  1. Usain Bolt wouldn't have scored on that hit. It was hit too hard and hit right at the LF just not possible to score on that hit. Should of sent him anyhow, the chance of another 2 out hit by this team is slightly higher than zero. Braun scoring on that hit was zero.
  2. It is looking like Mertz is going to be the backup to start the year.
  3. I can't wait for fully autonomous driving to be a thing. No more merging etc all will be handled by the car. Once we have fully autonomous cars traffic should be a thing of the past and commute times should be shorter. The autonomous vehicles should be able to go 100+ mph on the freeways and highways with no issue. This would require 100% autonomous vehicles or close to it. The biggest downside of this is there would be more people moving to rural areas. The same type of move that happened after WWII.
  4. Not sure how accurate this is but I found this: https://www.fromthisseat.com/index.php/475-general/mlb-hotels/16785-brewers-hotels
  5. I work in an office with 90% women and they are always complaining it is cold in the office and here is me sitting right under the AC duct that is blowing on me all day and I am nearly sweating. It is freaking 80 in the office and they are complaining it is freezing oh and it is also like 110+ outside so yeah.
  6. I don't think the Brewers would have to eat much salary. The advanced stats point to Cain having a very unlucky year and he should rebound. Grisham is not a CF he should be playing LF. The best option after Cain in CF is Ray and that would be a drop off in both defense and offense. Depending on what the Brewers would be looking for they could get something like Contreras and another prospect for Cain from the Braves. If you go by the baseballtradevalues site something like Cain for Contreras and Toussaint works with the Braves. Or something like this to the Rays: Brewers get Baz Lowe and Schnell Rays get Cain and $10m If Cain were to be made available there would be a lot of teams inquiring about him. The Yankees make some sense here also as they will be clearing some payroll after this season though I think they will want to go with their younger players so they can sign one of Strasburg or Cole or both.
  7. Brewers rank 26th in runners left in scoring position with 3.57 runners left in scoring position per game. The Nationals are also stranding at 3.57 per game. Only Detroit (3.63), Tampa Bay (3.65), Boston (3.72) and Philadelphia (3.79) are worse.
  8. In the tech field it is less about education or a degree than it is about can you do the job or not. There are some specific jobs that require a degree but a majority of the jobs that require some basic coding you can get away with not having a degree. If you can learn a language like PHP, JAVA, or Python you are set for a job in the tech field with or without a degree.
  9. More English literature and some women's studies is probably needed more. I still can't figure out why anyone who wants to become an accountant would need to take either of those courses. Though taking a course on general economics wouldn't be a bad idea. When I went to high school we had the general life class. Some things are outdated now but people in high school really need to learn about credit scores and how they impact their life. Also budgeting and how to use credit or loans. There is no such thing as good debt I wish that lie would die already.
  10. MLB published the 2020 schedule and the opening day series is against the Cubs.
  11. If you can get Grisham and Hiura on deals similar to what Acuna or Albies got I think you have to do it.
  12. I don't think a degree is needed to make a sitcom or to write a song. I still believe college is pushed way too much especially for things you don't need a degree for. Do you really need to go to school for 4-years to paint a picture? Do you really need to go to school to write a novel? Even going to school for business is iffy to me. A lot of people have been successful and have not gone to college or have dropped out. College has just become way too expensive compared to what you actually get from it.
  13. First pitch was a strike. Pitch two was a ball and pitch three was close but was probably a ball.
  14. Would you non-tender Travis Shaw? No, but I would test the market to see if there is any interest and see what that interest is. Would you pickup Thames option? Yes but only if Shaw is not coming back. Anyway we can bring back Grandal and/or Moose? I would try and bring Grandal back but Moose can walk. If Grandal will sign a 3-4 year deal at $15-17m per season then yes otherwise I am letting them both walk away. Are we going to upgrade shortstop or just bring somebody to push Arcia? The Brewers don't have the assets to upgrade from Arcia so that is out of question. Maybe there is a trade out there or a waiver claim for someone who is blocked at SS or just needs some playing time kind of like Villar. How do we fill out the rotation besides these three... Woodruff Anderson Davies Burnes, Houser, Peralta, Gonzalez, and Lyles should all be competing for a rotation spot. I would probably try and trade Anderson for something and then go with a rotation of Woodruff, Gonzalez, Davies, Suter and Burnes/Houser/Peralta. One player I would target in a trade is Hunter Dozier. I am not sure if the Royals would part with him and I am not sure if the Brewers even have the prospect capital to get him but he would fit in very nicely as another RH bat in the lineup. If you keep Shaw you then move Shaw to 1B and have him platoon with Braun at 1B. Lineup: Cain CF Yelich RF Hiura 2B Dozier 3B Grisham LF Shaw/Braun 1B Pina/Nottingham/Freitas C Arcia Bench: Braun/Shaw 1B Gamel OF Pina/Nottingham/Freitas C Seth Mejias-Brean UTIL (rule 5 draft pick) Saladino UTIL Rotation: Woodruff Gonzalez Davies Suter Burnes Bullpen: Hader Faria Peralta D. Williams Houser Claudio Pomeranz Probably not the top of the NL but with the addition of Dozier and a full year of Hiura this team should be better. Offensively I think this is a fluke year for Cain and he will rebound nicely next year. If Shaw can come back to form he would make the offense more potent. I am not sure how the Brewers could get Dozier from the Royals but in my made up fantasy world they do.
  15. Except there has always been shifts in baseball so I guess your not really a purist.
  16. Gray is probably the only pitcher that DJ has had an impact on that you listed. Castillo has improved to where his advanced stats last year said he should be at and he isn't pitching any different than he was last year. Desclafani and Roark are both at where they should be.
  17. To clear the pitcher that's why. If you have low OBP players in the 5-7 part of your batting order you will have your pitcher leading off an inning which is normally an automatic out. You need to have a player who can put up a decent OBP either 5th or 6th preferably 6th. Then you have a player who is high contact batting 7th and another high OBP player hitting 9th.
  18. Thames OBP is needed at the bottom of the order but it would pay off more if the pitcher were batting 8th instead of 9th. Though Thames would have to be batting 6th for that to work.
  19. Anderson is bad when hitters get a third PA against him so it is the right move to remove him. Though today maybe a different story with an extra innings game on Tuesday. Maybe try and get Chase to go 6 but have someone up and ready to go if anyone gets on base.
  20. But with satelite and cable if you cancel and you are in a contract there is a fee you have to pay. For the streaming service there is no fee and you can cancel and switch whenever you want. So that problem is mitigated a bit.
  21. That is a pretty good haul for Greinke. I don't see how the Brewers could have topped that trade.
  22. You can remove Syndergaard from the list as he is no longer available.
  23. There are always free trials for Hulu, PlayStation Vue, and YouTube TV.
