  1. But I have been a Blackhawks fan since I was about 9 when I started watching hockey.
  2. Prices are not coming down. Arrietta, Lynn, and Cobb may settle for less years but the amount per year will not be going down. ......so the price is coming down. No if you buy 10 items at $20 a piece or 5 items at $20 a piece the price doesn't come down same concept here.

  4. This is not even possible. The Brewers can release players and allow them to go to Japan but they can not be traded to a Japanese league team. Also this player would have to be posted first before the Brewers could bid on him. Basically the player has to be either posted or a free agent and they can not be traded to a MLB team.
  5. You would have to give up Brinson, Hiura and Ortiz just to get the Braves to not hang up on you. So basically you have to overpay to get him. I think u may be over valuing him some. His numbers aren't that spectacular. He's really good but not at a crazy 3 top 100 players level. That is not my valuation of him that is Atlanta's. They are not willing to trade him unless blown away.

  7. How did this guy not get suspended?
  8. Offensively off of the bench sure but Bledsoe has picked that up and then some. Rebounding a little bit but defensively the Bucks are about the same as they were when he was here. They should have tried to get Chandler in that deal. Maybe the Bucks are able to get Jordan from the Clippers but I doubt they will be able to get him. I think Bogut is still available?
  9. I doubt they will trade any of their pitching as Keuchel is a FA next year and I doubt they will be able to resign him as the Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox, and probably the Cubs are all going to be trying to get him. That is going to make it really hard for the Astros to resign Keuchel next year and I don't think the Astros are going to be trading much in terms of starting pitching this year especially ones that will be ready for next year or can be resigned for a decent amount for next year.
  10. I think the Brewers roster is set offensively and they may add one or two more pitchers if they do add someone in free agency.
  11. The IPO that I am waiting for. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-01-11/dropbox-is-said-to-file-confidentially-for-initial-offering Should be a good stock to own for the long-term.
  12. Ok I will add one also: Free Agent: Jake Arrieta, RHP Years: 3+2 option years player opt out after the 3rd year and a team option for year 5 Total Cost: $100 million if for all 5-years. Years 1-3 total of $66m player option for year 4 at $18m year 5 team option at $16m.
  13. I can't believe the number of first round failures the Brewers had during that stretch. It's really stunning how little value they have been able to get out of those players. Was it a draft failure or a development failure? In nearly every year, there were players taken after the Brewers pick who went on to stardom, or at least valuable performance. Not in 2011 that draft is looking to be very bad for just about everyone. https://www.baseball-reference.com/draft/index.fcgi?year_ID=2011&draft_round=1&draft_type=junreg&query_type=year_round The best player so far in that draft is Mookie Betts in the 5th round with a 24.1 WAR. I also believe Shaw was drafted in 2011 in the 9th round. The Bluejays actually did a worse job in the first round with 5 picks only 4 of them signed though. The total WAR for those 4 picks signed 0.8 though Musgrove looks like he will be a decent #5 or long reliever. Dwight Smith doesn't look all that impressive to me though and may accumulate more WAR than Jungmann has but won't be more than a 4th or 5th OF.
  14. Its not like the 2011 draft was all that good anyways where the Brewers were picking. I know the Brewers were really interested in Lindor that year but he didn't fall to the Brewers. Beyond Lindor and Fernandez there were a bunch of disappointments in that draft. The highest WAR is by Anthony Rendon the 6th pick in the draft for the first round picks and the highest goes to Mookie Betts who was drafted in the 5th round. From the 2nd-4th round there wasn't a single player who had more than 7 WAR. The first round only has a total of 7 players who have more than 10 WAR so far and the majority of those players were picked before the Brewers even picked. From the first round of the 2011 draft I think there is maybe only one player who is currently playing who has a chance to be a hall of fame type of a player and that is Lindor who was picked 8th. The Brewers had a bad draft there but looking back at that draft I don't see anyone who was drafted around where the Brewers picked who are all that much better than Bradley or Jungmann and no Fernandez was not going to be signing with the Brewers he would have instead went to college over playing for Milwaukee.
  15. I'll take the 7 in the top 100 chances are better that one or more become at least an all star level player.
  16. Such a dumb rule nothing says you are useless and we are only interviewing you because we have to like these rules.
  17. I think the Browns could also draft Saquon Barkley and be ok though I do agree with you that trading for multiple picks would be the best strategy for them.
  18. Not surprising the Brewers would have frequent conversations about Cain especially when you look at them trying to deal one or both of Broxton and Santana. While that would open up a spot for both or one of Brinson and Phillips you still have to stay open that neither may perform as well as you would like. Cain makes some sense in RF for the Brewers if you trade Santana you can fill that spot with Cain and have CF be a platoon of Broxton/Phillips or Brinson/Phillips. You would probably want to trade both Broxton and Santana and then bring in Cain to play RF and then give Phillips and Brinson CF or give Brinson RF and have Cain and Phillips as your CF. It makes some sense that the Brewers are talking about Cain and keeping that possibility open but I think a Cain signing would depend on a Santana trade and that doesn't look all that likely right now.
  19. Speaking of coffee this is what I buy https://www.blackriflecoffee.com/collections/coffee/products/just-black-coffee-blend
  20. He has another two years left before becoming a free agent and will be 26 next season I wonder what it would take to get him from the Tigers? I believe his power numbers would increase moving away from Detroit and playing in Milwaukee kind of like what happened to JD Martinez. I am not sure who I like more at 3B but you could either have Castellanos or Shaw playing 1B/3B. Both are not the greatest defensive players at 3B but they can both play there just not sure which one is better than the other. The Brewers would probably have to trade either Aguilar or Thames if the Brewers got Castellanos. Tigers get: Harrison, Ortiz, Gatewood and Bickford Brewers get: Castellanos I don't think the Tigers will want Brinson or Phillips as they are major league ready and I don't believe the Tigers are anywhere near that in their rebuild. This is why I believe the Tigers would opt for Harrison over Brinson or Phillips. Ortiz would be the next big prospect for the Tigers along with two solid pieces in Bickford and Gatewood. This gives the Tigers 2 of the Brewers top 10 players and 2 in the top 15-20. Now the Brewers lineup would look rather good and the only real piece missing is someone who can lead off and get on base in front of Santana, Shaw, and Castellanos.
  21. I don't like this at all. It would be fine to have an African-American Heritage day all by itself but why replace the Negro League Tribute Game?
  22. The Bears are still looking at bringing Fangio back. He has an outside chance of being their head coach. He could also fit in as the Cardinals head coach also. Fangio is going to get paid this off season regardless and I don't see the motivation of sticking it to the Bears for him as they are looking to bring him back as their d-coordinator.
  23. Living in Chicago, I have been overjoyed at their muddled personnel and coaching decisions since Pace took over at GM. I hope he stays forever. Fox was a McCaskey group hiring and Pace did not want to hire him. The struggles for the Bears have been the owners overriding their GM in terms of hiring coaches.
