  1. Im not sure I can agree with this statement. Since Ryan took over, Wisconsin has had (1) McDonald's All-American, yet has still produced 4 NBA first rounders. Other guys like Steisma, Leuer, Butch, Landry, and even Dukan have made NBA rosters. I don't think there is much evidence to say Wisconsin is "worse" at developing NBA talent, it just isn't landing as much of it as those programs. There are certainly many reasons why, but playing the game at reduced possessions as well as zero tolerance for turnovers are amongst them. That statement isn't entirely false. While Wisconsin has done a good job at developing players they are not all that good at showcasing that talent. Wisconsin has gotten a little bit better at it but they are no where near a Duke and Kentucky in terms of showcasing the talent that they have. This is really where Wisconsin has missed out on players and I think this is fine for Wisconsin basketball. I believe a school like Wisconsin and Michigan State are best when they are targeting players that they know are going to be committed to the team for at least 3-years. The system and the style that Wisconsin and Michigan State run is just a better match for someone who is going to be there for at least 3-years. Bringing in someone that is going to be there for a 1 and done just doesn't really fit into the system that Wisconsin and Michigan State run. This also makes the player more complete when they enter the draft and helps them out more and the players are already more acclimated to an NBA like program for players who go to Wisconsin or Michigan State than if they go to Kentucky or UNC.
  2. I don't want to see the Brewers going after anyone who is going to have a pick attached to them. It would be better to just trade for someone like Samardzija or Cueto than sign someone like Lynn and lose that pick. Signing someone like Lynn is just not worth it to lose a pick over.
  3. Bledsoe makes more sense as a 6th man than he does starting for the Bucks. Bledsoe coming off the bench when Giannis is not on the court would improve the bench offense a lot as he can create his own shot and shots for others better than Dellavedova can. I definitely would not trade Brogdon for Bledsoe. I would offer Vaughn, Henson/Monroe, and Dellavadova for Bledsoe and Chandler. I think the Suns would rather have Monroe and his expiring than Henson. If the Suns want a pick the best I would give them is 2nd round pick next year or the teams 1st in 2019 that is lottery protected.
  4. Which is crazy as he plays like he is 28 year old who has been in the league for 10+ years while still improving as a player and a leader.
  5. Let me get this straight... Stokes last year at the age of 21 split the season between A+ and AA where he put up just under a .800 OPS and 20 HRs/30 SBs. Orimoloye last year, at the age of 20, put up a .632 OPS and .281 OBP in low A with 11 HRs/38 SBs. Both were 4th round picks, Stokes is 11 months older. But Orimoloye is the better prospect. OK... I already listed why I like Demi over Stokes. Let me repeat this again I like Demi because of his raw power potential over what Stokes has done so far. Just so it is more apparent I bolded underlined and italicized it for you.
  6. Stokes played CF in high school, but this year, he was on the same team as Harrison for the most part, and was shunted off to left. That may have also been the case in 2016. So, it may be that any problems in CF come from being rusty, not a lack of talent. That is my point Stokes is not going to be a CF on the Brewers as long as Clark, Harrison, and Ray are on the team. You could even add Taylor to the mix also for CF. Stokes is just not all that good offensively for a LF or a RF he needs to be a CF to provide his full value otherwise you are looking at a AAAA player if he is going to be playing in the corner OF spot. He still has some value to the Brewers but not all that much as a 4th or 5th OF. Stokes is stuck in LF behind Clark, Harrison, and Ray so he has a rather large hill to climb before he even gets a chance so I don't see him being all that highly rated.
  7. Agreed. THIS was not called a travel lol The NBA doesn't really care if the refs don't call traveling and I think it is pretty much an unwritten rule that NBA superstars are allowed 1-2 extra steps before they will call a travel. So you are looking at 5 steps before a ref thinks about calling traveling on a superstar if they even will call it. You might see a superstar get a few traveling calls here and there but you won't see many and the NBA doesn't really want many of them to be called as these are usually when you see the highlight reel plays being made. The NBA should really just adopt a 4 step rule instead of the 3 it currently has. The majority of the time a player is going to take 1 or 2 extra steps and you could still get away with a 5 step technically if you can get your feet moving fast enough between your dribble to where you pick the ball up again. Giannis though is now in elite territory with Shaq, West, and Jordan being the only other players to start a season scoring 34+ points in each of their first 3-games. Doesn't really mean all that much but hey it has been a slow start of the week.
