  1. I haven't heard Corey Hart's at bat music yet this year but if it is another country song can we at least try and get a good country song for him that is somewhat listenable? (Is that a word?) I was thinking this might fit Corey's taste in country music
  2. Have you tried cleaning the fan? Use a q-tip or some condensed air and clean out the dust in the fan.

  4. Bush and Davis are no worse than the Cardinals #3 and #4 starter. So if everyones out look on Bush and Davis are doom and gloom I wonder what everyone thinks about the Cardinals #3, 4, and 5 pitchers are like. The Brewers should win 85 games this year with some luck they could win up to 90 games. The NL central is not all that strong and their is no one team in the NL central that is definite favorite to win the division.
  5. Neither of those teams will take Suppan.
  6. I think the Brewers are setting up Suppan to start the year with either Parra or Narveson as the #5 starter. Pure speculation but I believe if Parra or Narveson are not performing in the month of April as the #5 starter you will probably see Suppan get that #5 spot when he returns from the DL or take over Villa's bullpen spot.
  7. This sounds like pure speculation by the writers, with no source. There's just no reason for the Brewers to trade him. It is but it is something intriguing to look at and discuss.
  8. Not something that I would like to see happen but it looks as though the Mariners are looking for some pitching and no they wouldn't be looking to trade for Suppan. If the Brewers were to trade Parra to the Mariners who could they get in return for Parra? I am not sure the Brewers would get much and I don't believe Melvin will even consider trading Parra unless Melvin is blown away by a deal from the Mariners for Parra. From Rosenthal and Morosi.
  9. I think Hart needs to be looking over his shoulder. There are some prospects that are definitely on the cusp of making the team and there is Gerut and Edmonds on the team who maybe taking time away from Hart. I wouldn't be against a Hart/Edmonds platoon in RF that is probably the best thing for Edmonds and Hart. After this year I'm not even sure that Hart will be on the team. Lorenzo Cain may not be the ideal person you would want in RF but he is going to be pushing Hart for playing time in RF next year and may well just win the job out there if Cain has a good year in the minors this year. Cain may even come up this year and take Hart's job from him later in the year. Hart may have a year like Werth or he may have a year like Hall where it looks as though he is done.
  10. I have actually had the opposite experience with Sprint. My calls were always getting dropped with Sprint well not always but a large percent of them. I did get an iPhone recently and AT&T can be spotty sometimes but I haven't had a drop call yet and the other problems I was having with Sprint haven't been happening yet on AT&T. I can now use my cell phone at my house though which I couldn't with Sprint.
  11. I'm not going to include anyone who is going to be making the majors. For batter I was really impressed with Cain again this year hopefully he is 100% healed from his injury last year. He put up some nice numbers in spring training maybe a late season call up if Hart continues to struggle? I know this is only spring training but Cain looked good again this spring. I wonder if he will start out in AAA or if he will start out in AA. PLAYER AVG G AB R H TB 2B 3B HR RBI ------ --- - -- - - -- -- -- -- --- L Cain .286 14 21 11 6 11 0 1 1 2 [/pre]As for pitchers I really liked what I saw from Braddock and Axford the future bullpen looks real nice with Axford and Braddock in it (still hoping Braddock can develop into a starter though). What I really liked about Braddock and Axford was there command the numbers for Axford really aren't there but Axford only walked two while striking out seven. Yes I know it is spring training and the stats don't mean much but when I did get to see or listen to some of the games these two will probably be in Milwaukee sometime this year. PLAYER W L S ERA G GS CG SHO IP H R ER ------ - - - --- - -- -- --- -- - - -- Z Braddock 1 0 0 0.00 4 0 0 0 5.0 5 0 0 J Axford 0 1 1 5.00 7 0 0 0 9.0 11 6 5[/pre]Who do you have as being most impressed with? Disappointments would be Lucroy and Salome but I wouldn't really put the blame on them since they didn't really get much playing time.
  12. Well since Melvin and others are really high on Axford I could see what Macha was talking about. I think Axford is going to be the closer for the Sounds this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see Axford back in Milwaukee sometime this year someone is going to get injured or be ineffective and Axford is going to get the first call up for a bullpen spot.
