  1. Aren't those Miami guys both sophomores? Unless I am missing something, I don't think either is draft eligible until 2016. hmmm could have sworn they were both Juniors.
  2. My top 5: OF Willie Abreu (University of Miami) (I hope he drops to the Brewers) C Wyatt Cross (HS) 1B Zack Collins (University of Miami) LHP Hunter Bowling (HS) RHP Nolan Kigham (HS) If somehow Abreu slips through and falls to the Brewers I do not see how you could pass him up. A left handed hitting power OF who can play either corner OF now that is something you can't pass up and should never pass up. Hopefully he falls to the Brewers but I doubt he will.
  3. Actually he makes a lot of solid contact due to his plus plus bat speed. He also makes a lot of adjustments in game with his swing when he is not getting results. He is a very advanced hitter for his age. Most of the scouts believe there is only very small tinkering that would be needed to be made with his swing. He is also going to look awkward swinging the bat with his height and length think more along the lines of Corey Hart who always looked very awkward when swinging the bat. I don't see how you could say he is a 30% or worse strikeout player as he is only 17 years old which means he has a lot of room to grow yet. His swing is going to change a lot between now and if or when he finally reaches the majors. Again his swing is not all that bad and there only a few minor things that he needs to change in his approach. Plus this is mostly BP you are seeing and BP swings can be very different than actual in game swings. If you watch later into the video you can see he is making adjustments to his swing. The only thing I worry about with his swing is his stride which is longer than normal but otherwise he has a fairly good and fluid swing for being as tall as he is. He also looks to be a plus defender in RF while also having an above average to plus capable arm in RF. This is the type of a player you take a gamble on and I actually like Reyes swing better than Lara's swing.
  4. The Brewers are pushing rather hard to leave Maryvale and it seems as though once a new spring training facility can be built and finished they will be leaving Maryvale. This is the vibe that I have been getting and it is either going to be in Peoria or in Scottsdale.
  5. The Brewers do not have a chance to sign Alvarez as the Dodgers are going to be all over him. I would rather get someone like Franklin Reyes (OF) or take a gamble on Luis Medina (RHP). Franklin Reyes From Fangraphs: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/scouting-the-top-2015-july-2nd-prospects/
  6. Without dragging this thing all political but I believe Binsbacher had about 47% of the votes in November. She would only need to pick up 3% and there will definitely be less voter turnout then so it is possible that she gets the vote but that doesn't really matter. In order for a new stadium to be put up which will cost over $500k I believe would have to go on a ballot for the voters to vote on. I think I know exactly where they want to put the new stadium which would be awesome for me as I could just walk there for every spring training game.
  7. This years movies to me just feel uninspiring to watch. I don't know why I feel this way but I just do not feel inspired to go out to the movie theater and watch anything this year. Obviously there is Star Wars and I will probably go and see that but if I don't I will just catch it on Blu-ray. Well anyways here are my top 10 movies I am waiting for: 1. Star Wars 2. Straight Outta Compton 3. Avengers: Age of Ultron 4. Spectre 5. Crimson Peak 6. Mad Max: Fury Road 7. Ted 2 8. Ant-Man 9. Terminator: Genisys 10. Chappie This was an extremely hard list to put together.
  8. It is the city of Peoria not wanting to spend tax dollars on another stadium in Peoria.
  9. I have been receiving a lot of political calls lately to call my representative to tell them to vote no on a new spring training facility in Peoria. When I mean a lot I mean a minimum of 3-5 phone calls a day. I had 7 voice mails today just on this topic.
  10. What about Tom Izzo? He has been very successful at Michigan State with very average to above average talent.
  11. If the Padres are interested in Sardinas you would have to ask for Wisler. While Wisler isn't going to blow people away with his fastball he can command it accurately on both sides of the plate and his curveball which is a plus pitch does create a lot of strike outs. The Brewers would basically be getting back what they traded away to get Sardinas just a younger version of Gallardo in Wisler. I would ask for Wisler and Quintana from the Padres for Sardinas. That gives the Brewers another mid rotation starter in Wisler and a 1B/OF in Quintana as I don't believe Quintana will be able to stay at 3B. Quintana has the power but is plagued with high strike outs.
  12. Rua is not a 3B. His defense is just bad there he is really only a 2B OF and an emergency 1B.
  13. https://twitter.com/JeffWilson_FWST He does have this about a proposed Evan Gattis trade so something similar. Not sure if the Rangers would give up either of those players for Gallardo though I was thinking Gonzalez but it looks like the Rangers like him a lot.
  14. If Profar is off the table why would Gallo be available? no He would be a good platoon and utility infielder to match up with Segura and Gennett. I think it is Gonzalez and another player for Gallardo which would be a steal for the Brewers. I wouldn't be surprised then to see Mark A. to go out and get Scherzer after this trade is done. Right now it is the Tigers and a slight rumor of the Cardinals looking at Scherzer not much of a market and the Tigers have just been waiting for a team to show interest in Scherzer so they can say hey we tried and we couldn't resign him.
  15. Profar is not part of the package of players coming to the Brewers. My guess is Rua or Gonzalez.
  16. Top 5 teams in the NL by OOZ% 1. Rockies 35.3% 2. Giants 34.5% 3. Brewers 34.3% 4. Braves 33.0% 5. Reds 32.6%
  17. Going to pimp this game again.
  18. There was only one good CD this year and that was: .5: The Gray Chapter by Slipknot
  19. It would translate to about 5 HR's a year.
  20. Fixed. Incorrect again. I wish people would stop posting lies as facts.
  21. I believe the Brewers are in on Craig right now they are just waiting on a team to take Parra. I don't see the Brewers giving up Gallardo or Lohse in a trade here and there may have to be a 3rd team to get a deal done.
  22. Would have to give up more to get Cecchini in that deal. I am not sure who the Red Sox would want but it would probably start with a higher ranked prospect than Jungmann. Now Lohse for Craig and the Red Sox pay about $15m of his contract that would be fine.
  23. While true there is a high demand for people to do SQL queries I have found that some of the even entry level positions for some strange reason are asking for 3-5 years of experience with SQL queries. Which makes no sense at all as most of the entry level jobs that require SQL are basically a click and run SQL queries that are already made for you.
  24. How would you describe Weeks as a defender? Young Weeks stone hands very good range and a strong arm. Weeks after all of the injuries strong arm with no range and still has stone hands.
