://www.aier.org/article/experience-from-other-countries-show-lockdowns-dont-work/ There are more....
  16. Europe is already seeing riots over the lockdowns there if the US locksdown again you will see riots. We are on a brink of another civil war and the continuation or remergence of lockdowns may be the spark that sets off the powder keg. We also have evidence the lockdowns do not work and have not worked. The data points to the lockdowns as an absolute failure and should not be an option ever.
  17. 2nd game against Nebraska canceled. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/wisconsin-cancels-game-at-nebraska-pauses-all-activities-after-elevated-covid-19-numbers/
  18. Confirmed out for 3-weeks Source: Graham Mertz's second COVID-19 test comes back positive after breakout start, will be sidelined for 21 days https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/wisconsin-qb-graham-mertz-tests-positive-covid-19-a-second-time-after-breakout-start-will-be-out-for-21-days/
  19. I wonder if instead of playing less games if it would be better to play less innings? Go from 9 innings to 7 inning games instead which would in turn make the games go faster. I would also keep the extra innings rule which I thought was stupid but I actually like it when it was played. It created some excitement having a runner already on base and could create some unique strategies going forward. I think you could possibly play as many games by decreasing the amount of innings played in a shorter time span along with playing double headers here and there. Ultimately I think if nothing changes that a 100-130 game season would be best. I would like to see the DH stay in the NL and also for the extra innings rule to stay.
  20. I would say just the opposite. The Packers are more likely to beat those teams in a shoot-out than they are keeping them under 24 points. That would be Seattle's best chance also. I disagree the Packers completely folded and gave up in the Tampa Bay game. If they get in a shootout and they get behind that defense will just crumble and shutdown.
  21. I expect the whole league to cut payroll how much payroll that I am not sure about. According to the article below MLB has lost somewhere between $2-3 billion this season. With more layoffs coming in MLB the next to be hit will be payroll. MLB is also uncertain on how many fans and how long next years season will be. There could be no or a very small percentage of fans and a shortened season. I don't think MLB will play a full season next year if there are no fans allowed. I believe for a full 162 game season to be played capacity will have to hit about 40%. I doubt the teams will take another hit financially so 40% would be about the number the teams would have to hit for a 162 game season and be profitable. If it is less than 40% I think we are looking at another 60-100 game season. https://theathletic.com/2160374/2020/10/26/mlb-owners-lay-off-hundreds-as-revenues-plummet-drastically-changing-the-sport
  22. Chiefs, Steelers and Titans are the top 3 right now. While the Chiefs lost to the Raiders I don't really count division losses all that bad. If they lost to the Broncos sure but the Raiders actually have a good team. The 49ers are to inconsistent for me to like their odds of winning. The Packers defense is mediocre at best especially in the secondary and their run defense is non existent. The Seahawks have Wilson but they have taken 10 steps back defensively. The Bears are way to inconsistent on offense to be reliable though I think they could upset someone in the playoffs on the NFC side. Tampa Bay is also inconsistent offensively for me to like their chances. There are just way too many question marks on the NFC teams. If any of them get in a shootout with the Chiefs or Steelers they lose and they lose by a lot. The only way I see the NFC teams winning is if they can keep the Chiefs or Steelers below 24 pts any higher and they don't have a chance.
  23. I found this information rather interesting. https://mises.org/power-market/google-mobility-data-suggests-sweden-socially-distanced-less-other-countries So Sweden looks to be a weird outlier or it is the model that everyone should be following? At a minimum it is telling us that the draconian lock downs don't and will not work.
  24. I don't believe there is a team in the NFC that can beat any of the top 3 in the AFC.
  25. The TD he threw before the half ended even in the NFL at times that ball is over or under thrown to the WR even when they are wide open. That was a nice pass and he hit the receiver in stride down the field that is not something that happens with Badger QB's even Wilson had trouble doing that.