  13. With Gamel's injury and McGehee's uncertainty if he can stay healthy it would be wise for the Brewers to look at another 3B option Lowell just isn't an option. The health issues are just way to high to even consider Lowell as an option at 3B. With Heether being the only real alternative to McGehee at 3B or at least until Gamel gets healthy that is which may not be until June or July. Not being down on Gamel it is just the reality here that Gamel is probably won't be ready to go until about June the earliest and around July or August the latest.
  14. You are forgetting a few spots where the offense will be better at than last year. Two significant spots that could improve is from RF (Hart, Gerut, Edmonds) and Catcher (Zaun, and whoever the backup will be). Now Zaun will be better than Kendall though his OBP probably won't be as good as Kendall's though Zaun did have a better OBP than Kendall did last year in the AL. Now Hart can not be as bad as he was last year could he? If Hart improves on his 2009 season that could be a major boost to the offense. If Edmonds is platooning with Hart out in RF I still do not see that as a problem. In reality there is only really two spots where our offense is going to be significantly worse than it was in 2009 and that is at 2B and CF. If Gerut and Gomez can be a successful platoon out in center field that would be fine since CF is also one of the areas where offense is usually valued a little lower compared to the defense. I don't see Braun or Fielder regressing all that much in 2010 so LF and 1B shouldn't be a concern. The small step back at LF and 1B will be very insignificant the only way it would be a concern is if either one of them gets injured for a long period of time then that would be a major concern. I believe the Brewers are closer to being a 85 win team than they are of a low 80's win team.
  15. Prince won't get a 8 year $184m deal. I highly doubt anyone will give Fielder that long of a contract if he goes to free agency though Boras will try but I highly doubt Prince will get that. I could see something around 5-7 years around the $90-105m mark though. I'm going to guess the Brewers will offer Prince something around 5 years and $90m at some point which sounds about right for Prince with most of it being back loaded I guess.
  16. Releasing Bush would be a bad idea. There is no way you can count on Capuano being anything other than a long relief pitcher at this time. He doesn't even have the stamina yet to pitch anything more than 4-5 innings at best. Counting on Capuano is like counting on Suppan to be the ace of your pitching staff you are just going to be disappointed. I think Narveson/Parra will be in the bullpen and the rotation will be down to Narveson/Parra/Suppan for the #5 spot. I don't see the Brewers giving up on Bush and there isn't anything that the Brewers could get to replace Bush in a trade that will help them right now so trading Bush wouldn't be a good idea either. The amount of money that is owed to Bush is nothing and shouldn't even be in consideration for releasing him either. At the end of spring training I expect the rotation to look like this Gallardo, Wolf, Bush, Davis, Suppan with Narveson and Parra being in the bullpen yes that would mean three lefties in the bullpen. The only player I see who could be in risk of being released would be Riske. If Riske is physically able to pitch but is not 100% healthy I could see the Brewers dumping Riske if they are not able to put him on the DL to start out the year. If the Brewers have to trade someone I believe it will be Narveson the Brewers won't be able to trade Suppan unless someone gets real desperate or if some GM gets Mooresyndrome (this is a very bad disease if you are a GM). I don't see Melvin trading either Bush or Parra because he knows that he will need both of those pitchers because one of the starters will get injured and it will probably be Suppan. As far as Capuano as I stated before you can't really rely on him at all and I don't see him as being the #3 or #4 option out of Nashville. Butler is probably #1 followed by Villy being #2 with Bush, Parra, Suppan, and Narveson all being ahead of those two. The Brewers are going to need the starting pitching depth to compete. I could see at least one of Suppan, Bush, or Davis getting injured or aggravating an old injury.
  17. In order for the Bucks to get the 4th seed they would have to pass Atlanta in W/L record. Boston is guaranteed a top 4 spot if they win their division and it looks as though they will. The Bucks could catch the Hawks but I'm not sure there is enough games left for the Bucks to catch them. I believe the Bucks will end up with the 5th or 6th seed though if Boston limps into the playoffs I would rather see the Bucks play the Celtics than the Hawks. I like the Bucks chances of beating the Celtics more than the Bucks beating the Hawks though I believe the Bucks match up better with the Hawks than they do with the Celtics.