  8. If Stokes was a CF he would get a little bit more praise bit he is not and thus he looks to be a 4th OF at best. He is way behind Harrison and just above Tyrone Taylor on the OF list. I would even put him behind Ray and Demi in terms of prospect status and also behind Clark. Harrison, Clark, and Taylor are better athletes than Stokes and thus they rate higher for me and Demi has Bo Jackson level power potential. While he had a nice year I don't expect him to repeat it but you never know. He will definitely have a shorter leash than Clark, Harrison, and Ray have. Stokes will probably start out in AA with Harrison and Ray and probably Taylor also. If either Taylor or Stokes stumble next year Clark or someone else will be taking over for one of them. Stokes really needs to start off the year on fire as there are better prospects behind him who are going to be taking time away from him if he stumbles.
  9. The biggest flaw with the Cubs has always been the question of pitching. The Cubs haven't drafted all that well in terms of pitching or not at all. The Cubs have been focusing on mostly positional players in the draft. I haven't looked at the Cubs international player signings lately but I believe they have also focused on positional players over pitchers. The Cubs strategy is clear they will either trade or sign players to fill out their rotation or their bullpen. The system is pretty much dry right now so going forward the Cubs are going to have to sign someone to fill in the rotation or in the bullpen. The last I heard the Cubs ownership is not willing to go over the luxury tax for a long period of time. The Cubs are going to want to save their money for Bryant and Boras is not going to allow Bryant to sign an early extension with the Cubs unless it completely benefits Bryant over the Cubs. I don't see the Cubs resigning Arrieta I think the Cardinals are going to snatch him away from the Cubs. I believe Davis comes back to the Cubs though but that is going to cost the Cubs a lot in terms of money and years. The only way the Cubs are going to improve in the rotation is to trade a player. Schwarber would be the ideal player to trade as he is not an OF or a Catcher he really should be playing either 1B or more ideally at DH. The Rays could use Schwarber but is an Archer for Schwarber deal something the Rays would consider? I think the Rays would want Happ back in return over Schwarber and I don't think the Cubs will trade Happ unless they can somehow bring back Jay. The only positive going for the Cubs is that there is a lot of depth in FA for OF's so they could pick someone up on a slightly below market deal if they went that route. I don't see the Red Sox, Yankees, or the Dodgers playing in FA this year as they are going to wait for the following off season to spend on FA's plus the Yankees and the Red Sox are both trying to get under the luxury tax so it resets next year and then it would start all over again if they decide to pick up Harper or Machado. This is going to be a very interesting off season for the Cubs if they are not able to resign Arrieta or Davis they could be in trouble a little bit for next season. Schwarber or Happ would have to be traded to pick up another starter and Schwarber's value is very low after the season he just had plus there won't be many teams looking for a 1B/DH type of a player this off season and the teams that will be looking at that option will see if they can get Hosmer or Moustakas on cheaper deals.
  10. 1. Brinson 2. Burnes 3. Hiura 4. Luis Ortiz 5. Isan Diaz 6. Woodruff 7. Lutz 8. Gatewood 9. Dubon 10. Phillips 11. Fredy Peralta 12. Erceg 13. Ray 14. Trent Clark 15. Monte Harrison 16. Marcos Diplan 17. KJ Harrison 18. Mario Feliciano 19. Supak 20. Lemons 21. Larry Ernesto 22. Medeiros 23. Lara 24. Je'Von Ward 25. Carlos Rodriguez 26. Pennington 27. Ponce 28. Bickford 29. Nottingham 30. Taylor Williams I could keep going but I am going to stop here basically everyone from 20-whatever is interchangeable which is good and bad.
  11. The best option if you want to keep the teams in the same time zone is to go to a NBA/NHL league format.
  12. [sarcasm]This is just horrible I can't believe you left out the graetest Brewers SS on a playoff roster Yuni B![/sarcasm]
