  1. Is Taylor as good or better than Adrian Peterson was in college?
  2. Are the Badgers this good or are the Wolverines this bad? I am impressed the most by the offensive line they have been dominating the whole game in both pass protection and creating lanes for the running game.
  3. The answer to these questions is always the Lions.
  4. He is probably just working on things on the side with either the bullpen coach or the pitching coach.
  5. So much for being in a boot for a week and then being re-evaluated. He is right around when he should be returning from the original report of 5-9 days in a boot and then being re-evaluated. So it was a day earlier than the earliest expectations of him returning.
  6. If you are saying by off season budget, that we spend our current Grandal and Moustakas money on him, I suppose that would put us in the ballpark - but probably still not enough. Off season budget as in that would be the only significant signing. I believe Mark A. would open up the checkbook for the right player but it is not a bottomless pit.
  7. The Badgers have been doing really well lately (huge understatement) with their recruiting for both Basketball and Football. This has been a real nice turn around recruiting wise for both programs.
  8. Rendon is probably a better fit than Moustakas going forward but I believe a Rendon signing would take up the majority of the Brewers off season budget and they won't be able to add a starting pitcher and at least one relief pitcher. I would rather go Odorizzi, Swarzak/Betances and Moustakas as I believe that brings in more value than just signing Rendon. If the Brewers wanted to push the budget a bit further they could go Odorizzi, Wheeler, Swarzak/Betances and Moustakas. Adding both Odorizzi and Wheeler would be a nice top of the rotation with Woodruff and that leaves only the #4 spot which Davies could occupy and then the #5 spot which you have Burnes, Peralta, Brown, Lyles, Anderson and others to fill. I just don't see Rendon or Cole as being options for the Brewers. Rendon I see going to the White Sox and Cole going to the Yankees.
  9. Hopefully this recruiting class translates into something special.
  10. The Brewers have home field advantage in every tie scenario.
  11. Just keeping the team in the race for the majority of the year should get CC the manager of the year. All of the other teams are playing to expectations while most had the Brewers regressing this year. Last year it was a coin flip between CC and the Braves manager. This year I am not so sure about and if the Brewers make the playoffs it should be his to win.
  12. Those don't bother me. The ones that really bug me are the ones that are clearly off the plate that are called a strike and then the ones that are clearly in the strike zone that are called a ball. Yesterday's game was a clear example of this the umpire missed at least 4 or 5 calls of clear balls and strikes but were not called as so. The only time the ones that are a on the edge of the strike zone bother me is when an umpire is not calling them consistently. If it is a strike for one pitcher it better be a strike for another. It really bothers me when an umpire changes the strike zone depending on who is pitching or who is batting.
  13. You doubled down on this phrase, and I'm not a fan. I think the only player in recent memory to be this was Manny Parra and that was mostly him not getting out of his own head.
  14. Rizzo out for at least a week for the Cubs. Will be in a boot for 5-7 days and will be reevaluated after.
  15. Army is not a cupcake team like who the Badgers played.
  16. Rizzo ankle injury looks serious might be out for a few games.
  17. I wasn't expecting the Pirates to win the series this weekend against the Cubs but come on at least play competitively. Just one game that is all the Pirates need to win just one.
  18. Simple answer international players are not eligible for the MLB draft, except for players from Canada and Puerto Rico. This is actually the reason why Cuban players don't defect to Puerto Rico as they would then be subject to the MLB draft. Though I believe there maybe an age limit to the draft?
  19. When was the last time an injured player won the MVP award? Before Yelich went down with the injury Bellinger was leading in first place votes of those polled who have a vote. Rendon last week was starting to get more support also. I wouldn't be surprised if Yelich loses some votes to Rendon or Acuna. I just don't see how the voters are going to ignore the injury valid or not.
  20. Hah Cain was not amused with Arcia not making the previous play.
  21. Braun I'll watch two very good pitches to hit and then I will swing at a ball completely out of the strike zone. Perfect logic!
