    If you are going to spend $5m+ on two SS I would rather just pay the cheaper one and not pay for the more expensive one. I would rather pay Arcia $2m and then sign Grandal, Moustakas, Pomeranz, and Lyles. I just don't see the value in adding Iglesias. The improvement for the money being spent is minimal at best and the money can be spent better on other players like Pomeranz or Lyles. Capital wise if you are going to improve at SS it would be better to give someone like Nick Gordon a chance with Arcia than it is to sign Iglesias.

    I don't believe the Brewers will win out. They have at least one loss left maybe two. I just don't see the Brewers making up that 1 game difference.

    If the Pirates hold on it is down to 1 which given the schedule looks like the Brewers will wrap up the 2nd WC spot against the Reds. I don't think the division is in play or WC1.

    The Cubs are falling apart they maybe done which sucks for the division race as this probably means it is over. If the Cubs continue to falter I don't think Maddon will last very long into the off season which sucks for the Brewers.

    I think they were still trying to figure out if they were going to try him as a starter or keep him in the bullpen. Glad they went the bullpen route on this one.

    Well the Phillies are up 4-1 in game two but the bases are loaded with no outs in the bottom of the 4th.

    It will end at some point due to him missing a spot on a pitch but Suter has a lot of deception to the way he pitches and it wouldn't surprise me if he continues to dominate. Suter is the best pitcher on the Brewers staff in hiding the ball when he pitches and this adds some perceived MPH to his pitches to the batter.

    I understand this but you are basically paying 2.5m for 2017 Arcia. Would you pay 2.5m+ a season for 2017 Arcia? I know I wouldn't pay that much for that type of production and I would rather try and find someone who is blocked like Nick Gordon.

    I just don't see the appeal of Iglesias. Going from Arcia to Iglesias to me is not that big of a jump and you will be paying him more than what Arcia will be making in arbitration. I just don't see an investment in Iglesias being a smart move more of a knee jerk reaction than anything really. If the Brewers want to make a serious upgrade at SS Nick Gordon maybe the best option out there for the Brewers to go and pick up he has fallen behind Lewis in Minnesota as their future SS and he didn't really have an all that great year at AAA and he had a poor year last year in AA before being promoted to AAA. Gordon may not bring back a player as good as the Twins may want. I think a trade of Gordon for Brown and Nottingham should be enough. I am not sure that gets it done but I would rather have Gordon than Iglesias. I'll take 2011 Yuni B over Iglesias.

    The same was said last offseason for Moose. The market for 3B is not that great for Moose. I don't see many teams that will be looking for a 3B. Maybe the Nationals if they lose Rendon. The three teams I can think of who will be looking at 3B are the Brewers, Nationals and White Sox. One will get Rendon and the others may go after Moose. Say what you will but if the price goes to high the Brewers will just stick with Shaw. The Nationals may prefer Grandal over Moose and go that route. I don't see Moustakas getting more than a 2-year deal. Grandal may get 5-years but I don't believe that deal is out there and he will get a 3-year deal.

    I wonder if the Royals will promote Sveum to manager if not I would really like to see the Brewers bring him back as the hitting coach.

    The Pirates are not going to get a lot for Bell. The 1B/DH market is rather saturated with quality players. They may not be as good as Bell but there is also not that much demand for 1B/DH type players. At best I could see the Pirates getting 1 top 100 prospect for Bell as the headliner and then one or two players in the 125-150 range. For a trade for Bell to work it would have to include Turang and Ray from the Brewers. That is just way too much to give up for Bell for me and I would rather use my trade capital on something else or not use it at all really.