  13. Phoenix is essentially in PST during the whole baseball season as Arizona doesn't observe day light savings.
  14. Mexico City has a 0% chance because of the travel distance issue. It is the main reason for doing the whole expansion/realignment thing in the first place! It's also why Portland has a big advantage over another Texas team. The whole idea is to get the Rangers out of the west division, not add another Texas team for the Pacific time zone teams to have to fly to. If the Montreal situation fell through I could see Charlotte being the backup. But Montreal is easily the #1 city on the list so I don't think MLB will miss the opportunity to get a team back there. Except Manfred wants a team in Mexico City. Yes the travel is going to be bad but option #1 is Montreal and option #2 is Mexico City. There is a huge push by Manfred to get a team in Mexico City. Charlotte is the backup city if they can't get Mexico City to work. If the Rays and the A's can't get a stadium deal done then that team is going to move to Montreal or Charlotte though Manfred really really really wants to add two more teams to the league so Montreal is going to happen one way or the other. I think Portland is actually going to get the short end of the stick here and won't get a team as I think the A's are going to stay in Oakland some how. Mexico City has more than a 0% chance of happening. That travel issue is a problem but again MLB and Manfred want to expand into Mexico. It may not be Mexico City but a team in Mexico is on the agenda and is a real strong possibility.
  15. They have also been having end of spring training exhibitions in San Antonio for the past few years with some similar success. Anyone know if they have been doing anything similar in Portland? On a side note I am surprised that MLB is not looking to put a major league team in Charlotte. City/ Area has grown immensely since the last round of expansion.... Charlotte would probably be the #1 destination if MLB decides to move the Rays and to a lesser extent the A's. I think MLB would rather keep the A's on the west coast but if they are not able to move the Rays or are unwillingly to do so the A's would be the next option to move to Charlotte. I think Mexico City or a team in Mexico has a higher chance than a team in Portland or Charlotte. Montreal is definitely going to get a MLB team if there is expansion there is no doubt about it. The second team if they expand option #1 would be Mexico City followed by Portland, Charlotte, and San Antonio. Portland and San Antonio will get first looks over Charlotte as MLB is going to want to add another team on the west coast if they expand.
  16. The reason that Kapernick doesn't have a job is the same as why Tebow is not a back up QB. The media circus that follows both players is just too much of a head ache for a backup QB. Now if both were talented enough to be a starting QB it would be a little bit more tolerable but still a distraction. For a backup QB to cause that much of a distraction is just not worth it.
  17. This has been bugging me but the Edwards targeting call was just a horrible call. What was he supposed to do there jump over the receiver and risk injuring himself? It was a perfect form tackle and he gets called for targeting because the receiver ducks his head down as he is about to get hit. If Edwards moves his body in any other direction that hit becomes even more violent.
  18. The funny thing is he doesn't get hurt from taking shots in the pocket with inept offensive lines. Even going back to when we have Barclay coming off a ACL playing tackle vs Seattle and Minnesota and Rodgers was getting sacked 7 times, he wasn't allowing them to get good hits. He's usually has such incredible body control and footwork that he either shrugs off linemen or he kinda goes down without exposing himself. If Barr...one of my favorite LB'ers prior to this game doesn't take an extra step in order to drive Rodgers into the turn he's fine. . Collarbones are weird. Wrong angle and it doesn't take much to fracture them. Looks like he injured it the same way in 2013 versus the Bears.
  19. How long before Leonhard is either coaching in the NFL as a d-coordinator or is a head coach somewhere else?
  20. Another possible landing spot for Broxton could be the Mariners. A Vogelbach for Broxton trade would be close but I think the Brewers might have to throw in another player to complete this deal.
  21. I guess I am lucky all of the travelling I have done for work this year the only option has been king sized bed rooms.
  22. Not sure anyone else in here gets annoyed by programmers or coders who refuse to place any kind of notes in their work. OMG a simple fix to a piece of code and it took me all day to fix it because there was no documentation or notes on what they were doing. So frustrating especially since this person has left the company.
  23. Manny Parra man could he have been special. That 2008 season he was just used to much by Yost. I believe if he would have had his innings limited he wouldn't have fallen off the planet in the second half. It looked like he never really recovered after that. His body language was always woah is me after that second half.
  24. You could just do the flow chart in Word and then import that into PowerPoint. For the other pictures you could just use Paint to copy the pictures into the image of the tree you want. If you want to get more creative you can use GIMP (free) or PhotoShop to edit the images into the tree image.
  25. Clint Frazier only needs to last one more year I believe and then Gardner is a free agent it could be two but that doesn't matter really. The Yankees want to get under the penalty so Frazier won't be traded as he is a pre-arbitration player unless they are getting some pre-arbitration players back to fill other spots. I don't see the Braves trading any of their young pitching going forward.