  18. From wiki: "The team that has the best record in each of the three divisions in each conference is declared division champion. The three champions, and the one other team in the conference with the best record are seeded one through four by their records. This guarantees that the division champions will be no lower than fourth seed, and also ensures that a conference's two best teams (by record) are ranked as the top two. Of the remaining eleven conference teams, the four with the best records are seeded fifth through eighth based on their records." "The previous playoff format, in place for the 2004-05 and 2005-06 NBA Playoffs, after the NBA was re-aligned into six divisions, created controversy during the 2005-06 season and playoffs, and would be changed prior to the 2006-07 NBA season.[2][/sup] NBA division winners were seeded higher than any other playoff participants, regardless of their record. Prior to 2004, when NBA was aligned into two conferences with two divisions each, the top two seeds in each conference were reserved for the division winners. This meant that top two teams in a conference (by record) would be seeded either first and second (if they were in opposite divisions) or first and third (if they were in the same division). Because of the NBA playoffs' preset matchups in the second round, this meant that the top two teams in a conference could never meet until the Conference Finals, assuming they both made it to that round. After the NBA realigned its two conferences into three divisions each, the seeding rules remained largely unchanged. The top three seeds would now be reserved for division winners. This meant that if the top two teams (by record) in a conference were in the same division, they would be ranked first and fourth, and would face each other in the Conference Semifinals, instead of the Conference Finals, if both teams won their first round series."
  19. Ahhh caught myself there. I forgot the NBA changed the rules in 2005 with the playoffs. Was going to say not correct but you are correct 4th is the best the Bucks can do.
  20. I'm not comparing Chris Paul and Brandon Jennings here but their rookie lines are somewhat close to each other. Chris Paul Year Team G GS MPG FG% 3P% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG 05-06 NOK 78 78 36.0 0.430 0.282 0.847 0.8 4.3 5.1 7.8 2.2 0.1 2.35 2.79 16.1Brandon Jennings Year Team G GS MPG FG% 3p% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG 09-10 MIL 60 60 33.2 0.366 0.375 0.806 0.6 3.0 3.6 6.0 1.3 0.3 2.5 2.3 15.9And another PG that people seem to love and their Rookie year Deron Williams Year Team G GS MPG FG% 3P% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG 05-06 UTA 80 47 28.8 0.421 0.416 0.704 0.4 2.0 2.4 4.5 0.8 0.2 1.81 2.91 10.8So yeah Jennings does have to improve with his percentage and that will come in time. But Jennings shouldn't really be the main option or even the #3 option as far as scoring goes. Jennings should be the guy that is dishing the ball and setting up opportunities for his teammates to score like Bogut and others.
  21. I wouldn't say the Mariners won't be in contention this season. Basically everyone in that division has gotten worse except the Rangers and the Mariners. The Angels have a lot of question marks and the A's maybe to young to really compete. The AL West to me is down to the Rangers and the Mariners. The Mariners definitely have the better pitching than the Rangers but I would take the Rangers offense over the Mariners though. I think the Rangers will win the AL West this year but it should come down to the Rangers and the Mariners in the AL West.
  22. Actually I think Gamel would be in Cleveland right now. I don't think the Indians would have had as much interest in Heyward he would have been in what A or A+ in the minors at the time. I believe you could have easily replaced LaPorta with Gamel in the C.C. trade and the trade still would have gone through with Cleveland.
  23. I'm glad I didn't buy Dante's Inferno that game was just a very badly done rip off of the God of War series. The gameplay was awful rather hard to see what you were actually doing in the game and it was rather short and it wasn't all that hard either even on the hardest level. I was hoping that game would be at least somewhat fun before God of War 3 comes out but alas no.
  24. Completely taken out of context I don't see anywhere in that article that he says he is not changing his approach. All that article was about was basically about how Suppan was preparing for the upcoming season I don't expect someone to change their approach on how they prepare for a season and I don't see how changing it would help or hurt Suppan at all or any other player for that matter.
