  1. I don't think getting injured by salad tongs will ever be topped EVER!
  2. Surprised but Kimbrell has lowered his asking price rumored to be 3-years $45m.
  3. Detroit is just completely out matched without Griffin.
  4. Only thing I can think of is a video card driver issue. Are you using a laptop or a desktop? If you are using a laptop make sure the game is using the actual video card and not the motherboard's video. I know stupid but it happens a lot.
  5. Damian Miller is the most recent player I can remember who wasn't part of the MLBPA. Players do not have to join the MLBPA. According to the MLBPA website: Q: Who is eligible for membership in the Association? A: All players, managers, coaches and trainers who hold a signed contract with a Major League club are eligible for membership in the Association. In collective bargaining, the Association represents around 1,200 players, or the number of players on each club's 40-man roster, in addition to any players on the disabled list. Q: How much are union dues? A: The players' dues are $85 per day during the season. http://www.mlbplayers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=34000&ATCLID=211785603
  6. Closer to 5-110 or 6-128. I don't see Kimbrel looking for a 2-3 year deal maybe a 4-year deal but he is going to want at least 5-years and his AAV should be around $20-22m.
  7. Wow. I loved me some 80's Bucks basketball, but I'm a little surprised these two are HOF worthy. Buck's HOF absolutely. They were both very good players, but not quite HOF worthy IMO. Granted, I've not paid much attention to whomelse might be in the HOF either. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is not just NBA players it is basically both a professional hall of fame and an amateur hall of fame. This is completely different than the NFL's and MLB's hall of fame. There are whole teams that have been inducted into this hall of fame for example the Harlem Globetrotters have been inducted into the hall of fame.
  8. Uggg that should have been a win but without Middleton, Bledsoe, and Giannis they didn't play all that bad against a bad Atlanta team.
  9. Magic # is down to 2 for the #1 seed. Could have been 1 if the Knicks weren't so pathetic.
  10. Kind of reminded me of the Bogut injury.
  11. This is going to be an albatross for the Cardinals but the DH possibly coming to the NL should help. This is a definite overpay from what Goldschmidt would have received in FA. The 1B/DH market is overly saturated. If Goldschmidt went to FA he would be looking at 1-3 year deals at about $20m a season. Years 3-5 are going to be a real problem for the Cardinals if the NL doesn't have the DH.
  12. Starting rotation is set with Chacin, Davies, Peralta, Burnes and Woodruff. Sounds like Nelson will start the year in the minors.
  13. Replacing Middleton with Snell or Wilson is a significant decrease in production both offensively and defensively. Not only that but you are also impacting the bench with Snell or Wilson starting. Both Snell and Wilson are better coming off the bench than starting.
  14. If the Bucks lose Middleton this off season they go from a top 4 team in the East to a 7-8 seed team. The Bucks can't replace him in FA and they won't be able to trade for a replacement either. The quickest way to get Giannis out of Milwaukee would be to allow Middleton to walk.
  15. Brogdon out 6-8 weeks. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba-injury-update-bucks-malcolm-brogdon-could-miss-first-round-of-playoffs-with-plantar-fascia-tear-per-report/
  16. I believe he was in one or two episodes.
  17. Haven't seen this posted yet. NSFW language
  18. Not sure what is going wrong but it is like they are running out of gas.
  19. 1. Bucks 2. Brewers 3. Packers The Bucks probably have the best chance to win it all with the Brewers coming in a distant second. The Packers are getting old and there is no guarantee that Rodgers will continue to be great going forward he may just be an above average QB as he ages instead of an elite QB. I believe Rodgers will age more like Manning than Brady. The Bucks have a nice core with Giannis, Middleton, and Bledsoe and they also have a very nice supporting group of players. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bucks win it this year or at least make it to the Finals this year. With the Brewers I think this all relies on how well their young pitchers progress and if they are able to replace some of their aging veterans in Braun and Cain. I think the Brewers have a nice group of younger players in Hiura and Ray but I don't see either of those players being superstars. The Brewers might be able to squeak by and win one World Series but it will be tough and everything will need to fall in place for them. I am fine with the Brewers being competitive enough to just win games and be in the playoffs. The Packers are just an injury to Rodgers away from being the Raiders.
  20. Just guessing? It does seem like the only team he's being connected to is the Braves. But the Braves are also notoriously cheap, so I could see the Brewers jumping in and surprising everyone. I'm sure Stearns and Attanasio are certainly not afraid to make a splash ... again. The last rumors were the Braves, Brewers, and a mystery team or two. Since Philly signed Harper I think we can count them out.
  21. I expect Keuchel to sign with the Brewers or the Braves by the end of next week.
  22. They also extend Bledsoe 4-years $70m.
  23. I think the major areas that will change and this will avoid a strike are removing the super 2 status, removing the attached draft picks to players, salary floor and adding of the DH to the NL. Removing the super 2 status will be a bone thrown at the younger players by the veterans. This seriously needs to go away and I think the owners will agree on this. There shouldn't be any delaying a player being put on the major league roster if that player is truly ready to be on the major league roster. I think this will be one of the bigger issues for the players union to satisfy its younger stars. For the veterans the biggest issue for them is removing the compensation that is attached to free agents. MLB needs to get rid of this system and just replace it with either the franchise tag like in the NFL or just use a RFA and UFA. RFA would be the last year of arbitration for a player a team can either match an offer that comes in through free agency or let the player walk and receive a compensation pick after the 1st round of the draft. For the salary floor the only way the small market teams will agree to this is if they receive more revenue sharing which I think can be done by setting up rules for the revenue sharing. Teams must be at or above the salary floor and for small market teams depending on how far above the salary floor will receive a higher percentage of the revenue sharing. For example if the Brewers are above 10% of the salary floor they will receive %5 more of the allocated shared revenue if you are only at the salary floor you will only receive your base revenue sharing and if you are below the salary floor and are a revenue sharing team you receive no revenue sharing. The addition of the DH is obvious and helps the veteran players extend their career a little bit longer thus allowing them to increase their career salary. I don't see a strike happening it may go all the way down to the last minute but I don't see a strike happening. The owners and the players will lose more than what they did during the last strike.
  24. I'll second Playstation Vue but some don't like the interface. I like it and that is all that matters.
